Move the MIDI jack around the back, then move the two knobs for the Modulation Generator above the knobs for Envelope Generator 1, and then put in a third oscillator (while moving the relevant stuff into the freed-up space to the right now).
the sound demo from another YT channel of this MKⅡ version doesn't sound as good as the MKⅠ sound demos. not as thick, etc. is this inadvertently because of the switch to V/oct. for all CV/gate i/o?
Not sure… could be how it’s recorded. According to an owner of both they sound almost identical, with MK2 having slightly better features. Mines arriving at the end of the week, so I’ll be able to do my own sound tests.
Ohh nice. I've never actually played on a real MS-20 myself, though really enjoyed the various Korg apps over the years. I hear what you say about space as gear needs to earn a slot in my home studio. You should be able to rack mount this guy with some ~£20 rack ears - which might help.
This appears to be based on the MS20M desktop synth released in 2015 as a limited edition kit. The Korg version had mod options on the PCB so the separate OSC2 CV in and separate VCO O/P's were available with a bit of soldering and extra jacks added. Maybe these mod points are on the Behringer PCB?
I have both and honestly, the only real difference is the Osc sync and the FM, which are obviously awesome but apart from that, they sound pretty much the same. It's not that the MKI wasn't good enough. In fact, I still love the MKI version and even if space is an issue, I might actually keep both. I just wish they implemented the ability to control pitch of individual oscillators, because as it is now, it's not possible to modulate the pitch to get a hands-free Osc sync sound. You need to manually change pitch of Osc 2...............
The main differences appear to be 'OSC Sync, FM and PWM plus V/Oct. for all CV/Gate in/out'. Not managed to get my hands on one yet for a deep dive though.

Thanks for your contribution.
Yes I would have to agree , just like my Roland System1M. Good call.
@@andrewverran3498 Maybe something for Behringer to consider for the MK3 😁

The original MS-20 was my first synth in 1979 - cost about £425.00. I'd buy this Mk2 I think - if I can find space in the studio.

Have you checked to see if thte mod points on are the MK1 version of the K-2? This might give you a clue...
Available in Thomann!!!
Indeed! I've just ordered one.
Main question is How does it sound?
Yes indeed.

Thanks for stopping by. I think I found your phone demo on Facebook. Really appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts.
@@3dims That was indeed me with that crappy phone demo! :) Cheers!
That's so cool. The circle is complete!
…Osc sync,FM and PWM
@@dilloinitaliano thanks. Appreciate the input.
So what extra things can it do compared to MK1 ??
