Might want to consider adding "No Taunt" in the title. Also from the looks of it, guess there isn't any difference between VH and Revengeance difficulty other than parry multiplier and getting one shot.
I did this on very hard and he seems to throw a lot more grabs and that one rocket attack a lot more often, but im not sure if that's just a taunt thing
He was never planning on killing Sam so he probably took the fight as he would say as an "interview". While Raiden had the full intention of killing him. Armstrong wasnt planning on holding back either so putting down the glasses was a sign to show Raiden that "the game is on".
Never played, but looks like there are some I-frames at play here (Invulnerability frames, where you cannot take damage). Guessing Dodge rolls trigger I-frames, even if you roll INTO the attack

I tried this recently on a full s rank at temp at dlc 1 on revengance difficulty(I missed the last mission before the fight, yay..) To be kind of honest, Armstrong without taunting isn’t much harder, yeah he takes longer to beat. But if anything that gives you a longer combo. Being more beneficial for the S rank. Although, his second phase is still a pain in the ass. In conclusion, dlc Armstrong feels somewhat underwhelming to me(it says something when the DL mission 4 gave me more trouble than this boss fight.)
Is there's even a point of taunting armstrong? I know that you'll deal lots of damage in exchange for 5x aggressiveness and without any chance to fight back

Never mind, I tried it myself and there is. Armstrong powers up upon getting hit once in Revengeance.

@@daviddragonheart6798 Indeed the case. Tricky to make it work with the forward dodge, but all dodge attacks have i-frames.
It's all about timing, I was able to do it as well after I lost like 10 times against Armstrong with Raiden on my first ever run
