MercuryX is such a magical and inspiring pedal. Appreciate the detailed video. Question, when using the MercuryX just as Delay pedal (with the dry blend at 0%) we can select the subdivisions of the repeats, but where do we set the bpm that will "govern" those repeats? Same question when using some of the modulation effects. I am not sending bpm via MIDI
I have both LVX and Mercury X and can say the coin invested is WHERE its at. I use the Helix and these folks worked for Strymon-Line6 and can say they are two great pedals. I've created 100s of presets, some slightly different than the next but man, like the Helix would have to replace it if went down and hope it never does.
It might be time for a video on selecting a big box reverb. I think both are capable of truly incredible reverb sounds, but the big difference in my mind comes in feature set and workflow. If you want to max out your pedalboard with a huge array of sounds, the Mercury X is a great option, but if you're just looking for a good ambient verb, the Illumine or even Immerse Mk II are great options as well!
I haven't! To be honest, I'm so run and gun a lot of the time that I do a fairly poor job of cataloging sounds overall I think once I have a bit of a buildup of more polished sounds curated I might throw it up! I feel like presets have to be reaaaaaaaaally versatile to be worth sharing tbh
Would be cool to hear the onboard presets as well (or maybe just what you think the highlights are). The only videos I've seen of them have been a let down.
I don't think it would replace it per se, the gear I keep around I view as a modular solution for creating sounds, I think the Mercury X really excels at creating ambient and textural reverbs, but I also love the way that the bigsky plays into low wattage amps and smaller rigs. all in all, I don't really think of gear as a this or that, but more often how do things complement each other
Sounds incredible!!! I've wanted this pedal since it came out but haven't dropped the coin yet.. I think I'm about to though. Beautiful sounds man..
12:36 YEEEHAW! 🤠

The hold modifier can be set to a tap tempo action on a per preset basis if you need to access things that way!
@ thank you. Is there a way to manually set the bpm?

Do you prefer this or the illumine for sheer beauty of sound?

Have you put your presets up on Patchstorage? Care to share?

@signalpath Cool.

Something to explore! I wanted to focus mainly on how to build your own sound, but there are some amazing sounds in the factory presets
@@signalpath Definitely. And, while I don't own one (yet), this would make for a great video manual.
Is this going to replace the BigSky for you?

I love my Mercury X..I put Gravity on.. and get lost in its immense beauty...
it's so good!
Opening guitar audio distorted.
It's coming from the Op Amp Preamp, adding just a bit of heat and saturation to the lows when I dig in
