Great video! It’s cool hearing you talk honestly about your studio monitors. I have a pretty base-level pair myself and the idea of what makes a “good” studio monitors has always been daunting to me.
it really comes down to what is going to feed you information to make good choices, definitely a learning journey I'm on, but many of the mix guys that I look up to talk about reference material and monitoring quietly as keys to good mixes in any listening environment there's always more money you can spend on gear and process, but I think at the end of the day, digging in where we are and learning to make the most of what we have is the key to breakthrough in many of these things. Cheers!
Great one! Eager for your thoughts on Behringer and clones. Covet my Sequential and Novation gear. Own some Behringer as a last resort--difficult to beat on value. Happy 2025!
its as much fun as it causes problems haha. I'm definitely aiming to do more drumming content in 2025, but definitely more aimed at pocket stuff than the real rock and roll. I did get to kick over some drums on Mark Johnston's channel a while ago for his crushturnal video: ua-cam.com/video/eJc_IvmkXKI/v-deo.html Was kinda a janky setup at the time, but gives an ok idea of what the kit is sounding like
