I would honestly just wait til she is here. We thought we were having a big baby and then I went into labor at 36 weeks and ended up being 6lbs. She was in newborn for 2 months. But then we jumped through 0-3 & 3-6m. We were in 6-9m for a while and then 12 months for a while. Every baby is just so different on how they grow.
Most likely your baby will live in footed sleepers at first since you will be changing them so much-the best are the two way zippers where you can zip from the bottom or the top and with the built in mittens so they aren’t constantly falling off😊 I’m a new mom with a 10 week old and had no clue how many I’d go through and how much I hated putting a little baby in intricate clothing lol😅

To be very honest I have 4 children and one on the way and I never put them in a bath tube. I shower all of them. When they were super little I showered them with me and as they got older I showered them by themselves, and it’s worked wonders
So excited for you! I don’t have kids but a suggestion would be to place the diapers in the other top drawer so that you can have it open while standing in front of the changing pad. Hope you don’t mind me saying that! I’m sure you have been and will get so many unsolicited advice 😩 You will find your groove and make the perfect finishing touches that work best for you when she’s here. I’m really hoping she makes her debut the 14th!!!
I was about to make the same suggestion! Standing in front of the drawer that has the diapers & wipes will be a bit challenging having it on the right side would make it easier to get these items faster if needed. 😊
I have had people get little inflatable pools and put in the shower for a bath. Then put the baby’s bathtub in there. That’s just if you don’t have a bathtub. I went through like a couple packs of diapers the first week so you might want to get a couple more. Congratulations on baby though. I’m pregnant with my 3rd right now
I don't have a bath tub either so for both of my kids I bought a large tub and an insert for new born I used until they were able to sit on the tub. Also baby will be able to shower with you as soon as she gains some neck control so dont worry too much about it 😊 love the color scheme of the nursery
There’s always the baby in the sink method.
I didn’t have a bathtub for the first year and a half for my son! We used the Stokke like you have and then once he started sitting on his own i bought a large clear tote from target and it worked perfect! Lol
I know so many people say not to buy a lot of newborn clothes but I know personally speaking I didn’t even have enough. My daughter wore the same things over and over again because everybody swore to me that they weren’t going to last long. Definitely something I regret not buying more of!
How much would you say someone should plan for?? :)
For the shower situation. We do have a bathtub but it is a huge soaker tub and not convenient for bathing because I can’t each over the sides. Only works if I get in with him.
We have done kitchen sink baths until about 2 and then our son started liking to shower. Still made it fun with some toys and such.

I had a little one last year in February and he wore newborn for at least two months. I can’t believe your just now nesting, my anxiety made me do it way early. Oh don’t forget to pack one of your swaddles you plan to use for bedtime. It was so helpful having them get used to how they will be sleeping.

Love Land Before Time, too cute. Hope to get a baby subscription box when our baby is a little bit older. We looked at a few brands & boxes & since we have some toys already that kinda are like what they are selling we will check out the older boxes. Baby board books/books you can wipe off/easily clean I recommend. There is a teething mitten I want to try.
With my current youngest, I used a plastic storage tote as her bath tub. Worked really well.

Use a small
Inflatable pool, set it in the shower fill it up with water when you’re done dump it out
I know this wasn’t recent but my 2nd baby girl is due February 14th too and it also happens to be my birthday and Valentine’s Day of course❤
Honestly just have 3 to 4 of each size at least and then if you need more, you can get more. With the button sleepers, you can always use those during the day when she naps and put her in the zipper ones at night so you don't have as much of a hard time with nighttime changes.
Yes you will want long sleeve zipper footed onesies, especially for at home & at night.
New mom here & I love Honest diaper spray and there is another brand that has a spray too, way better & easier than cream you have to actually put on with your fingers, the black/white/red baby mobile, you can never have too many bottles and pacifiers (especially for at night & bedtime), baby gloves/mittens are helpful so they don’t scratch themselves & for when they keep putting their hands in their mouth & trying to chew on them, our pack n play we have in the living room because I work from home & I use it everyday, we have a bouncer now & our 4 month old loves it. Our baby has ezcma so we use Dreft laundry detergent & CeraVe. So many more baby products & things, but that’s all I can think of right now while the babe is up for a early morning bottle.

And if worse comes to worse, you can always use your kitchen sink put a towel down inside the sink, a clean sink fill it up with your bathwater and bath them in the kitchen sink

Trust me, you will definitely need more clothes and sleepers with zippers and the ones that are open at the bottom, either tie at the bottom or just open. You can never have enough of those lol along with burp cloths.

I hate zipper sleepers... gowns are the best things to buy... it took 3 babies for me to realize that...
You want to make sure the cosleeper is in line with your mattress :) not below or above… if she were to roll into the mattress that is a suffocation hazard
We renovated our one and only bathroom where we used to have a tub and now we don’t and literally had a baby right after and I was like 🙃 lol but all is well. We got one of those sink bathing “tubs” and I bathed him in our kitchen sink until he could stand in his own. Then he would just take regular showers with me. Kinda hard regarding space since it’s a stand in shower. I would sit on the shower floor with him with a couple toys and (you’ll laugh at this part) put him in a huge salad bowl for a slight bath tub effect😂 obviously didn’t last long but he has just as much fun in the shower with toys; tub or no tub. Honestly I was really worried about that for some reason
Eeek this is funny. I did the crib the night before I went I to labor. I was 9 days early. I worked. And just didn’t feel good. To make a long story short. I went in at 4am had her at 815 am. I have 2 kids. No bath! No problem. When they are tiny you wash them in the sink. Later a chair or angel-care seat in the shower.

Would it be crazy to just use a clear bin (like a big one that you store stuff in) for baths?? There doesn’t seem to anything special about the one you got (like no safety features). Idk 🤷♀️ might be a way save some dollars
