A fun activity i recommend for Rocky to help him feel more involved with baby sis is “activity sticks”, writing different things on popsicle sticks that he can help with (picking an outfit, buckling car seat belt, help with bath, etc) and having him pick one out every day to show her what a good bro he is. My sister did this for my nephew and he loved it!!

Hi! The length of your cervix is related to effacement. So when it’s long it means it’s not thin or stretched enough for the baby to pass through. Dilation is how open it is. So you can be 1.5 cm dilated and not effaced which is typical in 2nd and later pregnancies until you’re closer to birth! You need to be 100% effaced to dilated to 10cm to give birth. I hope that helps! I did not understand effacement with my first.

If no one has said it yet the rumble seat is the only one that will fit on the bottom part of the stroller. So not the regular toddler seat that comes with the stroller when you buy it as a one seater. It's too big. So they make the second rumble seat a bit smaller and it will fit on the bottom perfectly with the carseat on top. 😊
The bassinet only fits on the bottom with the vista! You cannot put bassinet on top with toddler on bottom /: and the standard seat that came with your stroller will never fit on the bottom! You have to but the additional toddler rumble seat to go on bottom (it’s slightly different than the standard seat that comes with the vista)

Yes. From what I can tell and have seen other double strollers are similar. I think the bassinet has to go on the bottom because of weight distribution.

After having a ten pound baby, I can share that our bodies are magical and create these tiny humans so perfectly for us! My ten pound baby actually was an easier labor than my nine pound baby ☺️ All the luck to you mama!🤍

@@kathrynswan6423 how amazing! My girl was 10 pounds and sunny side up and I remember her wanting to come out so fast the doctors were shocked since she was face up! But I do think big babies are great sleepers, both mine have been great🥰 nothing wrong with big babies!!!

So for your Uppababy Vista, you would need to purchase the rumble seat to attach to the bottom. The toddler seat will only connect at the top of the stroller not the bottom. You can attach the bassinet and car seat at the top and rumble seat at the bottom. Despite its 35 pound limit, your older kiddo can use it for a little while. I just tested its limit at Disney a few months ago and put my now 5 year old in the rumble seat, and she fit fine and the seat was still as sturdy as day one (she’s tinier and 39 lbs)

I’m not 100% sure about this but I think the only seat that can be used with the car seat is the rumble seat. I have it already because I’m due in July but haven’t tried it yet.

As far I as I could find with the vista the toddler has to go on top and the bassinet/capsule has to go on the bottom. Makes no sense! I will be getting rid of my uppababy soon and getting the baccani lusso double because it was the best one I could find that had the option for bub on top

You need to purchase the rumble seat which is different than the toddler seat the uppa baby comes with in order for it to fit that way… flawed design it’s a pain
The toddler seat unfortunately only goes on top. You have to purchase the rumble seat for the bottom to put a toddler if you want a baby closer to you

You need the rumble seat. The toddler seat stays in the top position for balance it needs to stay on that axis. If you put the heavier bigger baby on the bottom position there’s a tipping hazard.

I was 36 weeks and 1 day when I got my first cervical check with my daughter (she's a couple months younger than Rocky) and I was 1cm at that point. My mucus plug fell out two days later then my water broke and my daughter was born at 36 weeks and 5 days. Pregnancy is just wild and amazing so excited for your family. I would ask if you could get a foley ball catheter to help induce labor. It helps you to dilate and get labor started. I had my midwife put that in when I was pregnant with my son
I had that as well just to avoid the traditional induction the next day. It worked that night!
Okay I have only heard terrible things about the foley ball and I was scared to do it!!
It was slightly uncomfortable and awkward but they put it in earlier in the day and it fell out on its own that evening which means it was working. I went into labor that night and had my son the next morning. To me, that was better than the pitocin, more natural and less intense way of kick starting labor. I was scheduled for induction the next morning and wanted any way to avoid that. Just don't make any plans to go anywhere that day since you have a catheter tube taped down your thigh. Another tip is to have a puppy pad for the seat of your car cuz it can leak. Good luck to you, you got this whichever way you decide to go!

What have you heard about the foley that’s terrible?? I had one with my last and it worked amazingly and my doctor did it as an outpatient, so meant less time in the hospital. I’m doing an elective induction this time around at 39weeks and going the same route. Also with the Uppababy what everyone else has said is correct. If you want the bassinet up top you need the rumble seat. But you can just keep the bassinet on the bottom with your current set up.
By any chance how much fluid do you have?
I believe it was like 21.5 cm!
