The Brimstone Messenger. A Painting on Hazel Wood Slice.

It's been a long winter. March has brought not only wind to stir the dancing daffodils, but snow to make them shiver. The seeds are coming up fast now and the other day I spotted my first Brimstone butterfly in the garden. It was like a dark cloud had lifted and Spring had finally arrived! I decided to capture it in paint on a small hazel wood slice.
