I completely understand how this matter could be a hard decision to make but what I can tell you is that follow your heart and do what your heart tells you to do. This whole thing is about risk and it's not a guarantee that they will take you for Law the following year but what I know is that it's easier to transfer when you already on the system. So this is basically a 50/50 things but I hope you will make a good decision or if possible, cann UMP and tell them that you want to change your 1st choice and they will assist you

Hey, dropping out is normal for many students for various reasons so that wouldn't be a problem. As long as you qualify for the course you would want to do and also beware if you funded by Nsfas, the next time you apply, you'll be left with 2 remaining years

@Nolos-h5h If you didn't take a gap year, then you don't have to reapply for Nsfas, but if you did, then you'll have to reapply for Nsfas. I am failing to understand your question. When applying at UJ. Did you apply for the same course or a new course?

Hey, in my case they looked at both my academic transcript and also my matric results. Keep in mind that it depends with institutions. But in your case since you applying for a whole different course. They'll look at your matric results

Hey, it depends with institutions. What you can do is go to you academic advisor and ask them to send you your original academic transcript than from there you print it out and certify it
Hi…you can print it out and take to the police station to certify them, show them the orginal on your phone and tell them that the school emails them only…they will certify it …then scan it and send it to the university you applied at, that’s what I did and it worked.

Hey, it took Nsfas 4 months to see that I changed institutions and if you applying for a different course then you don't have to apply using your academic transcript. They will only need your grade 12 results

Hey, if they need your academic transcript than send it to them. Academic transcript isn't about you transferring to do the same course but they also need it to see your performance because they wouldn't want to take somebody who fails

@@lethabosibeko because now I'm at tut and I want to transfer and choose another cause and honestly my grade 12 results meet the exact minimum requirements of the course I want and that worries me . So even if I work harder here at tut and get good grades they will still consider my matric results?
I would advice you to obtain great results at Tut so that you stand a much greater chance to be accepted because an exact minimum requirement won't guarantee you admission but if you obtain great results at Tut than you stand a greater chance of being accepted

Hey, during that time of waiting for Nsfas. You will be already admitted at the new institution. All that is required of you is to pay for your registration fee and don't lose the slip so that you can be refunded your registration fee money

No, I didn't fill any form. Every year we have to register so I did so and my registration data was sent to Nsfas.

If it's the same course and you want to transfer for your 2nd year and not 1st than they look at your academic record

I didn't have to deregister at TUT because I didn't register beginning of year

How did you submit your application before June because they required transcripts while the exams start in June , I'm stuck do you mind helping ?
I applied after June so it was easier for me to send my June transcript
