I met Dennis back in 2016 when Ghost Bath stopped in Toronto on their Moonlover tour (Numenorean [RIP to that band] and another North Dakotan thrash metal band were the supports). I remember he was wearing a Chicago Bulls shirt at the time that he told me got in Chicago while on tour. My dad and I chatted with him for a few minutes. Seemed like a chill guy! If Dennis sees this, I have one question to ask: you still have that shirt, man? And my favourite black metal (and blackened-influenced) bands are as follows: Deafheaven Darkthrone Panopticon Dawn Ray'd Sadness Primeval Well Mysthirming Nechochwen Falls of Rauros Saor
@@forgemastermetal No problem, my dudes! It’s funny though: that live performance actually turned me off of GB until this recent album came out. Wordless vocal performances don’t really work with a live setting in my opinion (you are free to disagree with me if you want), so it was pretty cool to see them finally embrace lyrics this time around!
Great interview! One of my best friends is childhood friends with Dennis, so I’ve met him and the band a few times on stage and off stage. They are the most down to earth guys I’ve ever met, you would never guess they make the style of music they make if you met them on the street. I hope they continue to get exposure like this going forward with the new album. Love you Ghost Bath!

Awesome interview/discussion! And thanks for introducing me to Ghost Bath a while back! For me, what really got me into BM are both Panopticon and Eneferens, that variety in instruments and the lovely mix between harsh and clean are magnificent. I really like how humble both you all and Dennis are. Masters of your craft, yet so humble.
@@forgemastermetal So true! Gonna toss on some Ghost Bath right now, and I am quite a fan of vaporwave, so looking forward to some of that later this afternoon!
This was a really amazing interview, job well done my dudes.
Thanks brotha!

Thanks mate! Same here. I didn’t get the promo in time to get it on our best of October.

Thanks Matt! Dennis was awesome to talk to and proof that you should just do what you want with music and believe in it to stand out.
