Thank you for this video. Ive believed for many years that the UK black metal scene goes largely unrecognised by the rest of the world, even though its rich with top quality bands, so videos like this will do us a lot of good! And thanks for mentioning us in a couple of previous videos. Really appreciate it
Winterfylleth have released some incredible albums over the years, you can rely on them to consistently impress. I've also been loving the epic sounds on At Light's Demise by Cistvaen lately
Thanks for doing this topic. The interview with Chris was great, I really like you you integrate their music pics with the topic. I definitely need to check out the new album. The interviews you've done are all so humbling, it really shows that these creative geniuses are just people, and all seem to be exceptional people too. Fen and Saor are great artists, and there's a number of others mentioned I need to dig into.
Winterfylleth are absolutely amazing and one of the first UKBM bands that reeled me into it all (The Infernal Sea being the first) If anyone's after a new band that's started in the last two years to check out then Oneiros (Their debut album comes out tomorrow!) Ofnus and Ghül are well worth looking into
Winterfylleth are superb. My favourite Uk black metal band were Akercocke although they’re not strictly black metal these days. They’ve sadly only released one album in about 15 years however.
There's a new album that was in the works At Reaper Festival 2022 they played a brand new song called "Black Hole" and there was a song crossed out on the setlist called "Kill Again?" It appears they are, or were? Working on new material, they've not been playing live as much which makes me hope they've been chipping away at it more lately
(RECOMENDATION) An Album called Petricor by a nordic band called Whorls. Hope I spelled that right. Good list got awesome taste im music Also look up Deathcrawl from Cleveland Ohio. Wow, I am so impressed. So many people were like trend setting spike leather whote facepaint cliche and throw in a Keyboard with that pipe organ sound amd do Cradle Of Dimmu Filth Borgor Posers. That raw grit heavy, super fast augmented guitar riffs, high pitch scream, themetic and cool.
Not really a fan of Winterfylleth, but glad you guys are enjoying the album! I didn’t expect an interview. The sadly broken-up Dawn Ray’d is probably one of my favourite British black metal bands, along with Andracca.
Dawn Ray'd splitting was so out of the blue, I got to see them one time at Reaper Festival 2023 after years of bad luck when it came to seeing them live They were absolutely amazing and a highlight of the weekend for me, Reaper Agency seriously know how to put on a good weekender! (as well as the gigs and alldayers they put on)

@PseuDo4 thank you for the mention! Glad you enjoyed it. Winterfylleth have been a huge inspiration for us.
Chris is a great guy, good interview!

Thanks man - that's a great album to get sucked into the microcosm of UKBM. Thanks for the rec on Oneiros - i'll keep an eye out!

They just became one of my favorite black metal bands.

@@Venombullet666 Jason Mendonca said they were working on it about 4 years ago! Last album was 2017. Hope they haven’t called time again.
Underdark is great UK post-black post-hardcore band
Never really heard them before, thanks for the rec
Amazing group.
They are seriously good, every time I've seen them live they've been great and they get better and better every single time
Ethereal Shroud is noice

Chris did a great job shining a light on the lesser appreciated but very important bands

Surprised you’re not into them!
