Metro Exodus is the 2019 release of the Metro game series. Metro Last Light was released way back in 2013 and it has been a long time waiting. Of course there is also a quest for finding toiled destructibility, as a long running tradition in the series. I am playing with advanced physics and RTX enabled. We will see what the difference it makes.

Metro Exodus is a masterpiece. I hope the devs didn't screwed over by Epic. There first dev cycle without fear of the office exploding and they get fuged by what PC store they launch on.
This whole Epic Games exclusivity will probably have a big impact on their sales, when you see all the review bombing and comment spamming, it really pissed of a majority of the playerbase.
(Also, if you ever come to north america again, maybe have a look at the Canada Aviation & Space museum. It's not very far from New York/Vermont and they have some good stuff. Sadly I never worked there)

Most of his viewers speak english, so he had to do that if he wanted people to watch for more than 2 minutes. He probably played through the game in one sitting with the russian language settings afterwards so it doesn't really matter

A long time ago (1989), I used to be Russian. So there's no language barrier until I have to read, or encounter words/expressions/slang I don't recognize. I set the voice acting to Russian, but the text (and subtitles) to English (easier to work the menus). The expressions and dialect are quality Soviet era, just like my childhood memories, down to the slang. But the translation is absolute garbage. It's not the voice acting (Sam still has an accent in English), it's the translated dialog: you miss 60-90% of the tone and subtext before you even think about cultural background (like the name Aurora alluding to a culturally significant battle cruiser from a little over 200 years ago). If you can, play with the Russian voice acting. If not, I'm sorry there's not a better translation; the source material is very introspective of the Soviet and Post-Soviet psychology/society/world-view through the lens of science fiction or alternate history (if you prefer).

I think the reason that Boris is by far my favourite UA-cam creator is because he is genuine in all of his videos. Unlike others Boris actually shows genuine engagement with fans and his video ideas are all original. His content is different from most and although sometimes I question some things, on the whole amazing channel. Want to see more of Artyom. Keep going Boris.

This game literally left me speechless with both endings

Metro Exodus was by far the most satisfying gaming experience of my life. I don't think anything will ever make me feel like that again. It was like the ultimate test of everything I've learned in the first two games.
That being said, the ending hit me like a brick wall. I didn't imagine that even if I find everything, talk to everyone and just generally explore everything I can on ranger hardcore no less, the game still ends at roughly 16 hours.
Hell, I even managed to sneak past by literally everyone except one guy I shotgunned in the face for looking at me through a window.
I think what broke the experience for me was that instead of a battle, they ended the game with the Blind Ones. I legitimately expected the game to go on for about another 2-3 hours at least, the way it did in 2033.
The pacing of the last quarter of the game is horrible and the whole thing feels rushed(I wanted to get the snowplow!!) but as long as they throw another 10-15 hours worth of DLCs at me, I won't mind.
This game is far too amazing to only have a single set of story to play through and nothing else. It's like building the world's best stadium, playing one match that gets called off halfway and then demolishing the entire thing the next day.
If it weren't for Yamantau, Novosibirsk, the bear and a few unlucky watchers, I would have carried my guns through the whole game for no reason.
