Haku doesn't have nightmares, nightmares have Haku.......
@Arsenal fc fan club & Man City supporter I'm thinking taking on all comers in legit fights and winning, even against people with military training, might have something to do with it,
I think Shamrock vs Meng, both in their primes, in a legit fight would've been a great to watch
@Arsenal fc fan club & Man City supporter Probably because he does shit like bite noses off and break handcuffs, breathing in mace like it was fresh air, etc. Shamrock was a legit badass but he was never known for having that extra gear of crazy.
Lmfaoo
@Man utd FAN CLUB The Nasty Boys beat the crap out of Shamrock and they were afraid of Ment so not Shamrock would not have decimated Meng
Freddy Krueger is afraid of Haku.
"If he chose to be, Meng would be the world champion right now and he would have no contenders. Period." 👊🏾
He's in his 60s
No one would want to go in and face him only thing they could do is ask if they can have a tutle reign😂😂😂😂
"This guy starts looking at Meng ..." You know this will end badly for the looker.
"and then he didn't have anything to look at Meng with anymore"
Totally Not Alpharius When a guy sticks his thumb *behind* your eyeball and says he’ll eat it if you don’t stop... you 🛑.
I would stare but cause awed by a badass and wanna say he is cool and a good handshake haha
😂😂😂
I could listen to Haku stories forever.
Partly because he'd probably murder me if I didn't.
I’m sick of that cup not getting full
Lol
I need that Magic Bottle! :D
I want a full book of stories of meng
Bacon seriously, you know someone’s a badass not when they say they are, but when everyone else and their mother tells stories about what a badass he is.
Me too. I'm sure it'd be similar to Mickey Rourke's "The Wrestler"...but with martial arts moves in bars!
@@johnnyestrada6993 let's not forget the wrestlers recalling the incidence actually remember where it happened lol. That is how memorable it is.
The book you're looking for is 'The Necronomicon'.
It has to be an audio book lol
"Buddy, I saw that and that's all I ever needed to see"
it's so weird that i was scanning the comments while listening and right when i saw your comment, arn starting saying it.
I got his autograph in 1988 seemed like nice just dont mess with him
Death had a near Meng experience once.
If you ever see Meng fighting in the forest with a grizzly bear.... HELP THE BEAR...
:-))))))))))))))))
Help, Meng. why take a chance.
Cause that bitch gone need it 😂
No way, I'm not being an angry Meng's next target.
Mystikal right ??
The Tongan Death Grip is real! 🤣
Stevie Ray concurs.
I used it once. It made a guy bleed his own blood...
It's actually quite easy to choke someone out with one hand. The technique I used on a guy once was where you slip your thumb into the hollow area of the throat, while using the fingers to grasp the carotid arteries and attempting to make a fist once you do so. The thumb blocks their airway, and the grasp helps you keep your grip. It's a "very" effective technique, but it will kill someone if you're not careful. Needless to say the guy I used it on turned as blue as a Smurf's nut sack before passing out. Haku was trained in Japan, and those Samoan boys are known to be really tough. He's 100% legit.
Andre feared Meng. Let that sink in
Yes. Harley Race too. Harley Race also feared Meng/Haku but from my understanding they were good friends.
@@dalegribble1560 ya, who the fuck didn't fear him. I'm trained. Good fighter. I'd fight pretty much fight about anyone. But a guy like that, fuck that.
@@dqreps As Rikishi put it, 'Brock is tough, but Meng is crazy tough.'
@@exe2517 Rikishi said it exactly perfect. I remember I think I heard Jim Cornette say similar. Cause you make it a rules based, athletic competition, Brock'll stretch you, but you make it a fight and take away rules, try to grapple Meng, put him in a hold, he'll bite and gauge and claw, whatever he needs to and he'll kill you.
Andre respected Meng. Big difference. The stories are amazing indeed but Andre manhandled cars, with people in every seat. Meng may very well be the monster everyone says he is but there’s a difference between bar fight stories with drunk average people and manhandling guys like Black Jack Mulligan and Big John Studd
If ARN says it legit , I take it as gospel
Can you imagine Haku,Rick Rude,Dick Slater,Mr Wonderful,Black Jack,Harley Race.Gee how tough were these men.Wow
" if he wanted to he could be world champion and hed have no contenders" Best Haku comment in history
You forgot "right now". That speaks volumes about Haku's toughness that Arn Anderson thinks that a 60 plus year old Haku could be world champion if he chose to be.
@@chaoticdays in an unscripted fight, he would double tongan deathgrip both raw and smackdown champions without much effort
This is a second wrestler that I've heard tell the story about Meng doing the Tongan death grip on someone and a bar so I know this is true because Arn Anderson and Stevie Ray would have no reason to lie
Bobby Heenan also said he saw Haku use it. In that case, Haku squeezed hard enough to break the front row of the other guy's bottom row of teeth.
Also Rick Steiner one of the other legitimate toughest guys in the business confirmed him using it and being legit in a fight as well. Rick Steiner says you don't mess with Haku and he procedes to say how the tongan death grip move in the throat is legit and how between that and his kicks he took out a group of marines. Rick Steiner witnessed this. And you know Rick Steiner is super tough and legitimate and doesn't bullshit.
*HAKU 2020*
And from what I've heard meng was also one of the nicest guys you could want to meet, just didnt like to be messed with
or looked at.
I always liked Meng and Arn Anderson. Great 80s memories.
Haku was an extra as a victim in Spielberg's 'Jaws', when the shark found out, it quit.
They made 'Bruce' the mechanical shark, Bruce learned Haku was on set, and stopped working.
True Story
Honestly when Andre The Giant was quoted to say he was afraid of Meng, that pretty much tells you how much of a Tough Guy Meng is, like seriously and I am not the first to say this, why anyone would to pick a fight with Meng?
Meng is the baddest of the bad and the most humble and decent human being...........
Haha love it. Tonga Fifita “Meng” is my uncle. But keep in mind, the world only knew about him and Barbarian. In real life they are but only two Tongan OG’s. Back in the islands they are a dime a dozen cause all the OG’s are like that. Love you Unc! Tongan pride 🇹🇴💯👊🏾
I'm on Oahu and I know about them! I work with them. I call them genetic freaks of nature with all good intent!
I mean, I understand your uncle could have had a good run in Sumo wrestling if not for the politics.
Let's consider first, also, that John 'Earthquake' Tenta retired from Sumo, in spite of being a diamond in the rough, because of its harsh lifestyle.
@@exe2517 Chad and Fiamalu didn't have a problem with it. It fact Konishiki is still a huge star in Japan with his band. He travels there many times a year from his home in Māili Oahu.
need more Tongan wrestlers.,
Refreshing to hear something from somebody who was there.
Most of the Haku/Meng stories seem to start with "Well I wasn't there at the time but what I heard was..."
Grew up watching you wrestle. Loved your performing. True professional. God bless.
We met him at the airport. He was a nice guy and we took a pic with him. My friend worked with him in a Toyota dealership in Tampa Florida. He had no idea he was a wrestler.
the Legend of Haku continues...
I never ever EVER get sick of hearing Haku stories.
In that business when your peer's say you're badass believe them.
I really want to know what makes Haku a magnet for “you know, that guy’s a solid 300 pounds, and the average weight of that whole table is 260...I bet I could whip him”
That's what too much alcohol does to somebody
Lot of dickheads have those thoughts in bars, usually directed toward Security, usually with similar, if not as excessively brutal results
@Arsenal fc fan club & Man City supporter
Drunken wankers come in all shapes and sizes
@Arsenal fc fan club & Man City supporter ten years as a bouncer tells me belligerent drunks come in all shapes and sizes
@Arsenal fc fan club & Man City supporter BTW how are you an Arsenal and a Man City fan?
Not trying to be a prick, just curious
Legit, one of the nicest guys in any locker room. Could be brutal, stiff but chose to respect his ring (partner) opponant. He took it solid, straight up.
But....
He did not tolerate disrespecting the business by insiders or especially outsiders.
Legit there was only one wrestler Andre feared, Meng. And no one who knows the guy has ever said Haku ain't legit brutally tough.
Add Harley Race to that list.
The guy applies a one-handed frontal choke and knocks the guy out in 3 seconds. Haku's hand-grip strength must be unreal. Another story has him taking verbal abuse after asking nicely about language around a lady and just doing a big boot to the solar plexus of a guy, sending him flying across the room and knocking him out. Haku's fights last like 3 seconds.
There's a video of Haku doing a shoot on Hannibal's network and he has some of the largest hands I've seen. It was unreal
I heard another bar-fight story where he pulled out some guy's bottom front teeth (broke them off at the gumline, really) with two fingers.
Arn also refers to Haku as the Human Veg-o-matic.
Chuck Norris has nightmares of haku
It’s all about the journey when it comes to Haku stories, because we all know how it ends.
Wow what a story
When Arn and Road Warrior Animal both say you're a Badass...... You're a Badass !!!
lol Meng Tongan Deathgripped that cowboy😆😄😅😂🤣
Four horsemen for life
The boogieman checks under his bed for Haku
Haku so bad ass Chuck norris tells haku jokes like we tell Norris jokes
I feel like everyone in the wrestling roster was at the bar with Meng lol
After hearing this; now I KNOW he would beat Goldberg in a real fight. No question.
Goldberg was more of an athlete than a fighter. I bunch of guys could have beat him. Being athletic doesn't necessarily make you a great fighter
Goldberg has admitted he would get killed by Meng
Meng is all the way for real with it !!!!!
Haku was a legit tough guy!!!
xoxo The Clarences
I wanna come back as Haku in the next life.
If I ever choose which wrestler to pick as my backup, it would be Meng.
There's a difference between sport (competition) and being "all-in" (no rules), where men like Jack Dempsey said that he avoided street fights as much as possible because anything could happen (ie, hitting your head on the curb) and potentially die. I'd say a guy who was "all-in", willing to win at any and all costs, whether that be choking you or gouging your eyes or even grabbing your balls and trying to rip them off, will be a threat to anyone regardless of pedigree, especially if that person was drinking or stoned or against the wall with nowhere to go. A 300+ pound guy who was tough as nails, incredibly strong, and absolutely ruthless about fighting for keeps... Is certainly not someone you'd want to try yourself against. I don't care who you are. Even if you won, at what cost?
Jesus bless you all and Happy New Year
It doesn't matter if you are the champion in boxing karate or wrestling. In a street fight there are no rules and it's unpredictable. But the one constant is usually the most vicious wins
@@Opheggie54 street fight anybody is vulnerable anybody trained or not
@@illkid86 true but some are less vulnerable than others
Jack Dempsey would avoid it because he hits much harder than the average man & would not risk his career for some drunk bum. I'd say most guy's who fight for a living are pretty " All In ". Someone with a legit pedigree will be even more dangerous when there's no rules.
Jack Dempsey didn't avoid street fights 😂 please don't make up lies, the guy was fighting older men as a teen just for money in streets and bars, he also trained in some grappling and there's a famous story of him knocking out two muggers when in his 70's.
6'5 270, easy prey for Meng.
Lesson learned quit bullying unless you want to face the consequences.
"If he chose to be, Meng would be the world champion right now and he would have no contenders. Period."
But he wouldn't get paid.
But this also brings up the question about why didn't Haku choose to compete in ONE UFC, and sweep it? In WCW/WWE, he was never going to rise above low-mid card, so why not just sweep MMA once?
Haku is the real world champion
No,that's Martyn Ford
Monsters check under their beds for Meng
Is that cup not getting full?
this is the proof of that old line. dont start shit with people. one day your gonna run into someone thats alot tougher than you. and its not gonna end well. if HAKU ever wanted a title. regardless of title or company. he could walk in and just look at the dude with the title he wants. and the guy will gladly give it up. and nobody on the planet. past, present or future could take it off of him in any style fight. and after having met him and barbarian. they are 2 of the nicest guys ive ever met. and seeing how big they are in real life and hearing these stories. i dont know how some people are that stupid that they pick a fight with either of them
Damn meng
Afterwards, Nick Bockwinkel explained in great detail all the muscles, ligaments and arteries affected by the choke and the physiological reasons for subsequent unconsciousness as well as the psychological deficiencies which precipitate cretinous humanoids challenging Meng.
I am sure Nick pointed out that the subhuman cattleman's obdurate recalcitrance resulted in his goozling.
@@testodude Nick Botchwinkel tanked the AWA for not putting Hogan over .
If Mr. Anderson said it you know its true....
Conrad looks like Renee Goulet im that first movie poster
Why in the world would you fuck with Haku?
Chuck Norris fears haku
I love these kayfabe Haku stories
It became personal with meng
I've listened to Meng/Haku talking and he seems to be one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. That being said, there's no way IN HELL I'd fight him. There ain't no shame in running. Lol. The fight i would love to see would be Don Frye and Meng both in their prime. Or Ken Shamrock or Mark Coleman vs Meng in their prime.
And to think, WCW fed this guy to Goldberg without really an all out brawl, but for nWo nostalgia. Damn, wasted match......
Haku stories are the fuking best.
Haku has that death grip..do not let Haku get a hold of you... it’s smarter to run lol
Moral of this story: Don't f*ck with the island boys
Good thing I’m not as tough as Ming was I’d just go around smacking people around all the time
is he saying raw bone ?
Yeah, it means big boned
Stevie ray told the same story any person with common sense should know not to fuck with the Pacific island guys they are strong and tough and have strong broad physical structures I've played football with some Pacific island boys let me tell you they make the incredible hulk or bane look weak
Why poke the bear? An absolute death wish.
Because after 10 or 12 beers you start to think that maybe you could take the bear and you're pretty sure he's looking at you funny like he wants to start shit.
@@tmage23 stupid is as stupid does.
Curious if Arn was on steroids at all . I never really cared tbh , the biz was better when you could do that at will .
Unless he says otherwise I'm thinking that was natural
So you're drunk, in a bar, what lunacy compels you to pick the wall of muscle, even drunks aren't usually THAT stupid
I would counter with what lunacy compels one to assault someone in a bar for looking at you, and muttering something under their breath?
I've heard other stories where guys got up in his face and they had it coming under those circumstances. But some drunk, sitting down, muttering under his breath... Should have left him be IMO.
@@PulverizerA personally I stay out of bars these days, but I'd say looking at a guy like Meng and muttering under your breath is a special kind of stupid all on its own
Big guys who think they are tough! Get them drunk they think they can fight Superman
@@Opheggie54 little guys drunk in a bar think they ARE Superman
@@ComicBookGuy420 you got that right! Size Doesn't Matter it's when you think your tough.
If Andre the giant was scared of him then you know that Meng is the real deal
The world is in trouble, first Chuck Norris now Haku!
Meng only toy in game of life
Meng is my idol
The cowboy f**ked around and found out
The reason I think a lot of people fokd with meng is due to racism. Society today is messed up so let alone back in the 80s the racism and prejudice he would receive. Thank god meng was so tough and he fokd up those who insulted him
I think i can beat haku. Don't tell him I said that. Please....
If Meng can choke a random drunk guy sitting down at the bar he can definitely be ufc champion
Alcohol is a helluva drug...what would posess a man to go up to meng and think "oh yeah I can beat Mike Tyson on Knock Out [the game] I can take this guy on
You know how you can tell these ming stories are true? So many different wrestlers all asked at different times tell the same stories. These fucking samoans are not to be fucked with.
"Meng" or "Haku" is supposed to be a bad ass through stories we hear from other wrestlers. I'm with Dr. David Schultz, "So what if King Haku ripped an ear off! It ain't that hard. Just grab that ear and rip it off!" There is no footage of Meng or Haku beating people's asses. I'm sure Meng is/was a tough dude, but brother, there is ALWAYS someone out there that can beat your ass to death!
Arn, with his Southern accent, and obviously being white, could have talked the redneck out of stirring anything up. He didn't.
Gators don’t sweat
Some guys want to be the “ local bad ass “ and I guess just trying impress a lady friend or something. Maybe that’s why they try stuff with pro athletes ?
Racism Arn thats what it was lol
I'd like to see Andre the Giant in a real fight with this guy Andre would probably kill him lol
Andre has been quoted as saying he only fearing 2 men, Harley Race and Meng.
(May god rest his soul and all due respect to andre) but andre literally was scared to fight Bad News Brown after he talked shit to him before.
@@layiahali5265 Andre literally went to the toilet on Bad News Brown if you haven't heard that story by now during a match.
@@mmafan8407 I heard the story, lol
I'm surprised nothing else happened after that
It wouldve been interesting especially a prime andre but he died 30 year ago.
Haku is a tough guy, but beating up big mouths with liquid courage who can't fight, is vastly different from fighting a world class fighter. A prime Haku would get murdered by a N'gannou, Bones Jones, Tyson etc. The whole in a " Street Fight " nonsense is laughable, if you don't think a pro fighter can fight outside the ring / cage then you're just stupid. Pro Wrestlers are tough guys & great athletes, but they start to believe their own BS after awhile.
Brock Lesnar is a pro wrestler who went on to win the UFC title so your logic is laughable at best. And Brock Lesnar isn't even mentioned in the upper echelons of toughness in the pro wrestling world. Meng would have massacred the entire UFC roster.
@@chaoticdays Are you stupid?? Brock is World class athlete & D1 NCAA champion. Brock would murder any other exaggerated pro wrestling tough guy’s. Anyone with a brain would put Brock at the top. Pro wrestler’s fight Cletus at the end of the bar, not world champions. So your logic is laughable. Back to your action figures.
Tyson at all those guys you mentioned how to they are. I like to see them handle a blow from Haku and let's see who the real tough guy. The one story where a guy who was mouthing off had his bottom of his teeth was shattered due to his choke hold
@@CANADIANSLOTSROLLER Yeah so? a drunk in a bar who couldn’t fight. I’m very confident Tyson has been hit by men who can punch a thousand times harder than Haku, genius.
@@Provos7777 also he roughed wrestlers who weren't drunk and were not performing safely, he kicked the crap out of them and had to be restrained. Tyson it's not tough nor are the rest. If you are willing to risk your life in full rage and kill someone you think you will beat him. Lol. Those guys would have thrown in the towel. They couldn't handle a brutal fight if it meant there life was at stake.
I think that Brock would take Meng.
Prime Meng would pull out Brock's intestines and cure him of diverticulitis
Brock would be dead in a real fight
Lot of wrestler picks Meng out of Brock
