Nuc boxes work great as honey supers because the bees are confined into a tighter space and fill the frames faster. Normally swarming would be a major concern, but The Keeper's Hive provides easy access to the 8 frame brood chamber so you can make splits or perform the Demaree method more easily than ever before.

Absolutely. A flow hive super fits on top of the two queen Keeper. You can put flow frames in a modified nuc box to work on the one queen Keeper. There are features of the Keepers Hive that makes the bees work the flow frames better. George

Could you explain the function and the order of the different boxes? How do I properly set up the single queen hive? Do you keep adding honey supers without harvesting or do you harvest several times a year? What's in the spacer box, empty combs? It would be great if you could explain this in detail for a beginner. When do you put new boxes on top of the hive and when do you remove boxes? I will definitely order four single queen hives. I am totally convinced of your product. Many thanks to you and your team. Robert, Great to hear! There will be multiple hive bundle deals as part of the crowd funding/pre-orders next month. We also plan to set up premium customer support for Keeper Hive buyers. In brief, there is a 8 frame brood box, a medium nuc spacer box (which has 5 medium frames which is useful when performing swarm prevention using the demaree) and a deep nuc exchange box where brood frames go when performing the demaree. Everything above that is honey supers. We have made several UA-cam videos about different aspects of hive management which maybe helpful. George

Another question, I hope you also send the Queen hives to Europe, especially to Germany. In Germany, we have dozens of types of hive boxes, but nothing comparable to your Queen hive. Best regards, Robert
If I wanted to use only deep frames for simplifying my equipment, could you make the spacer box a deep along with your honey supers as well or is there a purpose in using a medium for the spacer box?
Yes, you can make the spacer box a deep. I use mediums for honey and deeo for brood. Also, need to be little careful with the first demaree to not have chill brood. But, it probably will be just fine to use all deep nuc boxes above the queen excluder. George

They were beauties for sure! I cut them out. I then demareed and move the exchange box up a bit to further decongest the brood box. I have enough bees but they would of been perfect to make some splits. Or could of taken the queen out and left 2 swarm cells and let them requeen themselves. Lots of options. George

The exchange box is the box to put frames you move out of the brood chamber with the demaree swarm prevention.
