Awesome. We will be giving everyone an up date soon on our crowd funding and preorders. In the mean time, we will be sharing a new video soon and more to come as spring arrives. George
I am so looking forward of you making videos on the 2 queen hive U are doing the 1 queen hive I just need to see the videos of you working these hives. I think u folks have a good set up and I think u will sell a lot, the videos with you working the hives will show all of us how you manage them ,and it /they will sell your product. Thanks for the video and hope u all have a Blessed week and Merry Christmas to you and your families.
Thank you so much! We have to wait for March in SE Pennsylvania to start working the hives and making more management videos. Yes, a two queen video will be one that we do early in the season. Merry Christmas back to you. George
As a rookie beekeeper my big concern would be with locating the queen so I don’t transfer her up when doing the Demaree. I’m not so good at locating her if she isn’t marked.
One option would be to shake or brush the bees of each brood frame before transferring the frame above the queen excluder. The nurse bees will travel through the queen excluder to take care of the brood leaving the queen in the brood box, We should include this detail in the video. Thanks.
Did you utilize the small bit of extra space in the 10 frame box that was reduced to 8 frames for hive tool storage or is there just too little room to make something like that really work?
The extra space is only 1 3/4 inch wide. We have experimented with many ideas on what to put into this space (feeder, storage, hive electronics). So far, it remains as just empty space. There is room under the hinged roof above the observation panel for you hive records, marking pen , queen cage and hive tool. George
We are not selling the plans for manufacturing. Feel free to preorder one during our crowd funding to see all the components. You will need a moderate amount of woodworking skill to build it. The cuts need to be pretty precise for the hive to function optimally. Trust me, I have made many early on that were not quite right. Like a 1/16 of an inch matters. The design of the hive also has a patent which just means you cant manufacture and sell it.
Janice. Hive inspections and hive maintenance requires getting into the brood nest. The Keepers Hive allows you to do that while sitting on a stool and not lifting any boxes. I like it! Bee sure to watch all of our videos at www.thekeepershive.com George
Talked to yall at the Bee Expo. Looking forward to pre-ordering this hive!

We very much enjoyed chatting with Fred. We will see him at the upcoming NAHBE.
Too dang heavy is the problem! I love your theory to help with swarming and more bees, more honey and less weight.
