4:40 having your mouse DPI as high as you possibly can manage, up around 3000 dpi or so, will essentially just prevent RSI from ever happening. you want your DPI so high that you can move your mouse completely across the screen WITHOUT moving your wrist at all. you will be moving your mouse using only your thumb and pinky finger and your wrist will literally never bend in any direction. it takes a bit of training to get used to a super high DPI, but your wrists will thank you when you are 40 and you can still feel your fingers. also, you want a mouse with a thumb clutch button that drops the DPI down to around 400 while you hold the button down. this will make it so you can still do some really fine clicking if you need to without ever missing
This is so helpful! It makes sense why I've always had to increase my cursor speeds on laptops, my wrists would hurt on default. I'm gonna pin this for others :)
Thanks for sharing. I am retro fitting a modern PC and mechanical keyboard into a vintage 8 bit computer case. I have ordered this mouse as its looks are complimentary. I also used to have a pet rat called Minty. He was intelligent and could untie knots with his teeth.
I like the 80s-90s Office Space aesthetic applied in a different way with this buuuut I like vertical mice so I probably wouldn’t use this. When is there going to be a big mice hobby community like there is for keyboards??
@@yourcoolunclemarisa The funny thing is this keyboard will not just come with the paddles from The Nes version it will also come with a joystick that will connect to the paddles but I don't know if you will be able to use the joystick as a mouse.
Thank you for the review! Especially since i would have never considered it, i think the visible design looks really bad. The only redeeming gimmick it could have had in my eyes, would have been keyboard switches. Glad you got that cleared up! Guess i have to wait for the second re-release of the MX518 - the never again reached pinnacle of mouse design, but that's just my opinion ofc.
Haha, we have exact opposite tastes in mouse design - the mx518 looks horrid to me. I'm glad there's a mouse for everyone! And I do hope someone takes inspiration from this lofree to make an actual keyboard mouse.
Don't take your keyboard out for dinner, they will spend all your money. . . . . . . Then leave you! . . . . . . . . THAT KEYBOARD SAID IT LOVED ME!!!!
@@yourcoolunclemarisa Must have been! Side note, they look like a really cool company, I love the caps and palm replacements they do for this mouse and some of there keyboards look great. Defiantly have to pick some of there stuff up. Thanks for the heads up.
That an interesting mouse you got there. Another mouse I’ve been wondering if I should get, is that 8bitdo NES inspired one - but it looks so uncomfortable!
The keyboard looks so good, the mouse looks hastily put together. I wish they'd done more with it honestly. Even the two large programmable buttons that come with the keyboard look more interesting 😭
So, I’m comparing this to an elite gaming mouse by Red dragon. The red dragon gaming mouse, its dpi increase is pretty severe from the lowest setting to the second and third. I feel like I had to lower mouse sensitivity to get it to act right, and it also felt sorta floaty despite being low latency. So far out the box, I feel like this little guy is pretty responsive for me, as I cycle through the different DPI settings For gaming, specifically stuff where I’m using the 1-12 keypad on the side I’ll be using that with my laptop For other games, like shooters, I think this will suffice for my home keyboard setup. I wish there was more DPI settings I could access analog (I’ll have to look at how to customize this like you mentioned) But the button that controls it, it only goes one way looping through the settings 800-4000 It would have been nice had they had a switch that went back and forth.
I love this mouse. I got it to go with my new keyboard The m87 pro by XVX They match perfectly. The grey and white matches almost perfectly I think the mouse is just a little lighter But anyways, I’m super happy with this
"They're not keyboard switches" Oh... Aww... It's just aesthetic then I guess, oh well... Would be nice to actually see a mouse with keyboard switches though, not that I'd get all that much out of it myself, moreso for the: "Just cuz it can be done" factor lol
i love the look of this mouse, i was looking at it for a while on aliexpress and was really considering to grab one, but now that i know it's on the small side i will sadly have to pass, sad face.
That's the ugliest mouse I've ever seen, I'm in love! You might be able to remap the side buttons (on windows) with an app called X-Mouse Button Control.

Proper form would be better than that. You should be using your whole arm to move your mouse not your wrist

Just discovered your channel while trying to find the perfect retro mouse. Thanks for giving this one a fair shakedown and sharing it with us!

For real - I want a gaudy trackball mouse
The Block Retro Grey version of this mouse is perfect to combine with the upcoming 8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard C64 Edition.
Oh my gosh, that looks so nice!! I'm still sad I missed the Command65 group buy. Hoping for another run.

I tend to be a trackball person, so I've had my eye on Ploopy Adept. You can use a pool ball as a replacement, which is properly silly
I really want to build a ploopy!

There's probably a simple programm or just config on your os

I don't care about the political climate, Speedy Gonzales is my favorite mouse!
Had a plush of him as a kid. I don't think he had great PC connectivity.
"this mouse is aesthetic" = "this pizza is flavor"
It's a useful word don't waste it.
Only one use of the word is left in the world, it's true. Better not waste it, it'd ruin the aesthetic-ah crap.
