After all the rain, hail and tornado's yesterday and last night. I'll be running black light set up tonight to hunt for queens. East Tn. here. Looking like it will be a nuptial night for sure.
Nice! What size THA hearths are you moving them into? I figure the Mini Hearths. Are you going to film and post any videos of your colonies? I may have asked you this already. lol
@@Bradimus1981 The one that moved the fastest is in an inception chamber. 3" from THA. this is 24 hours after they were added. they moved in less that 1 hour. ua-cam.com/video/xYvNcr-vmGk/v-deo.html
Yeah, I am giving Mack a difficult time right now with my current order. For a while he was more excited about the order than I was. I might be showing off a brand new product he will be offering. We shall see.
❤❤❤ Love the updates! I just posted my first Ant Video if you have any interest in checking out! Next video will be a Pogonomyrmex Occidentalis w/ Fallen Fortress Unboxing. Looking up to you!
im trying to decide if my pogo occidentallis are ready to move from a mini hearth into a fallen fortress. I've already had to clean the glass once and they love to stick sand and seeds against it to block the light or cover up the moisture. Will be nice to get them into a horizontal nest. Just not sure if they are big enough for it yet
This is my opinion, but I think many will share it. In regards to most Pogo. species, as long as their growth is steady and they have a decent amount of workers, you will most likely be just fine moving them to the THA Fallen Fortress. Pretty soon I will be moving my new Pogo. rugosus into a THA Fallen Fortress. Is your colony at about the same size? God! They are messy ants. lol I am just very glad that they are terrible climbers.

Very cool. I wish you the best of luck and be safe out there too. Let me know if you get anything cool.
THA is some nice gear. My messor queens will be moving into their hearths this week.
