unexpectedly only 12 views and one comment altho the series was surprisingly intense (at least for a VFT fan like me) but i could have never expected cross tooth to win neither did i expect it to act that strange with the blood
I couldn’t believe it either! And I thought the blood would’ve helped it grow seeing as drosera seem to be fine with the blood… really wasn’t expecting it to stop the plants from growing 😳

I’ve been supporting cross tooth since the beginning, and although seemingly a bragger, he is actually put at a disadvantage due to the teeth. When he got the quick catches initially, I thought it was just a fluke. Despite the rest, cross tooth didn’t look in any shape to take the win today, but he did! I thought it was over for him when competitors like B52, DCXL, and Dracula came, but no. He took the W

I favored Dracula. He relies on some unorthodox style and tactics and is very successful at it. Truly mysterious, my eyes see it happen but my brain fails to comprehend.

If the black dust in crosstooth really is iron, i wonder if that affected him. Maybe he can’t handle iron? This is however, a pure, uneducated guess because i know nothing of plant diets other than “sun good.” Maybe iron isn’t good for them?
Edit: nevermind you mentioned in another comment that another plant, drosera specifically handled it fine. Idk, im not a botanist.

Yes, carnivorous plants shouldn't be fertilized with high nutrition fertilizer as it will burn them, and I think the iron in the blood (maybe?) contributed to that

I'm a bit confused with what you're asking in the second comment. Are you asking what caused it to get overfed from the blood? :) High nutrition fertilizers (or soils etc) burn these plants as they are adapted to low nutrition environments so if you give them something that is too strong for them, it affects them. That's why they evolved to catch their food instead of using their roots to get their nutrition. Although people are starting to debate this more recently
