People really are getting dumber.

Meh it is okay-good, it just isn't on par with the hype the reviews generated, if people weren't misleaded to think it was the greatest game ever, the game wouldn't be seen in such a negative light nowadays

The name just makes its flaws that much more obvious.
I am not gonna try to defend the hype obviously the game seems to have been overhyped (I only got it on 2014 when everything was cooled off, so I guess I had lower expectations and enjoyed it very much) but meh guess to suceed it should have marketed as a niche game as clearly it's not a game that everyone will enjoy, but at least in what it tries to do is competent. Compared to past games, yes. But is does have an awesome battle system, but they ruined it with Lighting Returns. The music is okay but I thought past music sounded better. Other than that, the game is shit. FF15 is looking allot better, looked up into it and saw some gameplay. It looks like a awesome FF game we haven't gotten in a long time.
