Don't ignore the Travel Information Office for last minute inexpensive accommodations. Hotels would rather discount than run empty (although August is high season). I got a 300€ room near the Hauptbanhof in Munich for 80€/night for 3 nights (my info is at least 10 years old). Very substantial breakfasts are usually included in Germany. Ibis, Accor (upscale), Formula1 (downscale) are good last minute budget hotels - mostly in France, but they are in Germany too. Accor prices are comparable to Ibis on the weekends when business travel dwindles. Watch out for pickpockets, especially when you are laden down - carry a sacrificial wallet and wear a money belt or equivalent for critical documents.
Please don’t misunderstand. Hostels will probably still be your least expensive option, and are typically in town, but the Accor/Ibis/Formule1 option (they are the same chain) can serve in a pinch when the hostel is full and tourist information is closed for the day.
Was in Germany/Austria late June & early July! You are going to have an amazing time....and their infrastructure is amazing! Check into getting a Europass ticket, it should be cheaper & good for all EU countries! And most people speak English (to some degree) ENJOY!
I could NOT stop smiling through this entire video!! I am so excited for you guys!! This is amazing and I cannot wait to see what all you do in Europe!!
Aw, thanks so much Cory!! We can’t wait to see how these next few months turn out, and we’re super excited to explore Europe too! 😅😄 Always appreciate your supportive comments, and as always, we really look forward to your next video! 💚
Hope you get to Trier, Germany where your great great grandmother was born and raised. Her father owned the Pub called Zur Glocke. It's still there! Trier is the oldest city in Germany. Home of the Porta Nigra Enjoy!
I am so, so envious. You are the exception to the saying that youth is wasted on the young. Having spent a fair time travelling myself, I am certain this will be the time of your lives you will never forget and forever treasure, no matter what fortune brings you in the future.
Ah that is so nice, thank you 💚 We will definitely do our best to take in every moment and never forget how fortunate we are to do this now. Thank you so much for your support and for watching 😊💚
Enjoy! One of my relatives did this years ago after they graduated from high school. They stayed in hostels and occassionally picked up temporary employment during their travels. One job was washing boats in Monaco. They loved it!
Working in another country is a risky proposition unless you have a working Visa. You are a visitor and you have absolutely no right to work in another country! If you and your employer are caught, the employer will be fined severly and you will be on the next flight home. Not all countries are like the US where illegal immigrants are engaged everywhere you look and the authorities turn a blind eye.
@@lucforand8527I'm not American so cannot speak to US issues. In terms of working abroad, if someone applies for work legally there will probably not be any issues. This is the route my relative took. All above board.
I've been through Frankfurt airport 4 times and I've always gotten off at a terminal, I've never gotten off the plane and loaded onto a bus, though I've done that a couple time here in Bulgaria and leaving Munich; time difference is hard for the first day or so, I remember being up until 4am for about the first week here
I enjoyed your travels through the US and Canada 🇨🇦 and now I get to travel vicariously through you in Europe. Hope you enjoy your time and travel safely.
I've found eating when you land a larger meal helps with jet lag, still crash at like 7 or 8pm but it helped me survive the day on those flights where you leave mid / late day and arrive during the day
Thanks! So great to see you push into the challenge and grow. Was hoping to ride that ferris wheel in Vegas with you, maybe when you get back. This $10 is for the next amusement ride you see, surprise me. Enjoy, so happy for you two.
Wow guys never expected this announcement. This is so awesome!! In case you're wondering, this is Donna Jackson and this is my new channel. I'm very excited bc I got a new van 🎉 It's not a high roof but it's awesome. I'm building it out as we speak. Lots of changes for me znd you guys too for the next 3 months. Very excited to see all the videos. Tfs ❤
Oh hi Donna!! 😄 That is so exciting to here about your new van!! You weren’t kidding about lots of changes! We’re so happy for you! 💚 I hope everything goes smoothly with the build-out!
I don't ever make comments but I thoroughly enjoy your videos. It's a bit of too little too late advice but if you didn't take the nap and went to bed at your normal bed time, you wouldn't suffer the jet lag. Yes, it's a struggle to stay up after the long flight and settling in but it is worth it the next day. You wouldn't have woken up at 11PM with nothing much to do except hang out in the hostel. Enjoy your journey, Europe is beautiful!
Thanks! And sometimes it’s just too hard to fight the nap! We didn’t really plan anything the first day in Frankfurt since we knew this might be the case 😊
Hello there Jimmy and Natalie, just wanted to say I really enjoyed your videos and sharing them. Please have an awesome and amazing time in Europe and other places you plan on going to. You both will be in my prayers. Be safe out there. Martie W. From Florida 😊
Wow that is so great! I am so happy for you both 😀 A couple of budget tips: - Germany has a €49 train card for a month. That excludes the ICE but is still a great deal - Depending on where you guys want to go, some museums are free on certain days - Do free walking tours they are a great way to familiarize (is this a word?) yourself to a city. - Couch surfing is a great and cheap way to travel. If you would like any other recommendations of places to see/do in Europe, please let me know. I am happy to help. Have fun 🎉
Thanks for taking us along on your newest adventures. When I was young and foolish, the book for traveling was Europe on $10 a day !! At least you have Rick Steves now who will certainly help. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing this with us.
I remember doing Europe on $5 a day (yes, I'm old). I stayed in hostels with bunk beds. I don't remember any hostels having any rooms for 2. I don't remember what I ate but I'm sure it wasn't very exciting. And I didn't drink any alcohol because I couldn't afford it.
Congrats to you both! As a Vegas resident it was fun seeing you explore our city even if for only one day. I even recognized the Rally's you passed by on the corner of Desert Inn and Boulder Hwy at 4:05. I pass by it when I make the long drive from North Las Vegas to the Wetlands or Lake Las Vegas (I recommend both). Hopefully when you come back you can explore a bit more before you leave the valley. Be sure to check out Mt. Charleston, the Red Rock Canyon scenic drive and you can even do a short hike to the top of Lone Mountain!
Jimmy, So excited for this next adventure. You two are our favorite two people on you tube. We follow about8 85 different channels - yours is our favorite. I'm so glad that the two of you love and care for each other. The most precious cargo you have is, no doubt NATALIE. Please keep her safe. We wish for both of you a wonderful experience.
Visit Königssee in the region Berchtesgaden from there you can go easy to Salzburg in Austria. From Austria you can Go by train to slowenia, croatia and with a ferry to italy.
We enjoyed your video! We love you took us along from arriving in Las Vegas to the hostel in Germany. 🇩🇪 We're so happy you get to experience these new adventures with each other. Stay safe!! ❤️😊🐢
Thanks guys! 😄 It was very fun to film that whole process! It was so weird and bizarre feeling ending the video IN Germany this time 😄 Thank you guys for watching!
I have been to Germany, it’s a bit different, the food is great, and we loved the German beer, hope you get to see a castle or two, have a wonderful time , stay safe and healthy, 👍🤗
Just found your channel, you guys are adorable together. Love traveling Europe, looking forward to following along as you guys explore and learn your way. Have an amazing trip!
Welcome to Europe! Have fun! You have a ton of subscribers, I'm sure, who live here and they're ready to help with tips or whatever if you need it, including yours truly.
We booked in the red light district in Zurich. Was very quiet, you did not see a lot of people when we went out. One restaurant we choose must have been the meeting place as people came in and 90% went out the back door. Just different experiences you never forget. 😊 enjoy.
Welcome to Europe Natalie and Jimmy. Hope you try and get to Ireland at the end of your 3 month European adventure. Love and hugs as always from Dublin Ireland. 💚💚🍀🍀🇮🇪🇮🇪💚💚🍀🍀
Wow, going to Europe for a walkabout. Do it while you're young. Please God, watch out over Jimmy and Natalie on there new adventure and keep them safe Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
Of all the europein countries to go to Germany is number one on my list. Stay safe over there and i cant wait to see the videos you post from your adventure
One thing I've always wondered about Eurail. If I had to do an overnight trip I'd feel safer and be more comfy on a train than a sketchy hostel. Obviously you'll miss the scenery and people you'd meet on the train but we all have to sleep and train food in Europe has to be better than the "cheese plate" you get on North American trains. You could splurge on nicer seats and the washrooms won't look like something in a gas station. It might mean going another 24 hours without a shower but I'm sure we've all seen (and smelled) worse. Eurail has many combinations of fare packages and what works in Poland works in Italy.
How exciting for you. I didn’t even know what a hostel looked like. Does the $100 a day include the hostel? This is going to be fun for you and us to watch!❤❤❤
It's fun to change it up and travel in Europe! We spent 2-1/2 Months in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands this spring. We did 2 cat sitting gigs which helped us stay in homes for free for 6 weeks of that trip. I'll be following your adventures!😊
I hope you guys have fun, if you make it over here to Bulgaria let while you're in Europe let me know I know some great places you guys may enjoy visiting.
That is a big surprise. I wasn't expecting Europe. I was lucky and got to go to Europe twice with the company I work for. I actually flew to Frankfort. It certainly changes the way you think about the world. The architecture is so beautiful. Austria is such a beautiful country. I look forward to watching your adventures.
We love switching things up so it’s been fun! 😄 And you’re definitely right! It just feels different here and it’s so fun to experience. We very excited to explore more 💚

Oh that’s interesting to hear about the cheap accommodations! We’ll have to look into that! And we’ll definitely be as safe as we can over here!
Please don’t misunderstand. Hostels will probably still be your least expensive option, and are typically in town, but the Accor/Ibis/Formule1 option (they are the same chain) can serve in a pinch when the hostel is full and tourist information is closed for the day.

Spent 2 years stationed at Zweibrucken. Loved every minute of it. You will too.
Thanks! So great to see you push into the challenge and grow. Was hoping to ride that ferris wheel in Vegas with you, maybe when you get back. This $10 is for the next amusement ride you see, surprise me. Enjoy, so happy for you two.
Don't want to upset your100$ challenge ... does spending this gift count? I'm thinking it will not.
😂 👍 🌍
Ah that sounds great!! We’ll make sure to put it towards something fun! (“off the books” too! Haha 😂)
Thank you so much!!! 😄
Spoken like "True Full Time Rver's". We have a Shower!! I love it.
!
Haha it is a nice luxury coming from an RV 😄
Wow guys never expected this announcement. This is so awesome!! In case you're wondering, this is Donna Jackson and this is my new channel. I flew out of Frankfurt to NY when I came back from the Army in 65.
Have a blast. Funny that the Travel Beans came to travel the USA and you guys are off to Europe. 😎
Haha the old switcharoo 😄💚

That’s so cool. I grew up not to far from Frankfort Germany. I hope you have a wonderful time. Looking forward to all your adventures
Oh so cool! 😄 We’re excited to explore more of the area!
Wow that is so great! I am so happy for you both 😀 A couple of budget tips:
- Germany has a €49 train card for a month. That excludes the ICE but is still a great deal
- Depending on where you guys want to go, some museums are free on certain days
- Do free walking tours they are a great way to familiarize (is this a word?) yourself to a city.

Oh wow that’s impressive!! 😮 It already feels hard enough doing $100/day.. I can’t imagine! 😄
Last year we stored our RV for 2 months flew into Paris and left Madrid two months later. Our budget $100 a day. We did it so can you. Have fun.
Oh that is so inspiring to hear! We’re going to try our best to stick to it - although, I won’t lie, it’s been hard! 😅
