It took me 6 months to find one because virtually EVERY dealership I spoke with lied and said they'd sell at MSRP. EVERY time I went to the dealerships, EVERY one had added "extra fees" (mark-ups) to the trucks. I finally did find a dealership that actually sold it to me for MSRP. However, when I went back to the dealership to order a Challenger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak, they took my order and I actually signed a sales order for MSRP. Three months later, the dealership called and told me that they had decided to sell the allocation to another buyer who was willing to pay $15k over MSRP. When I told them I had a signed sales order, they told me that the order was only valid if the car had been delivered to the dealership. I wasn't going to take the time or effort to fight the dealership, so I gave up. I sent an email to Kuniskis and "his" reply was that they can't tell dealerships who to sell to. Screw Dodge and screw Ram.They don't give a shit about their customers!

Don’t let the cars sit there and idle when you shoot your vids. That’s when oil pressure is the lowest and is terrible for our hemis. Most of the time hemi tick is caused be excessive idling.
I don't hear a tick. I remember way back in the 80's with a 318, which was a terrific engine. After sitting for a few days, you started it up, and it ticked for about 30 seconds, and then was normal.
I lived in St. Louis for years, now in Cali. I too thought about Napeltons after seeing your videos to avoid the high California markups, after your deal went bad I did some checking. They have 74 dealerships. So it’s just another big corporation.
If it was colder outside that ticking could be piston slap...the pistons contract more than the cylinder block and "slap" against the cylinder wall until everything is the same temp...check again after it's warmed up
Its good. Just injector noise. However I did notice the hood gap on the left is bigger than on the right. Looks like the hood needs a bit of an alignment. I know this is an issue with Dodge. I have the same on my HC. Gap is larger at the front and tappers are the rear.
I have commented under a few of your videos about Huffines CDJR in Plano TX does not and never has charged more than MSRP. Over the last 3 years. Just north of Dallas. They also have a store in Lewisville. No mark-ups from then ever. I commented this under many of your and RacerX videos. Hopefully some folks were able to get their cars at MSRP or less.
I hear everything that you are saying, ironically, though the Napleton's in Arlington Heights, IL close to where I live, had been allocated a few scatpacks and hellcats. They were still jacking up prices on all. Up around me, Napleton's has always been that example of awfully greedy dealer that we have all heard about!
It doesn't sound like Hemi to me. I had a 2016 Scat Pack that started ticking, and it was very noticeable. Everything was repaired under warranty, but it was about three weeks before I got the car back.
I don't hear either version of the Hemi tick(s). I hear normal valve-train noise. My 5.7L (also new...only 3500 miles so far) does that too. Here is the actual "Hemi tick" (caused by lifter/cam issues) example: ua-cam.com/video/ffV25iCKp8k/v-deo.html and here is the exhaust-manifold-leak tick (which is common on a lot of older engines...not just Hemis): ua-cam.com/video/3yFjGsM04m4/v-deo.html They sound similar, but if you listen closely the lifter tick has a more metallic sound (and the exhaust manifold tick will usually get much quieter as the engine warms up).

My local dealer (only one in my area) hasn't pulled ANY of this crap. Sure they try maximizing if possible but dealt fairly throughout the last few years. Not all dealers are crooks. With this dealer being the only one within 150 miles he could have tried this stuff but didn't. Dodge, Ford and GM are all tied to their franchise agreements that are proving to be poorly written.
I don't think that's the HEMI Tick. It might be the noisy fuel injectors that Dodge uses. At worst, it might be the annoying loose/broken exhaust manifold bolt issue. The truly bad HEMI Tick sounds much more random ..... like a golf ball bouncing around in the engine. I don't know what I'll buy when it's time to move on from my 2015 Challenger. But - in all likelihood - it won't be a Dodge.
If you can't hear it in the engine bay it's an exhaust leak. That's not the hemi tic. If your good on maintaining your Dodges they'll never get the tick. It happens because lazy owners neglect them and if you do you'll end up with it. Lifter problems are known to happen to Dodges but there's always a reason.

Brad, two things: 1. definitely a tick, stop driving the car. 2. The dealers will tell buyers whatever they need to hear to sell a vehicle. Call them the day after you get your car home for something and it's like crickets over the phone. It is what it is 🤷🏼♂️
You custom ordered a car, backed out of it, went back to ask if they were saving it for you, and were surprised when they sold it? Sounds like two scummy moves on your part not them
IMO your emissions/registration problems are reason for US Federal government/EPA to outlaw California's CARB. It sounds like CA is violating interstate commerce.
Brad, you rolled the dice to get a jailbreak. And lost. They were doing what they were supposed to on the replacement order and you backed out. Can't be to pissed at them tho. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. Keep up the good content!
Looking at my finances. Im glad I didnt get a Demon though. I would have found some hungry bank, and maybe somehow paid but....I know what its like with that kind of payment. Ironically, the Super Stock would have been the higher MSRP. Im not sure now...Maybe the 170 with the carbon fiber wheels might be higher MSRP but still... I do run numbers in my head, if I could swing it or not, how many tshirts I can sell, if I can live without a kidney lol But one thing I truly dont want to do is deal with the dealerships that have the cars. My guys (not the sales team, they are honest) but their boss was asking 100k as the fee to just sit at the table and do blind bidding.
Fuel injectors do that at start up My 4Runner does it for a little bit. I’ve also heard it in dual insertion (port and direct), and the ticking is much louder.
They are showing a Charger Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak on their website right now for 30,000 thousand over MSRP. Maybe not such great people after all. I live in Mo. and check St. Louis dealers pretty regular. Napleton always seemed high to me. Just sayin!!
Also, sorry…..I asked the original question before watching the full video. I normally don’t do that. I subbed to you when the Mac Haik thing broke wide open.
Btw…….small world……my younger son worked with Nate at the used car dealership that he went to. Said he was really great. There was an issue but not sure who was to blame so I’ll shut up.
@@ReddingRed hey everyone. Don’t listen to this guy. He’s clueless. If you can get a low interest rate and use the banks money and reinvest your cash in other monthly and strategic investments then you can literally have someone else pay your car off for you. I literally just deposited $104,000 into my savings account from a $50k cash partnership on a flip home in LA. Use the banks money when it’s cheap and put your money to work! I have been dealing the same bullshit on trying to get a Raptor R from my local small Ford Dealer that I bought a new Raptor from in 2019. Ordered one in 22 when the books opened and the dealerships IT guy had already placed an order so I was now number two on the list for the dealership. Low and behold the dealer got one allocation and the IT guy did not take delivery and it was sold for like 50K over. My local dealership did not contact me as the back up order guy in slot 2 to ask if I wanted it....which would have been a GTFO moment. Anyway, I am still trying to by a Raptor R and every dealership wants 15-40K over and they can shove them as 24's are coming out and I hope they loose their ass on each one. Long story short not sure what the answer is but Ford is pissing this current Raptor owner off with not being able to get a Raptor R at MSRP. I don't think these manufactures Ford, Dodge, Ram and GM realize how badly they are pissing off their repeat customers! Great content and good for you on backing out!

Sounds like two scummy moves on your part not them
I'm in my 70's and have bought new cars every couple of years through out. I have never liked Chrysler Dodge Corp.
IMO your emissions/registration problems are reason for US Federal government/EPA to outlaw California's CARB. It sounds like CA is violating interstate commerce.
No that’s just your injectors
I think it's the cam and lifter's I don't think a tick ! I have the same clip's on my trailer and they are fun !😞
There is no tick thst I can hear the hemi ticks mostly on the 5.7.
Brad, you rolled the dice to get a jailbreak. And lost. They were doing what they were supposed to on the replacement order and you backed out. Can't be to pissed at them tho. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. Keep up the good content!
Don't worry you got the warranty if not you'll get rid of you got the demon 170
Looking at my finances. Im glad I didnt get a Demon though. I would have found some hungry bank, and maybe somehow paid but....I know what its like with that kind of payment. Ironically, the Super Stock would have been the higher MSRP. Im not sure now...Maybe the 170 with the carbon fiber wheels might be higher MSRP but still...
I do run numbers in my head, if I could swing it or not, how many tshirts I can sell, if I can live without a kidney lol
But one thing I truly dont want to do is deal with the dealerships that have the cars. My guys (not the sales team, they are honest) but their boss was asking 100k as the fee to just sit at the table and do blind bidding.
Fuel injectors do that at start up
My 4Runner does it for a little bit. I’ve also heard it in dual insertion (port and direct), and the ticking is much louder.
Hahaha “hey Brad we want to make this a good experience.” After being lit up on UA-cam etc.
How do you get 96 month car loan
I don't hear a tick it sounds good to me.
Sounds dope!
lol , i got snaps by thus locks few times, ouch😪
They are showing a Charger Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak on their website right now for 30,000 thousand over MSRP. Maybe not such great people after all. I live in Mo. and check St. Louis dealers pretty regular. Napleton always seemed high to me. Just sayin!!
To charge the markup was their decision. If dodge won't allocate the product, that's on dodge. You pay or not. Your decision.
That is no hemi tick
Sounds good to me
Napleton? In the StL Missouri area?
Yes
I thought so. I live in the StL area and my son works for one of their dealerships (not the one in the video and he’s not in sales).
For everyone watching this...if you need to finance a car longer than 36 months you cannot afford the car. 96 months is insane.
@@ReddingRed hey everyone. Don’t listen to this guy. He’s clueless. If you can get a low interest rate and use the banks money and reinvest your cash in other monthly and strategic investments then you can literally have someone else pay your car off for you. I finance long terms and invest my cash and average 15-20% return not including my flip homes I will make more. I literally just deposited $104,000 into my savings account from a $50k cash partnership on a flip home in LA. Use the banks money when it’s cheap and put your money to work! Listen to this guy and you’ll be paying $700 month for 36months on a $20k piece of 💩, or listen to me and you’ll pay under $400 for 72 months and be able to invest $300 month and make an extra grand or so per year and realize the massive power of compound interest. Good credit is key to working the system and getting wealthy while not having to live like a pauper. These self righteous commenters just live in another world where they think they know how to make money.
@ocmotivator Buy a car (depreciatind asset, unlike real eastate)you can afford and dump the other money you would spend on a car payment into investments every month and you'll reach greater wealth sooner. In wealth building scheme is paying $50,400 in interest on a depreciating asset a sound idea unless you want to delay your accumulation of wealth? Your 722 speaks volumes and explains your NFCU rate. Try to insult me if it makes you feel better, but I retired at 55 and we're approaching an eight figure net worth while driving a paid for Range Rover and Bronco Wildtrak.
You don't have a hemi tick, Brad. Don't listen to these clowns
There’s a Raptor R at Mac Haik Ford in Jackson, MS. I looked at it last week. Priced at $169,000. Was for sale.
@@michaelmangialardi631 LOL....Maybe with the storms coming through it gets flooded and they only get what they paid for it from FORD on the insurance claim! ^..^
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
No Hemi Tick heard on my end!!!
Leaving your Swinger outside is corroding all the under hood aluminum parts, not a good look for such a collector car
Normal Hemi valve train!
I can hear a rattle... almost like a diesel
I'm not 100% but I hear a Tick....
Especially when you pull your camera away a little bit
Stelantis is a European company that utilizes European values. Period. They are, and Will destroy the Dodge Ram brand.
OC you idling your hemi all thru podcast is eating up your cam and lifters hemis are notoriously weak oiling at idle thats why cop cars that idle eat up their hemis turn car off it's driving me nuts
Sounds like a diesel.
Just find a used one in Nevada or Arizona i know California is high cost of living if you really want one rates are high so maybe you lucked out
Charging MSRP won't pay the rent!
It's the American dream...CAPITALISM
