"...cause I won't be thuhr wuth you." Pure Liverpool!
haha
My second favorite Harrison song. Paul’s fuzz bass really gave this song some edge.
The bass sounded cheap. There is a reason no one uses that sounds on songs. It only hurt this great song.
@@stickman1742 ur opinion but I liked it aswell
@@stickman1742 Absolutely wrong, the fuzz bass made this song everything.
Rubber Soul/Revolver = The Best period/albums.
HELP, RUBBER SOUL, and REVOLVER with the Day Tripper, Paperback Writer, and Rain singles
@@STP43FAN1 u right!!! 💯😎
I think Paul's musical abilitys helped this song immensely. His bass and the fuzz bass are really what drive most of the song. Bet this song was hard for George to get music for, it is very unusual.
Not to mention Richie having to come up with the drum parts.
Paul's vocal harmony makes the whole song. It would be quite ordinary without that
@@donaldwebb 😍
@@donaldwebb You people are disgusting and nuts. This is a great song by George Harrison with no writing help from either Paul or John. The harmonies are George, Paul and John. You Paul honks are just horrible people. Like McCartney doesn't get enough credit. The others helped Paul on his songs so much. Paul without the Beatles is basically Wings.
After hearing John's organ I went back and played the song and yep, it's there, just barely in the mix. It keeps the song moving without even realizing it's there.
Yes. It’s more audible on the stereo channel that has the organ and fuzztone
That fuzz is killer!
54 years marvelling at those harmonies, ah... *sigh*
Always thought it said ¨although youre mind´s (okay)¨. Who the hell would ever imagine stumbling onto the word ¨opaque¨ in the lyrics of a rock/pop song?
I was thinking the same thing. Just what does “opaque” mean?
@@michaelcunninghamherrera7923:
1). Impenetrable by light; neither transparent nor translucent.
2). Not reflecting light; having no luster.
In referencing her mind as opaque he´s saying that she´s stupid.
Underrated classic from rubber soul. Might be my third favorite album
I completely agree. Rubber Soul is a masterpiece and certainly in my top four or top three, and this song just features such a great arrangement, melody, chord sequence, message and the use of the fuzz bass was quite an innovation; it was a rather new instrument back in 1965 and the Beatles were some of the first to use it.
Ringo's drumming KILLS ME DEEEEAAAAD!! Those syncopations are exactly what the Beatles ' songs needed.
Mind bending, what a song could be in 1965, stupefying really. Beatles, untouchable.
George Harrison gem
Example of why Paul was more than we think. I think i love George while he sings and Paul being the everything else.
Only foolish Paul is everything fans think so. I like Paul fine, but there are many that don't even like his music. Paul did his part, but this song is a great Harrison song. The harmonies are certainly nice, but Lennon's voice really stands out during that. You're just a Paul wonk, not to be taken seriously by music fans.
@@stickman1742 You are just sad, that's all.
@@stickman1742 Also, my grandma is a music fan, way to tough shit up simpleton.
@@electricblanket1 although he said that very asshole like lol but he got a point a lot of Beatles fans just point out one person in the band as if they created everything on their own. They’ll say Paul made this song great or Johns harmonies create this or that like man can’t we just enjoy all of them, they all birth the beauty of their songs
I always loved how the bass line (non-fuzz) does not play the lick at 4:21 in triplets like before. Nice small simple change.
Always loved this once since hearing it as a kid in the late 80's
6:15 The verse they sang to wake up Lord Mayor from the bunch of giant apples.
It's amazing a 2:19 song got me through a broken 💔. I played this song for two months straight until I started feeling better!! Beatles the GOATS
🚶🚶🚶🚶🎸🎸🎸🥁
Thanks man...the bass fuzz is so amazing and incredible
I can't hear the bass! The bass is always such a disappointment on these deconstructions. Like it's in a lead box at the bottom of a lake
@@DavidSumeray_BassGod I wish all the bass players could hit the bottom of the lake with such flair. in 1965 there were only 4 track recorders, the bass of this song has a saturated buzz pedal plus the sound of the hoffner ... rock roll bitch
@@DavidSumeray_BassGod I noticed the same. Some of these deconstructions are worse than this one! I recall reading an excerpt from Geoff Emerick's ( Beatles engineer) book entitled "My Life Recording the Beatles", that they were disappointed at the quality of the bass at these sessions and in English pop records from this period in general. Emerick recalled how a traveling Motown show played in London and requested to use EMI studios to rehearse and lay down some tracks. The management and engineers were only too happy to oblige as they recognized an opportunity to find out how the Motown engineers got such a good bass sound. i recall Emerick saying that they learned that the difference was not so much in how the bass was recorded but rather how deep the grooves were cut in the master discs used for printing records. Deeper grooves allowed for more bass as the stylus was less likely to jump out of the groove. (Those of us who grew up with record players will understand this immediately!). This was the main difference between American and British records of that time period. On another note, did anybody see the capo McCartney is using on his bass in the picture above? I have never seen or heard of a bass player using a capo. Another example of how how open the Beatles were to experimentation. LOL! Great tune! Thanks for the deconstruction
In the record his bass is well defined. I've always been impressed by Paul's fuzz bass part on this but it's somehow lost in an otherwise excellent separation of instruments.
I've heard Paul's bass clearly on other separations. As a bass player I particularly appreciate hearing Paul's parts clearly.

Incredible tracks!
The vocal harmonies are superb.....and the fuzz bass is a great addition.....
That dirty, fuzzy pickup @7:29 going into the chorus... I had no idea it got so raunchy but this song has always been a jam for me. Now I feel 'justified' hearing it singled out. That bright funk is swimming in the undercurrent.
One of these days when I have an income again, I will put my money where my mouth is to properly thank you, DLD2. :)
(In the meantime, verbose and rambling comments are all i have to offer.) :)
Ringo was so creative drummer
Rubber soul. Revoler two amazing albums.they looked so good still. They did change alot with sgt. Pepper and beyond. Really the world changed after that and we had to get used to me. Ohg George did great and great harmony.
Underrated beatles song! I'm glad u made this one bro
@6:55-6:57 I don't think I'd ever noticed that little outgoing 'tag' on George's melody line--that's adorable! :) Thanks for that little ray of auditory sunshine, DLD2 :)
Love the song! Love the fuzz Bass!
I don't like the sound. Way overdone. Only hurts a great song. It is a cheap sound, that's why you never hear it on other songs.
@@stickman1742 No one agrees with you. It's what makes this song unique.
@@jacquesstrapp3219 he put his comment all over this comment section
@@Bella-nt7ec Yeah, I see that. Most people just listen to something else if they don't like what they're hearing. They don't waste much time trying to convince others not to like it. I wonder if they call him Stick Man because he has a stick up his ass?
Fantastic harmonies!!
De los temas de Harrison que mas me gustan!!
the high harmony in this song is almost transcendant
Awesome man !
Nice kick drum there !
What a sound ❤❤❤
Sensational!
(Although your mind's opaque) never knew that till this instant...
Keep it up I love it!
Thats why they r the BEST 4EVER AND EVER
In my opinion…I always thought the fuzz bass part sounds very much like a guitar through a fuzz box and just doubles the bass track.
bass no guitar
ua-cam.com/video/-3RFx_e8D3c/v-deo.html
Oh My fcking God, that bass sounds smooth as fck.
great, thanks
Probably the first time many of us ever heard a fuzz-box, much less one applied to a bass guitar.
“Satisfaction” by the Stones had just been a massive, worldwide # 1 hit just months before this came out. After “Satisfaction” became a hit fuzzboxes became a big thing.
@@robertweingartner2055:
I always got what I wanted by amp settings but some of the guys, including my best friend, had one. They had their application but too many guys used them to cover bad playing.
@@robertweingartner2055 they also use the same tambourine pattern. One of the few times the Beatles followed the Stones 😀
The snare on this song sometimes sounds like a whip with a attack
emocionante escuchar a los tres cantando juntos
Pretty good.
John's jingle jangle Rick guitar at it's best.
@Nathan Geiling And us chicks all know how we feel when John uses his strat! ;)
@Nathan Geiling I'd say Ric but either way it's not in very good tune...just shows to go ya. Don't gotta be in rock for a great result.
@Nathan Geiling OK. I never had a Ric myself, so I'll trust your ear.
fuzz bass ftw
Ticket To Ride también te pido que la deconstruyas se me olvidó jajaja
Paul's bassline is crazy! I play bass and try to learn his but think I'll have to skip this one! The fuzz bass is doable😅
Ooo nice.
Maracas and a quality tambourine
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍 what a beauty
Hearing the guitar it becomes clear that the chords on the refrain are : C7 | Gm7 G7 | Eb D7 | G7 . Very interesting.
My first album I bought.
backing vocals are essential here
Por favor What Goes On o Run For Your Life te pido que lo deconstruyas!!
I've always thought the bass (without fuzz) is the Hofner🤔
Uhhh that’s george harrison vocal
where the harmony is two part (chorus) lennon and mccartney both singing the upper part … where it’s triads lennon is the middle voice mccartney top. All three vocals are double tracked. The Stratocaster(s) are new, first used on Nowhere man.
I can't understand - there are tambourine and maraca on the first track AND there are tambourine and maraca on the fourth track. Are these different parts or are they the same tambourine and the same maraca that somehow got on two different tracks? Anybody? Thank you!
Anyone have any idea what song/songs he would have been playing in this photo (with a capo on the fifth fret...and pre-Rick paint job)?
Michelle sessions
I the Love bass 🇻🇬😎. 😎 😎 😎
FUZZ BASS ATTENTION GRABBING IT'S HIT OF PARTY..PRIOR TO USE ON THIS TRACK. I BELIEVE IT WAS ONLY USED ON JIMMY GLIMER & FIREBALLS. 63 SUGAR SHACK...THIS FUZZ EFFECT WOULD SOON BE USED IN FULLEST. BY DAVIE ALLAN & THEE ARROWS...THANK YOU. FOR POSTING..GRACIAS..
Mucho gusto
notice Paul CAPOE the long scale Ric. to match his Hofner.
thanks
please deconstructing Anna (go to him)
i will

Huh, I read on Wikipedia and other sources that they cut John's rhythm which is why he overdubbed an organ part, I guess it's in there but just quiet behind George's jangly part. Unless the source you are using has his guitar part before they cut it out?
I hear to 2 guitars
The guitar playing is a softer precursor to Taxman.
😊
¿No podrías hacer lo mismo con el Get Back (Reprise) completo? No el que dura unos cuantos segundos, sino el del bootleg de los A/B road records

keyboard sounds gated in the fuzz section, they use metronomes fo sho
no Lennon's just playing 8ths on the organ. The metronome has a name it's Ringo !
Of course , you all know that's Brother George on fuzz bass😉!!
George on bass?, which one?
@@DLD2Music DLD2, says so, on the back album cover. Beatle George.
@@jonbyrd7170 According to producer George Martin, the fuzz bass was played by Paul on a Rickenbacker 4001S.
Paul on both basses.
Where's the bass???? Nothing.
The drums sound so bad....
Horrible sounding fuzz, but on the other hand, it's exactly as it should sound. A pretty daring move... Leave it to McCartney. It's the same sound Harrison used for the Anthology 2 Version of "Hello Goodbye." Absolutely NO sustain, but unique. On a side note, I don't think the Beatles knew a thing about adjusting intonation. Nearly every song they played, the guitar suffered from poor intonation. But then again, that was half the magic. Those imperfections made the song that much more special. In contrast, everything recorded today is "tuned" to perfection, including lousy voices. And we KNOW what these songs sound like.
Another lame Beatles song which fantastic vocal arrangement.
What do you mean lame? The lyrics are really nice and the instrumentation is amazing.
@@Ms_Drake it's a mess.
