That’s a delicious looking fig. The dark interior looks awesome. Hope to get some cuttings and try my luck at rooting this one. How difficult is this one to root??
Most of these have rooted well. I set some airlayers on it in August and they were very well rooted in less than two weeks. But figs can play games with us and sometimes some cuttings can be more difficult than others for no apparent reason.
Great video. Thank you! If you could only grow 1 variety of Col De Dame, which would it be? Ive seen a lot of videos, but never tasted any. They all look amazing! I was thinking of going with the Noir, but the blanc looks amazing also. I want to start with 4 different fig varieties. CDD is one for sure. Trying to narrow it down...I’m in Zone 8. Thanks!
Honestly, I'd probably grow a tree with grafts of Col de Dame Noir, Col de Dame Blanc, Col de Dame Gris, Coll de Dama Rimada, Coll de Dama Gegantina, Coll de Dama Roja, and maybe Coll de Dama Bordissotenca and Coll de Dama Ciutat as well. I probably plan to do that some day in some large potted fig in case we retire some day and move into town. I think I'd try to have maybe five trees each grafted to 8-10 varieties. I don't think I could settle for less.
We do not have any trees for sale at this time and generally sell them out auction on figbid.com when they are available. We might have some available in March, please email us at harveyc@gmail.com at that time ton inquire. Thanks for watching.

In Vietnamese I by it very expensive my friend
And mangosteen cost about $9 per pound here in U.S. :)
Looks like you can trim this tree later this year and sell some branches to me, ha ha.
We sold cuttings from it last winter and will sell again in January! :)

Boy one of these in my greenhouse would be a nice specimen to collect. Is this a pricy cultivar?
Cuttings are not too pricey, IMO. I believe last winter we sold cuttings of this variety for $15.
