FIJI DEEPWATER FISHING

This video is about DEEPWATER FISHING IN FIJI . After studying coral and balolo spawning, I am invited on a fishing trip on the deepwater slopes (depths to 1000 m) and pinnacles (rising to 350 m) with brothers Grahame and Bruce Southwick. Fiji-born Graham is a professional fisherman who pioneered deepwater bottom fish and pelagic tuna fisheries in Fiji. I first studied Nautilus and other deepwater species in this area from 1979-85, and have returned to see the modern fisheries. Thanks to Graham and Bruce Southwick for a great afternoon fishing for deep-water snappers.
