I was about to joke about Marines going to Flo's until I read the description! New Cobras look like the scifi ships. Thank you very much for such a great footage.
Brings back memories, spent 20 years (retired in 2004) in the USMC as a UH-1N Huey Crew Chief / mechanic. I was assigned to HMLAT-303 back in 2001 as the Flight Line Division Chief and then the QA Chief when the squadron was designated as HMT-303. This is the training squadron where pilots arrive from flight school who are designated as Cobra or Huey pilots. They go through a flight syllabus before transitioning onto a HMLA (Helicopter Marine Light Attack) squadron. Front time to time we would fly formation flying up to the Santa Barbara airport and grab lunch and fly back. There was this one time the input quill on the transmission was leaking and we remained at the airport until parts and tools arrive and we fixed it on site and returned to Camp Pendleton.
Believe it or not, OV-10's were part of 303 in 1992 for about 1 year , but then HQMC decided to sundown the OV-10 program. So, for a short time, I was with HMT-303 Avi and got to cross training on UH-1N, AH-1J, and the brand spanking new AH-1W Cobras.

Glad you liked the video. I was just lucky to there at the right time.
Flo's biscuit and gravy was my staple in the 80's. No idea they were still open!!
The Viper is a beast! I watched them make regular transits over White Beach in Okinawa when I was AD. So awesome.
Boy has the cobra come a long way in its evolvement!👍🏼👍🏼
Marine Corps Helicopter Aviation!!!! Love it

Damn I must’ve missed them I’m next to the airport
Shout-out to the LAPD training ship in the background. Los Al must have been busy with the Sheriff’s. 😜
