Me! :-D Is it Orysia? Please!! She is so pretty! :-D But, I guess I'd settle for a lady with more curves too. Please read my (long) comment. You'll like the links! They are very short and fun.
I really like how you explain your thought process, like when you said that you don’t get a lot of light so she has to put her head a bit up high. It’s so simple but so genius
Irene, I've worked with a lot of professional models during my career and I have to say your sister is REALLY GOOD! She knows how to pose, takes direction very well, two things I always appreciated when working with a model.
The b roll clip in the beginning is beyond brillaint, so creative and perfect. Seriously amazing. I freakin LOVE 30s snd 40s fashion and have always wanted to do some shoots that style. You've inspired me to give it ago this winter!
Fantastic shoot. Your sister is such a model the way she changes her moves her expressions. I love the colours you use deep and saturated well done you both.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO EVER'!!!!!!...THE CLOTHES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!I LOVE LOVE VINTAGE!!!! YOU SHOULD DO MORE VIDEO LIKE THIS....YOU GIRLS ARE GREAT OF WHAT YOU GUYS DO .
Loved the last photo most. I wonder how do you find so fitting attire for your models? They look fabulous. You have such a fantastic vision. Waiting for the next BTS.
I absolutely loved this!! I am learning so much with your camara settings and how you use natural light. You really know what you’re doing. I am also learning how to direct the people... i really enjoyed this video. Thank You ☺️
Love this style I'll try it some times.. your pictures always perfect... and I like the way you always helping the models for posing everything is good about you keep the good job
I love how you give the model directions, I tend to do that with people when Im shooting, but for some reason when people try and take photos of me they don't know how to direct me /)- leaving me standing there like a deer in headlights
This was so much fun watching you use your sister as a model ( she's gorgeous ) btw- I could tell you & her could almost read each others thoughts. She was like a seasoned / talented model. The pics are beautiful. 2 very talented Sisters....
I saw these photo on instagram and was so impressed with the vintage look you got after editing. Was it in lightroom or photoshop. Csn u do a vid on how u edited it?
I appreciate your using a higher level of audio. I can always turn it down, but I can't turn up what isn't there. I've quit watching many videos I really wanted to watch because I couldn't hear anything . Thank you.
Great BTS again! Thanks for that. I really like the landscape image that you took - very different but beautiful! PS: I'm really jealous of you having snow over there
Hi Irene, why you use ISO 160 in your camera and not ISO 100? Do you believe this value is the best for the 5D MKIII? And do you get chromatic aberration with this aperture using this lens? How program do you use to fix this? Tks. Nice video.
That first outfit reminds me so much of one I saw on Dita Von Teese's clothes rack when we were doing a lot of shoots together. I thought it was a classy look then and it still is.
when you are done , you said its to dark, but with a led light you could take beautiful photos with the christmas lights on the background will look beautiful
I've just visited your 500pix channel. Your style is so special and artistic! Pure beauty! I'm not into portrait photography actually but your style really is fascinating me.
Hey Irene! Last week I discovered your channel and it already helped me a lot. But still, I am very curious how to get such a sharp image with Aperture 1.2? I tried to shoot with my Nikon D800 + 24-70 mm 2.8, but the final image is blurred. What is the secret?
I'm pretty sure she uses either high-pass sharpening or other sharpening method in post, but your in-camera image needs to be pretty sharp to begin with. One of the eyes being slightly out of focus can potentially be fixed in post.
Great series. Love the concept and pics. Nice to provide some insight on how you made the shots and the thought process behind it all. Turned out great!.. as usual. I love that many of your concepts do not have to be 100% period correct, but it doesn't really matter as it still looks the part and the final image(s) look great the way you directed it. With so many shots per session, do you have a quick way to cull through the mass of photos and start to work on the good ones you really like? What would be maybe the top 2 or 3 things you quickly check to see if it's a keeper or not? For me, I think if the lighting dynamic strikes me first when i first see it, I think there's usually a lot of potential there to start just from a visual grab pov. I was going to say composition next, but that can be adjusted a bit by cropping. Then, definitely check the subject's eyes are in focus. It really hurts when what seems like the perfect shot with the pose and expression is made and when you check the focus on the eyes and/or face, it's off?! Probably should scrap that one, but then again if the image still has something really inviting about it, it may be worth keeping anyways.. perfect focus is not everything.. well, depends on the work it's for, but maybe at least keep those 9/10 shots for yourself. Keep up the great work. Looks like you've been and continue to go in the right direction with your photography.
The pictures all came out beautiful! Maybe you could have made one with the model walking away and just have the umbrella showing from the front or had one with the model looking up smiling and touching her hat in happiness cause it’s about to rain lol
Next week : Boudoir Photoshoot BTS

Even with a park that came out of a Lemony Snicket's novel, you managed to take stunning photos. Many congratulations.

Question - is there a reason why you didn't want to up your ISO? Thanks!
Love this intro Irene!!!
Very very nice session!
canon colors are just Awesome
Some pretty shots in there - you really have a flare for that second 1/4 of the last century look...
Love your edit!!
when you are done , you said its to dark, but with a led light you could take beautiful photos with the christmas lights on the background will look beautiful
Amazing work.
These are great images, I am just wondering how soft / out of focus her face is due to the 1.2 aperture. Overall great images.
