    Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, the last option came up to me, I had 4 folders with fonts in my data/fonts/files folder that prevented the creation of a backup copy, and I tried all the other options without results. and it was only thanks to your video that I found the problem! I don't like to leave comments, but it's worth it.

    Just tick in TWRP back up - system or system image ( one of them & not both ) & make backup. Hope fully problem will be solved.

    I don't have TWRP installed on the phone. Wanted to make a nandroid backup of phone FIRST, before installing TWRP on phone (have been having many problems trying to install on phone and am getting tired of having to do complete reinstalls of stock ROM using many flashboot commands). SO, I just used flashboot boot command to boot into the twrp recovery image and tried to do a backup BUT got the 255 error. Can I follow your steps using my method, or MUST the TWRP be already installed on the phone.? Thanks.

    Didn't work for me though. I get data/system_ce/0/, data/user_de/0/, data/vendor_ce/0/ and such. After deleting those folders, restore process stops at "mtppipe add storage" step itself, making those edits futile.
    Good Vid explaining multiple possible solutions. What's with the fake accent btw? Found it real hard to focus, so i had to mute it often.

    I am in a tricky situation. I took the backup and had already wiped the partitions to test another ROM. Now I cannot restore my backup, which is the only place where I have precious data stored. If I recall correctly, I had guest user enabled before taking the backup. Is there anything I can do to make the backup work?

      @sedhoo2879 Рік тому

      Yes, there is a way to restore your backup without Tarfork() error just delete all 999 folders (other users) in your twrp backup files. That's it.

      You could also extract the backup and copy off all of the important files you need

    My phone can't connect to the internet (does not recognize sim or wifi) and its stuck on setup bcs of this. Could this be caused by this error? Because somehow I still have the screenlock on, even after factory resetting

    Will this resolve the "createTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255"? Im afraid to delete anything without backing up first lol. Is it really safe to delete files in /data/systems? I already checked mine it has so many folders and .xml files.

    • @AndroGuider
      @AndroGuider  3 роки тому

      Yeah, this should help. Your personal files such as images and videos are stored in /data/media/0. So, deleting files in /data/system is safe. If you run into any issues, dirty flash the ROM with Gapps and you will be fine. Just go through the solutions in the order they were shown in the video

    can you root vivo y11 with out computer?

    • @AndroGuider
      @AndroGuider  3 роки тому

      You will need a computer to root your phone. TWRP isn't available for your device yet so you will have to build that before unlocking the bootloader. After you have built TWRP, flash it and then install Magisk

    This is far from "100% fix." I have backup files which are not corrupted by the "leakage" for which your program checks, but still cause the same error when restored. I have managed to get the restore to work mostly, by restoring everything EXCEPT "data" and then restoring the data partition separately. Then the failure moved from data.ext4.win000 to data.ext4.win006. After another attempt, it moved to data.ext4.win007, but the phone would then boot the system, which was obviously not fully restored. I have also seen a full restore on a 2nd try, after which the phone works normally. Not sure why TWRP varies in its ability to restore different files with no changes made. This backup was made with TWRP 3.2.3-1 recently and restored with TWRP 3.6.1_9-0

    In my case the problem lies in a file named "data.f2fs.win000". How do I manipulate this file?

    • @AndroGuider
      @AndroGuider  3 роки тому

      The filename doesn't tell much other than the error is in the data partition and the data partition is based on f2fs. Did you check the recovery logs as explained in the video?
