Why not PDF file
Today I have built this gearbox, I wanted to use in my truck, it looks interesting and works well by itself, but it can not be used with motors in MOCs, because the following major problem:
The gearbox doesn't have a neutral gear, so the motor is completely blocked while changing the gears. Motor and gears will be damaged very quickly. 24 teeth gear with clutch will not help here because the torque from a motor will be too weak.
+Vadim S. Hi Vadim,
Thank you for building my gearbox. I really like to get feedback for my creations. Actually this gearbox was not designed to be used in a car. This is why I am currently working on a heavy duty version, as few people asked for it. It is using the newer style driving ring which would allow a much more solid and reliable design. I hope to finish it before the end of the year. However, downgrading with this version is totally possible.
+Charbel's LEGO TECHNIC Creations could you also please try to make a 8 speed that is reliable, solid, light (like really light), and could be shifted by a motor. I know I'm asking a little much but could you at least try? If it works it would work grate if not perfect In a Lego race car.
+Charbel's LEGO TECHNIC Creations or could you make a small, light, compact, racing transmission that has at least 6 gears, neutral, and reverse? You could even have it take up the middle form front to back of the car and only take up the bottom.
Same problem
I'd like to put something like this on a pneumatic engine and see how fast it can go
I’m working on it, have been for like 4 years
Very impressive! Good work! This is little piece of art.
Very impressive gearbox!
Why you don't put instructions in PDF file
Gratz for the 2 K subs ! You deserve it bro ! Keep the good work :D !
Very impressive! Btw, what about the friction and the ratio?
amazing , simply amazing
amazing,
Great job!
I love these gearboxes! Which gearbox would you prefer? I have currently built the heavy duty one but for the transmission rods the grey slider runs on, I had to use the stock ones which take a lot of force to shift resulting in it getting stuck and jamming it self. Besides that, I works really well. But, I would just like to know would you prefer this 8 speed gearbox of the heavy duty one? (BTW I'm not using it in any car, just for fun, to look at. ;D) Thanks!
Awesome dude!
I love it...! PERIOD
very cool design! would love to see a heavy duty version though.
+likeabauws It's gonna come. I just need time.
+Charbel's LEGO TECHNIC Creations oh that's great news! looking forward to it!
I want to request a heavy duty automatic sequential transmission with flywheel :)
+Josh McLaughlin not quite; heavy duty means the gearbox is stronger built itself, so it can bear higher loads.
likeabauws The heavy duty version is coming soon ! I finally finished the prototype which is working perfectly. I simply need to improve the build itself. Expect it to come in a few weeks.
Very cool gearbox! What color do you use for the background? Is it white or lightgrey?
wow. First really working shifting mechanism. How will it work under load ?
Only minor fault I see in the nonsynchronous part. Now only put some gear and motor on to the shifting lever. I also changed the connector under cluthes to the type without stops. It seems to work smother. Thx. I looking forward to put it in my 8x8.
Awesome:D
Невероятно!!!
That's a lot of stuff going on

Can I use it for my Rally/Drift Lego car??
Do you think you could make a small but fast car with only 2 survo Motors? Cause that is all i got :( maybe you can add a part list on your videos!!!
+Fluffy King How do you want to drive a car with a servo motor ? It only rotate 90 degrees.
Im not quite sure i just have been having trouble making a good RC car and my main problem in the steering system. and i use the remote with rotating things. (Sorry i dont know what it is called.
How to make a working lego electric fan
I've been dying to build stuff like this and the engines and stuff. Where do I get the parts for it? I've looked and I've been having problems finding them.
On rebrickable you can get all the parts needed. See the link in the description ;)
your name is charbe?
Can you switch from 8 to 7 without having to turn the whole thing around?
Of course !
There are no instructions, it says this does not exist
and everybody thought 4 speed was a lot.
How much torque does it have? Compared to a m motor
braap stutu braaap stutu BRAAAAAAP STUTUTUTUTTUTU
Hello where do you put the motor?
edit:or the input
What are the ratios?
Take a look at my latest version of this gearbox. Everything is detailed.
i know my comment is after 6 years but the link does not work
no reverse :(
I want to know how it sounds, and if it gives a lot of noise. :/
+ThinkCleverAndSmart Actually it runs really smoothly, but it can't handle high torque.
Charbel's LEGO TECHNIC Creations Ok, thank for your answer! :)
A spudid way to download instruct
Where is the input
Is it posible to replace thoso old trasmtions with new ones??????
Yes, check out the newer version on my channel.
I built it but I don't know where is the input
TheTopGamer35 it's the giant yellow lever on the side
How to build ?
building schreibt in die Kommentare
Cool aber keine anleitung
+Werner Wurst Have you looked at the description ?
.
You turn it by hand?
Boo...
