Man, as much as kentucky fans hate pitino, i don't have any hard feelings for this man. He is doing great things in my home town of Louisville. I will never be bitter towards this man. He did so much for UK basketball, that I just can't understand why there is so much hate towards this man by BBN. Top three basketball programs, preseason ranked, all seem to have respect for one another. Its time to put our differences aside and enjoy this historic season for Kentuckiana basketball. FUTURE!!
You are 100% right. Anybody who does alittle research can find this out for themselves. He was one of only about 3 people I believe that voted against him. He may have thought it was for the better at the time but it is alittle fishy either way. BBN.

It has been documented by other members of the UMASS Board that Rick was one of the FEW on the UMASS Board of Trustees that voted against Caliapri getting the UMASS job in favor of one of his own Asst Coaches. This is also consistent with Calipari's reaction when he has been asked about it "Yeah, THANKS RICK, FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!"
