The questions were brutally honest, and in my opinion managed well by Pitino. Considering the circumstances involving this case into alleged NCAA violations, and charges brought on by the Bureau, Pitino responds in a way where its easy to see that he feels he was betrayed, but not defeated. When asked if he would ever coach again, and his relationship with his players shortly after dismissal by the program, Pitino exhibits raw emotion at his love for the game, and if this does turn out to be the case that the Board at UOFL acted hastily, it'd be better for the sport to have Pitino coaching again somewhere in Division I.

Coaches are very savvy; they have ways of Ok'ing this kind of stuff while maintaining plausible deniability. They have safety mechanisms built into this stuff to where they can legitimately fool themselves into thinking nothing is going on.
