I really really like your content. It does teach people a lot about sketching, fabrics, and of course the fashion industry. But can you do videos that deal with sketching and rendering fabric textures by only using a pencil? It would be of great help especially to those who do not really have much of the not-so-easy-to-buy art materials like me hehe I'm really hoping that you will. More power to youuu!
Thank you for your greatest ideas ♥️ I’m going to get these tablet of paper and Start drawing. I love to sew 🧵 and I’m always getting fabrics to see the colors how they looks. But now I’m going to try your ideas before I buy the fabric ♥️♥️♥️ thank you 🙏…
Zoe, thank you so much for your videos! I am glad I found you on UA-cam. I am changing my career to Fashion Design after having a career in a different field for more than a decade and I absolutely love your videos! They are inspiring and extremely educational/helpful. Question, do you think it is necessary to get a degree in Fashion Design or can one teach themselves? I’ve visited and did a tour of Parsons, FIDM, Otis, and FIT, but because of my age (I’m 35), I’m wondering if it’s best to make my own personal program (taking multiple classes from different colleges through their extension programs and regular classes at trade schools and city colleges) and use resources like your videos to learn the craft of Fashion Design. My ultimate goal wouldn’t be to be the next Anna Sui or Vera Wang...my goal is to have my own brand but start really small & possibly have a small boutique storefront in LA where I live.
I love this video! I wanted to do avant garde for my graduation proyect but I didn't know how to do it, now I know how. I really loved the method of exagerate the size of the garment, I really love big anf flowing sleeves ❤ thanks a lot, now you have a new follower 🌟
@@zoehongteaches You're welcome!! I love these designs so much, it's so unique and interesting! I really wanna make everything but I don't even know where to begin construction! But also you designed it! The point is that it's beautiful and inspiring 💖💖💖

I always wanted to design ever since i was a kid i had a machine but my dad gave it away and i went years without one but my bfs mom has machines so i FeLl like i could try to get into we again . I've been into avant garde fashion for YEARS but only about two years ago did i really start dressing like it. However, its so fucking hard to find unique pieces that i actually want and are affordable. I'm watching this to hopefully be able to create the pieces that I'll actually like and WANT to wear
OMG! My FAVORITE video of yours (they are all pretty great...)! We need to incorporate this design project of yours for the San Francisco Grant Avenue Follies! Senior Bad Ass Glam-Mas dance troupe! I'd kill to see them strutting your designs on a catwalk! (I volunteer to kill myself making them!)
hi Zoe do you think being a designer and your black you wont make it to the Haute couture level or sell your collections in the fashion week Y'know just to be part of community i don't know how to put I'm sorry
Hi Zoe Snehaa here from dubai. Would really appreciate if u advice me about internships suitabel for fashion design ..after completing senior secondary education. .
I've long thought that there should be 2 fields: fashion art and fashion design. Fashion design is the intersection of art and commerce. Fashion art is the expression of ideas using clothing as a medium, without mass production in mind. Fashion is such a huge world that there is room for a lot of different ways to make fashion your own.
Very very very very few people buy avant garde fashion. The point of avant garde is for designers to show concepts, attract attention to their skills, etc. The people who buy avant garde are the ones that prioritize looking very different, who view dressing themselves as almost performance art or want to own fashion art.
By the way, do u have any timelapse videos that show the exact process step by step of conception to production of a collection? Without the details of each individual step (since u have a plethora of other videos with all the details). But just so we can see a listed timeline (with visuals) of the procedure in one, single video from start to finish. For example it would start with "1. Conception" and then show u with your magazine cutout etc for ideas... Then 2. "..." Etc and at the end maybe we could see images or video footage of a real collection (not just drawings) of something you've made from those original ideas u started with at the beginning of the video? That would be SO helpful to me so we can get the entire process listed out in one video (like at what stage does a portfolio come into play or when does merchandising happen in the process? Etc). Then links in description for more details per listed topic. Thanks again for everything u do and for considering this idea. If u have aleady done a video like this please grant me the link because i NEED to see it :)
that ballgown is everything, i want to see it on the runway so bad
