We took it to the limit on a 2s battery, then we pushed well beyond its reasonable limits with a 3s battery and all I can say is you have to see it to believe it.

Yes, she has ran into a lot of hard things, like a magnet. I noticed a few good slams of the tire as she was turning. She snapped the screw off the bottom of the R steering knuckle. Now I'm just trying to learn what all I need to fix it for her. Oh, I also got the Omni Terminator for me. I've only taken it out once, but it's fun!! Thanks so much for replying, I'll be looking at the site.

I would maybe order a body (they have a few different choices but not that same “beast” color scheme), a spare differential and differential input gear, body mount posts. That’s the only issues I’ve had after all this time so far but other possible and common breaks on any RC would be axles, knuckles/hubs, and control arms. Spare wheel hexes, pins, and wheels. Over-buying gets expensive lol
Now that I think of it these wheels might be the same. Double check the measurements and tread pattern. amzn.to/3QB1mRU

I thought for sure you were kidding about jumping the tree, that is just completely nuts how well this thing did. It's got to have something to do with the fact that these smaller scale just don't have the weight and mass behind them when falling, even an expensive 1/10 or 1/8 scale would have snapped or bent something for sure. Sick videos my man, I've been hooked on yours specifically!

But yes this little truck is incredible and absolutely the lightweightedness is a big portion of why it’s so durable. Someone literally asked about these crashes just today and how a bigger car would compare and i absolutely believe most of them would have broken some stuff if not landed on the wheels. Yes that’s correct. A curved 45° ramp. Same one I built in my ramp build video in one of my first few videos.

Recommend a different tire set up or is the stock good enough?
The stocks are actually pretty decent for the size of the car. I am working on an upgrade video trying out some better tires but the difference isn’t as great a si thought it would be.
Same here, I tried a couple different sets but have not been very happy with the performance with heavier or larger tires. The stocks have no foam so I figured that it would make a big difference but it seems to hinder performance a bit while the stock ones maintain a bit more stability and prevent flip overs better as they allow for more drift… thought maybe you had found a better set up.
Seems like it’s pretty great out of box and maybe just an ESC upgrade if doing lots of 3s.

I have a cart that is equipped with the 1500 model, is there a stronger battery that I can put in to make the cart more powerful?
The car is 2s battery capable only.
If you buy a lithium polymer battery you will get 2-3 more miles per hour.
I can't help you find one since nowhere in this video is it explained what battery connector is used.

You cannot install a more powerful 3 cell battery without possibly damaging the electronics, but a lithium polymer style battery will make the truck go a little faster.
It's super fun so far but something weird happened my wheel just came off .. thankfully I found all the small parts and put it back together...but I'm kinda scared it might happen again...do you have a website where I can find parts such as the small hex thingy on the wheel and the small cylindrical part that connects the hex to the actual car ?
RC nuts can sometimes work themselves loose, so just checking them before each run, and if it continues happening maybe every few minutes will help. You can add a small dab of this loctite to the axle threads before installing the wheel nuts which will help keep them from loosening. Just reapply anytime you remove the nut: amzn.to/3wxI5dc

Wheel hexes can be tough. Even though many of them are universal, they don’t all work perfectly with each other so for those (and any other parts you may need) can be gotten from Suchiyu.com. They ship from China so it takes time. They accept PayPal and I have personally ordered from them myself with no issues.

What different body shells can be used on this car? Is it basically any clip on 1/10 body?

Not necessarily any 1/16. It would kind of be trial and error. I ordered a proline 1/16 body for a 1/14 project and it was still too big, but if you stay with a body from a “China” brand, Theres a good chance you could make it work just may need to drill new holes in the body for the posts.

But it could burn out as like I said, it’s not rated for 2s, so a slightly upgraded esc would be better if you plan to use it a lot.

Happened to score one of these from my local Amazon bin store the other day for $10!! It's the one with the Sweep body but everything else is the same. Just gotta give it some tlc as it was definitely used and replace the missing wheelie bar and get a new servo. Can't wait to rip it when she's all done!

@DerbyCityRC you're welcome! I went with some Haiboxing 1/16 shocks. Part number is 16HOP1. They're slightly shorter then the stock shocks but haven't noticed any issues. For tires I ordered a set of MJX Hyper Go wheel and tires but i also have a set of Proline Dirt Hogs from my mini Revo. Was planning to run my stock mini Revo tires but I can't find them for the life of me lol

And the durability is on another level...this is same exact chassis as my new sg218 road race car..i got 40mph on crappy 3s 20c...real hot after a couple of minutes though..i might have to get this bugger also love sg 216...thanks for the extra abusive review. 😅

@Perros1245 that is possible yes. The 50c will discharge current into the ESC quicker than a lower C rating.

I have not. I have heard other people mention esc issues of some kind, but I have not experienced this on this one or the orange car that is similar.

If it’s getting hot that easily with normal driving on pavement or hard dirt, I’d say either reach out to the seller, or replace the esc. But first make sure the car rolls smooth manually and doesn’t feel like something is seized or dragging, and that it happens on more than just one battery.
It's only had one battery ran through it indoors on low speed. Rolls pretty easily like nothing is tight or seized up. I will try to contact seller and see what they can do before replacing. Do you have a recommended website to get parts for these? I appreciate all the help and advice

The angry snail battery comes with a charger it looks like. It’s definitely better to have a higher grade charger like this one: amzn.to/3xBXCZX
But not completely necessary, just follow the safety precautions for lipo batteries.
I haven’t even test that fan I showed in the video. There should be plenty available on Amazon on Banggood, but need to verify the diameter of that motor. If I remember right it’s 28mm
I bought the 16101 Pro platform, proceeded to absolutely beat the snot outta mine, then sent it into a river. Buy a new one, continue to beat the snot outta that one.
Proceed a month later, buy a Rustler Ultimate, proceed to break something EVERYTIME I RUN THE DANG THING and the temu special is still flying into tree stumps at 80kmh and laughing at it.
Definitely worth the money, specially since you can get this truck for under 50 bucks if you catch a deal on Temu or Aliexpress.

Traxxas has a reputation for being durable.
I wouldn't say in reality they are very durable, especially not the monkey metal spur gears.
Team Corally Kagama is the most durable 8th scale, and that includes the drive train. Hardened steel everywhere.

Mine worked fine then started turning off on full throttle but only when on the ground, and only on high speed would it be my esc? How could I get a new one? And would it work with the same remote? Only asking Spence I see people on here that day they’ve found replacement parts but I can’t find them anywhere
I would first try a better battery as maybe the one you got is weak.

@@DerbyCityRC it was the esc replaced with the one on AliExpress and it worked perfectly, did try a new battery but it did the same read the voltage as well it was reading good, did take some time but I would recommend not overheating the esc as it could damage it

That is a possibility which is why I recommend changing the ESC. The stock battery is a 1500mah lithium ion 2s.
The 3s I used was a 2200mah LiPowith around a 30c discharge

What after market oil shocks are similar in diameter to the stock variant? I tried a spare set of HBX that I had laying around and the rears are binding.. help!!
Working on the upgrade video now and I used my HyperGo set off my 16208, which should be these: amzn.to/45UgP4w
They get close, but no binding.
You could also find a way to space your shocks away from the mounting points a bit like with a washer or two. Just enough to pull them away from the control arms, which is what I assume yours are binding on.

It’s a little pricey but it comes with the parts that get it to fit correctly in the 1/16 scale MJXs. Never had an issue with any of these batteries yet.

Nope!! I’ve had it out several more times since then (though no more massive jumps). Its starting to make a clicking sound, but haven’t investigated yet. Definitely in my top most durable cars!
And yes I believe the sweep is the same!

No but I didn’t run it on 3s for long. I have read comments of people having esc issues, not sure if it was due to 3s use or not. I would recommend an esc upgrade if you want to use 3s.

Not usually. In most cases the ESC needs to be replaced with a higher amperage unit.

Well 3s didn’t kill mine either (though I didn’t run it too long). Some comments say it’s been fine and others have said they did burn it up. It’s just a chance really. Could always wait until it does blow 😃
Anyone notice issues with the esc cutting out when trying to wheelie? Hit full throttle from stopped position and it burns out almost every time. Hope it’s not just me with a crappy esc. Running stock 2s battery that it came with.
Also I have a couple more coming from ali-express, they ship with two or more bodies/batteries from Ali and are in stock.

That stinks. It never did that for me. Might be worth trying another battery. A bad battery could cause this. Hopefully that’s it, otherwise I’d see if you can get a replacement.

My roof isn’t a 12/12. It would climb my roof easy.

Was your left front really towed to the left? Mine is damn crazy and it looks like it is to be that way. Makes it a pain when not used to it because I about ran the damn thing into the stream off the side of the road lol
It’s normal for there to be some toe out on 4WD RCs. Need to adjust the trim so it goes straight, but it shouldn’t be really bad or biased heavily towards one side

Ask me again once I put different shocks and possibly tires on it. Going to upgrade this and that short course truck I showed probably in the same video soon and that will give me a better idea. I have a feeling this one will win with those upgrades. Speed and stunt wise, it’s already better but I want to see smoother landings.

Ya my pro sometimes ran good on 3s and sometimes didn’t. Still an awesome car but nowhere near as fast.

They are almost the same truck, temus is cheaper. I bought 2 this year and have been severely abusing them lol they hold up awesome, lipo 1800mah battery and oil shocks were a massive upgrade.

@demomanmlg no, the 1/16 hypergos have similarities to HBX, but they’re different still, and these are even more different. Of course they’re still similar in the fact that motor sizes are close and it’s a similar size with 4 wheels, but just like Chevy/ford they are different. The 1/14 hypergos have the metal chassis and are even more different. All good choices!!

Dude I can say enough good things about these SuChiYue rc’s. They pretty much have it all except oilFilled shocks! To me right up there with MJX HyperGo and Rlaarlo.
