This Vlogger "Chocolate Man" is a real good dude, and I also follow his channel. I agree with him 100% that Thailand is a whole lot better than Philippines, and the only advantage that Philippines has is that they speak English more than Thai's, but I actually prefer Thais not understanding me all the time. Thailand has a much better Infrastructure which I also like the most, and secondly are the beautiful Thai women. Unlike these USA Vets, I was never drafted into the military because I received a deferment while in college completing my Associate, Bachelors, Masters degrees by age 26 yrs old, and retired as a probation officer by age 50 with a very healthy pension from Los Angeles.. There is no comparison to me in regards to Thailand and the Philippines, or even Costa Rica, Brazil, Amsterdam, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Island nations, Madrid Spain, Brussels, Belgium, Singapore, Cambodia, Dominican Republic. The DR was my worst vacation in a place called Boca Chica which was a "DUMP" from my point of view...

Thailand is more limited than the Philippines with reduced islands. The reason is Philippines has more wide outspoken English and have no issues with the language barrier.

Age demographics suggest that we are all part of a wave headed directly into an assisted living within 5-10 years from arriving in our chosen retirement destination. Pattaya and other tourist towns, are built to accommodate tourists, not wheel chair potatoes which we all will someday be. Looking for Ms Right to take care of those assisted living needs is one of the most important things we decide on that will effect our old age happiness. *Burning the candle can leave you in the dark when it burns out* and time waits on no man Get a plan, or have fun until the light burns out, the liver or kidneys fail or your wallet runs dry. Too many of us have been jumping off buildings here in Thailand once the party's over.
