Glad I'm not the only one who thought this whole debate was entirely pointless, stupid, and insane. A debate where everyone is right but nobody wants to admit it. Everything, in classic PM fashion, is so interconnected, layered and nuanced. Meursault's EGO is a reference to everything it could be a reference to. The hair is so clearly a reference to Yesod but the reason Angela has colored buttons in all her EGO forms in her realizations is in direct reference to the Patron Librarians. Each Abnormality on these specific floors relates to both Angela and the Patron Librarian in some way. Because the whole point of the realizations is to accentuate the complicated and tumultuous relationships between Angela and the Patron Librarians. (with the librarians and Abnormalities as part of it all because of what happened in LobCorp and the Patrons acting as "mentors" to an extent now). That's the reason everything overlaps. All of this is the reason why the assistant Librarians use the EGO design when using the EGO page, why Angela has the design in the first place in the realization, the colored buttons, Meursault having Yesod's hair, etc. Not to even mention Walpurgis Night's whole purpose and its literary influences and applications in Limbus being a time to celebrate PM's extended world in interesting ways through the eyes of the Sinners. And we all know that Abnormalities, E.G.O. etc. being as deeply tied to the human experience and subconscious change from game to game/story to story slightly at least. The meaning and core are the same but they're re-defined and re-interpreted a lot. The detail that the reason Sinners can have EGO of the same Abno is because each Sinner interprets the creature and story differently because of their unique experiences and personalities is more evidence of this. And don't get me started on the fucking people saying "I know Meursault better than PM when we have been shown no more than 10% of his full character and story." And even when Meursault's canto is far away, if you actually read The Stranger (which I bet the people accusing PM of not doing ironically haven't) you'll be able to so easily realize the The Stranger is about a man who processes grief and emotions based on stimuli differently than others and is shunned for it, eventually leading him to murder a stranger he meets on a beach and get imprisoned for it and put on trial. (hence the Chains of Others EGO, Meursault's PV, etc.) Yet the insanity of what these fans are saying continues because it's like they didn't play LobCorp, Ruina, or Limbus because PM is not content with adapting all these literary ideas and stories 1:1 and always turns them on their head and re-interprets them to not only make fascinating stories and characters but to fit them so beautifully into their own world and progress their own wholly original stories alongside these insanely smartly and emotionally powerful adapted stories. I just don't understand how and why people act this way, man. And honestly, if you ask me, I think the addition of Yesod's hair with Angela's initial design in the Ruina realization is kind of beautiful in a way that it takes after the ending of Ruina where Angela is able to at least live peacefully with the other Patron Librarians, even if their relationships and regrets aren't completely resolved by the end, they live on with each other and come to some understanding together.
I can't wait for Ruina fans to find out that assistant librarians and lob corp agents were canon (they didn't read the lore)
