It don't matter who comes & goes this was the best out there ever. It'll never be that good again! The Cathedrals Quartet was the best gospel group ever! All good things come to an end & it did when The Cathedrals walked off stage for the last time. They had a household name.
"Glory Train" I want to ride that glory train I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train Yes, all I want to do When my life on earth is through Is to get aboard and ride that glory train Ah, there's a ralroad train that's leavin' Just rolling down the track And the passengers aboard it boy They're never coming back It's a glory train that's leaving It's the train I long to ride To that home way up in heaven Where God's children all abide I want to ride that glory train I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train Yes, all I want to do When my life on earth is through Is to get aboard and ride that glory train Hear the thunder of engine Get aboard her if you can For the final destination Is that far off promised land Where the master will be waiting In his home way up above Just to fill our hearts with gladness And his great eternal love I want to ride that glory train I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train Yes, all I want to do When my life on earth is through Is to get aboard and ride that glory train When you get down to the station And the train's about to leave You be sure to have a ticket If you really do believe That the Master's waiting for you In his home way up above Just to fill our hearts with gladness And his great eternal love I want to ride that glory train I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train Yes, all I want to do When my life on earth is through Is to get aboard and ride that glory train Oh that glory train Yes, that glory train
This is from Bill Gaither's 1996 New Year's Eve Celebration. This particular video featured all types of Christian artists and is somewhat hard to find. However, I do have the three songs the Cathedrals did that night posted here.
I just checked Amazon, and right now there are two copies of this particular VHS for sale. About ten dollars.

The Cathedral Quartet Fans This is amazing, my brother. The Cathedrals were such a blessing. Thank you very much for sharing this videos with us. God bless you!
This and other songs of Radio Days album and Alive show are kinda marks of a really BAD time for Cathedrals... And yes, "Alive! Deep in the heart of Texas" is REALLY BORING!!! Just my opinion! Cats had better songs!
I'd have to say, your opinion was in the rarest of opinions of The Cathedrals...because this group in the Audience, and every group of people I had ever been a part of, at many of their concerts, WOULD TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU. Yes, they had a few slower songs, maybe not as popular for that time frame, but they always were The Best of The Best even on those songs, AND THEY DID THOSE STYLES OF SONGS To Reminisce and to Kinda Recycle The Old Styles of Quartet Singing back into Those Current Days !!! That was Awesome, as it showed how their Particular Quartet, with 2 Older Gentleman, and 3 Younger Gentlemen could make the old stuff valid as ever again, and they changed the music and arrangements to make them sound valid with those day's tweaks added to Breath New Life into Old Songs from Older, Simpler times. I'm Sorry, but I MISS THE CATHEDRAL QUARTET, THIS GROUP, AND THE PRIOR MEMBERS ESPECIALLY !!! For Old Guys, They Knew How to Enjoy Themselves...and They Never Hid After a Long Concert !!!
Was there ever a gospel quartet better than these guys?!! I could listen to them all day!!
I could listen to them all day also. Wonderful harmony

The longer they sang together, the Lord blended their voices more and more. Glory bumps!

"Glory Train"
I want to ride that glory train
I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train
Yes, all I want to do
When my life on earth is through
Is to get aboard and ride that glory train
Ah, there's a ralroad train that's leavin'
Just rolling down the track
And the passengers aboard it boy
They're never coming back
It's a glory train that's leaving
It's the train I long to ride
To that home way up in heaven
Where God's children all abide
I want to ride that glory train
I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train
Yes, all I want to do
When my life on earth is through
Is to get aboard and ride that glory train
Hear the thunder of engine
Get aboard her if you can
For the final destination
Is that far off promised land
Where the master will be waiting
In his home way up above
Just to fill our hearts with gladness
And his great eternal love
I want to ride that glory train
I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train
Yes, all I want to do
When my life on earth is through
Is to get aboard and ride that glory train
When you get down to the station
And the train's about to leave
You be sure to have a ticket
If you really do believe
That the Master's waiting for you
In his home way up above
Just to fill our hearts with gladness
And his great eternal love
I want to ride that glory train
I want to ride, ride, ride that glory train
Yes, all I want to do
When my life on earth is through
Is to get aboard and ride that glory train
Oh that glory train
Yes, that glory train

Originally recorded by Ricky Nelson. Like both versions but Gospel is better.

Wow, how can I find this show? How's it called?

I must disagree with you, not boring at all.
