Please clarification needed is pre filter predilution and post filter post dilution? In prefilter is it haemodilution that occurs or haemoconcentration? Is it similar to the proximal and distaconvuluted tubules fluid control in the nephron?
Osaheni, You can use CRRT to do the same thing as HD; but that defeats the purpose of having a CRRT in the first place. Also, your replacement fluid needs to be balanced between pre filter and post filter. If you only do it pre-filter only, it causes dilution. If you only use it post filter, it causes concentration and clots. I hope that answers your question. I will be making a follow up video on this topic.
@@michael.yemane Thanks. But why do replacement of fluid when you want to remove fluid in patients with renal failure. I notice normal heamodialysis don't do this. Can you help with some explanations. Thank you
UFR/BFR x (1 - Hct) + RFR. It should be around 23% of your GFR. I will make a party two video on this explainig all that. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching.

"The syringe pump is used to inject anticoagulation after the blood runs through the device". > before? anti co is given before the blood runs through the device, right?
Was an excellent review. Thank you 🙏

Ok. Dilution and concentration is with refrences to the blood within the filter. Pre filter dilute the blood in the filter, post filter does not
@@osaheniosas4731 your overall total filtration is always going to be a net negative.
Hi @michale... I need a clarification on FF ...In Prismaflex system how is Filtration Fraction calculated?
