UNL it was knot nation who did Z’s dreads
Zillas dreads are so hard 🔥
Ayyyyy I love your pfp
some black people like thier hair straight and some white people like thier hair dreaded, why do yall care?
No black person likes their hair straight it’s either because of their surroundings and not growing to appreciate their natural hair.
@@midas7659 nah some of em do😂
Nah, truth is that people want what they cant have.
@@Snap123S White people can get dreads, and black people can get their hair straight so wtf are you talking about?
Slimeball that was the most ignorant shit I heard today
I have straight hair with a bit of a wave, so real white peoples hair… And I actually decided to start dreadlocks because my hair would knot up so easily, it bothered me when it got long… I couldn’t wear a hoodie, or wool sweater, because after an hour I couldn’t go through it anymore with my hands… No matter how healthy my hair is, it kept doing that… I always loved the look of dreads, and am happy I finally got them… Never had such an easy hairstyle… So, some white people really have hair that locks up very easy… To me locks are freedom when it comes to my hair…
I wanna get straight hair dreads.
Love your vids man
I've got dreadlocks few days ago (lockdown boredom y'all) and I'm realising what I missed for the last 4 years
My straight hair locs are 5 years old now and I love the freedom they give me. I live in a pretty conservative area, I go to a small country church, and I never get any hate for my dreads - only love. Most of the people who stop to compliment me in public are from the black community. I didn't even know anyone had a problem with white people wearing dreads until I got on UA-cam and saw the videos. It shocked me. I don't think Caucasians wearing dreads is cultural appropriation, it's cultural appreciation. Thank you for doing this video.
It's not even cultural appreciation, it's just their own hair. Nobody owns stopping brushing one's hair.
Thank you I have em. ❤
Thank you!!!
I have straight locked hair, actually it's curly fine caucasian hair. I use crochet method to maintain it leaving the new growth fairly loose.
I’m mixed with white and Mexican and my hair tries to freeform all the time. So can’t say based on race that it’s not meant for certain peoples hair. People have no idea how anyone else’s hair acts day to day.
I'm also white Mexican mix. Working on freeforms now 😊
I'm white and wanted dreadlocks but was hesitant cuz people be hating, but people like you make me not hesitant about it
They be like "white people dont look good in dreads locs" or what ever but they always tryna straighten there hair like come on a style for a style.
"they" straighten their hair bc for a long time hair outside of being straight was illegal in the workplace.
@@shellygarland8766 but we dont have those rules and regulations anymore so there are no excuses.
@@imsocentral2872 no, its still illegal. only 5 states made it legal for black people to wear type 4 hair in the workplace, and that was in december 2019.
@@shellygarland8766 uhhh what? its not illegal to have a certain hair style in the workplace. I would love to see the source were you heard that from.
Yea it is bruh lol haha it’s seen as unprofessional. There’s been cases of kids literally being sent home from school wearing their natural hair to school. Lmfao what you talking about lol

Thank you so much for your words and encouraging people to be their selves no matter what others say. I've been considering locking my hair for years but haven't because people say "you are white dont do that"
Do it! I'll do it too
Do it, but prepare for hate.
I have dreadlocks and I get a lot of that but I don't care.
I tried to get my hair into some little plaits, but I don’t have the right amount of dreads for it. I’m one dread off. Is there anyway to fix this without combing them out?
Mine locks up naturally with no maintenance long as I don’t comb. Takes a long time but it does.
Can you do lil keed dreadlocks please he just bleached it to they look so cool
This boost my confidence for getting dreadlocks
Lil pump is Colombian
Thanks for telling us what his nationality is. His ethnicity is white.
@@zino3893 Many people in Latin America are mixed to various degrees with various ethnicities. I'm sure there are numerous more appropriate labels than white, which he obviously isn't. I'm sure you think Sean Paul is white too lol.

I'm white and have dreadlocks. Didn't 'get' dreadlocks, they are 100% freeform with no maintanence at all. They are very, very long now, and heavy. The bottom part is brown my original hair color, parts sun bleached from years, and the top half grey as they've grown older with me :) Dreads are the natural state of most hair, no need to get them made (just takes patience).
Could you tell how jalen ramsey got his dreadlocks jalen ramsey is a football player for the la rams
Ive had dreads for almost a year. Can dreads damage your hair or fall out?
noahnaohhnaoahno No. only if you treat your hair badly. Like with any style
I've had straight hair dreadlocks for a while now. Gunther is right about the loose roots and loose tips. It's pretty much inevitable. Maintenance is key, but not as much as time and patience. One thing I would advise against is overusing the crochet hook. It's very easy to pull a straight hair out with a crochet hook and not realize it, then put that hair no longer attached to your scalp inside the matted section. I realize matted hair is FULL of dead hair, but pulling straight hair out of a root can be the death of a matted "loc" because only so much rooted hair can support the weight of so much matted hair before the roots can't handle the weight anymore and it falls off. Especially if they get soaked. I've only lost a couple, but both were while I was palm rolling after a wash.
Gunther if you go back to dreadlocks try comb coiling that's what I'm going to do
Nice content
I think the reason people with straight hair dreadlocks get so much hate is because people are used to dreadlocks with the blunted off but white hair dreadlocks or a straight hair dreadlocks usually have the ends not blunted so that's why some people may think they look weird.
yeah it’s probably very difficult to get good looking dreadlocks with a straight hair texture
I'm white but always had a really frizzy and wavy hairstructure so my dreads formed super easy... because they shrank a lot in the first few months I added human hair extensions (which were straight) and they have a really hard time staying locked up so honestly I'm thinking of removing the extensions again but I they were pretty expensive and I also put so much time in installing them so if anyone has some advice for me let me know
Im personally a big supporter of freeforming. Let the hair grow, keep it clean, dont brush but separate the dreads when they try to congo together and thats it. That and the time and patience is all anyone really needs to start a unique set of dreads. Not a style for everyone though. It can get pretty wild looking at times whereas you can achieve a more uniform professional look from other methods if thats what you desire.
Opinion on crochet with 2-3 needles instead of the traditional singular needle?
I recently had locks installed crochet method and I'm a little bummed because I only had palm rolled in the past which I loved.. and the crochet is too tight. Is there any way to fix it?
I've had my hair locked for almost four years. They are free formed.
I want to some freeform dreads 😩
The Irish have lore around locks claiming they're made by faeries dancing in your hair and bad luck to comb out. My hair requires little more than regular separating to lock. Regular separating because otherwise it'll all make one big paddle. I see way more maintenance of dreads on POC than mine ever needed. My hair will lock up all on its own. I'm Irish, scottish, norweigian, and native american. In other words quite white.
i have Caucasian hair. not mixed with anything so prolly 2a hair. its really straight with like a hint of wave sometimes. but I've been free forming for about 16 months with no section/separation from the start. i didn't plan on doing any maintenance before i got them and wanted to just have 100 % freeform cuz i love the style ,dedication and journey of them. I knew i was gonna have congos and possibly big ones. but i have one congo that has gotten to the point where its just simply to big and uncomfortable on my scalp at this point. its almost consuming all the other dreads and making it into one big singular dreadlock, and that's not what i want. do u have any tips on getting rid of that congo the safest way or is it just GG at this point. Love the channel btw long time viewer even before I started the loc journey. Big ups.
I got free form dreads without trying and my hair is straight straight. It was passed my shoulders and I was just drying my hair with a towel and bomb i had dreads after. I could not get them out with a brush or comb. So I just rocked it for the lonest till it got to hot and it all came off at once like a matt it was bad.
My dads black/Arab and my moms white but my hair type is lightly wavy. I got high top dreads 9 months ago and they look reallll good. U can get very tight and blunted dreads u just gotta maintain them

I have somewhere around 70 and curly hair. When I put in my first set I had 24, redid them and had 47. Personally I'm SO glad I didn't stick with the 24. Sections were big, and it was kind of limiting with hairstyles

Dreads arent owned by any culture
@@basedpump946 very true. They werent invented by anyone but instead appeared independently of each other, like for example the vikings "made" dreads in the 700's or so and the ancient egyptians did the same way longer back but the vikings didnt know of that and they still made it

My son and I both have a half head of dreads. For him it's because his hair does in fact dread on its own!! He has straight hair. For me, my hair does the same as his with dreading on its own if the wind blows in the wrong direction.. and the 2nd reason why for me is because my hair is so flat and lifeless.. and that is lame as shit!! Also people do need to look up where dreads come from and who they were actually meant for. You'll be surprised to know that if people want to claim cultural appropriation, that in fact literally every single person is culturally appropriating, no mater your skin color.
All I want to say, is who gives a shit what you wear or how your hair is. I hope your life is great and treating you well! ❤
