How To Use SharePoint News For Email

This SharePoint online tutorial will demonstrate how to use SharePoint news for email. The SharePoint news for email feature allows you to send news posts that are created in the SharePoint online news web part via email to users directly from SharePoint. At the time of launch, there are five SharePoint news for email templates available that are preformatted to render nicely across all device types. This feature is the closest extension of SharePoint made for email marketing as it allows you to create and distribute SharePoint email campaign and SharePoint news digest. This video will demonstrate how to create and send a SharePoint news digest email using one of the five SharePoint news digest template. This feature is now the easiest way to get SharePoint news in outlook and SharePoint news into Outlook. Most importantly, this feature eliminates the need to use SharePoint news digest power automate. At the time of recording this video, the SharePoint online news web part email template is generally available is slowly releasing to various Microsoft tenants. I know you can schedule a post and email at the same time. you can also schedule a post to go out on a specific day, but can you schedule an email as well? It looks like you can send a notification via setting up a automation.

Thanks for the video. I used the newsletter template and any time I preview or email test the newsletter the formatting changes and everything is formatted in one long column. As you will have seen in the template, there are certain sections that have 2 columns. Is there any way to fix this? TIA!

Your best bet for this is to use either SharePoint or Activel Directory groups.

@@LuiIacobellis do you know if you are able to email Outlook distribution groups using this feature and if so, will people on that distribution list be able to see the content even if they don't necessarily have access to the SharePoint site its been created on?
