This song made me think that in the scene where someone says "We need another Jose!" Camilo actually puts on a fake smile and also fakes this cheerful tone saying "Jose!" also faking his funny personality not to burden the family...

I've always interpreted Camillo as definitely having identity issues and being stuck with a power that makes him essentially worthless to the people around him, since HE'S never the one they need. I wish he had more screentime to develop his own insecurities.
I wish many others had more screen time.
But you can't have Everyone's attention without a few of them being the bigger focus.
I absolutely love this sound. This shows a stark difference yet an important similarity between Dolores and Camilo: They're both rushed and confused. Dolores is in a constant stream of information and needs to talk fast with a piano to center herself. While Camilo is in a state of mental confusion With many personas in his mind trying to ground himself but failing

@navimcfarland9113 I can picture the exciting parts having sounds of trees, tigers, monkeys, and some other wild animals. But when it gets to the calm and/or sad parts, you only hear the wind, the leaves, the water, and some birds chirping.
Just like how in Luisa's song, most of it is heavy and deep until it gets to the clouds, which sounds lighter.

Ya. I remember sitting down with someone just to discuss what kind of struggles Camilo might have gone through. It was a shame the movie did not touch onto the subject as much.
Your song is really interesting.
"Will that person ever be me? Will it?" Would give off the idea that he is sad about it, but he hopes that someday somebody will say "yes". That somebody will want him.
"That person will never be me. Will it?" Give off the idea that he gave up. That he is already convinced that he is too useless to be wanted.
That seemed pretty hard that's why I thought about the alternative.
But honestly...after so many years shapesshifting...and no one call for YOU...well it makes sense.

I like how the most the song continues, the most the screen shakes, which can show that time passes and the most time passes, the most Camilo struggles with that shape-shifting ability (that's my thought)

Holy crap, this is incredible! I was looking through Encanto fansongs and this one is PERFECT! I love SynthV and vocal synths as a whole and Camilo is one of my favorite characters, this is incredible!! I hope we get more exploration of Camilo’s identity struggles like this in the future of Encanto, keep up the wonderful work!

Because there are people like camilo who wear several mask because they want to help out or survive in their environment.
And they are other type of people, "Dark Camilos" I would say, who know very well that the person you need will never be them, because they are a bad person. So then, they "become the person you think you'll need" and you don't know better, until you see a flash of who they really are.
