That was fascinating. Excellent fin mod. I had to make a similar mod to mine to stop the spin. Excellent water clarity.

@@TheFishLocker Thanks for your comment John, much appreciated, the camera footage as you know was hard to watch with the spinning, I wonder why water wolf hasn’t made an attachment to clip on these as they are good cameras, this was filmed in 46 to 50metres, I have also made a wee pyramid frame to hold the camera horizontal with a cheap diving torch attached, tried it out last night off a pier with some exciting viewing, tight lines bud 🎣🐟🐟🐟

Interesting to see the various grounds you fish over and what a difference the fin has made to the footage. Cracking capture with the seal and shark.

@@bdr6199 Thanks for taking the time to comment bud, I don’t know why water wolf hasn’t made a fin for these cameras as they swing back and forth while towing them on the drift and it blurs the surrounding area being filmed which makes it a task to watch, the fin seemsto have cured this.

Many thanks for a really interesting video that leaves we boat anglers longing for more . Although based on the west coast, my friend and I had similar experiences with seals out of Dunbar, where many attacks left only fish heads and sometimes just the jaws on the hook! Your mods to the camera have really refined the images. The ones of the porbeagle are awesome.
Now subscribed and looking forward to more of the same😉

@@Lavraki Thanks for your comment and subscription Charlie, much appreciated, to be fair it seems to be only the one seal at the moment that has sussed out taking fish off our lines and it is very sufficient at it, the shark also helps itself when it is in our area.

The Porgy was interesting, a species nearly wiped out by commercial Norwegian exploitation. As they make a steady recovery they may need protection from foreign fishing vessels. Great posting.

@@ssergorp7105 Thanks for yer comment bud, this beastie needs protection from ourselves, everyone seems to want to catch it but thankfully they are no longer allowed to be fished in Scotland, the same can be said of the basking sharks that were exploited in britain until 1995 and are gradually making a comeback, we humans have a lot to answer for but we can only live and learn, tight lines buddy 🎣🐟🐟🐟

I have found out that it is illegal to fish for these in Scotland, and if you were fishing for them you wouldn’t be able to do that with a boat full of lines goin down, these beasts might take an hour or so to tire out while chasing it all over the sea, tangling in creel rope etc and it would be most likely you would catch the seal which would be another set of problems.
