I am not sure if I like that knocking sound that much. Sounds similar to when lifters are not working properly, or when compression issues, and there is that high pitch knocking sound.
I love a V8 but one run through the gears in that and I'd want out of that noisy bastard!!!
There's an exhaust valve applied so you can turn the loud pipes on and off as you wish. ;)

I don’t know much about trucks but whats’s that knocking sound and how does it sound like a very low rpm engine?
The answer is the long, zig-zag shaped exhaust pipe system under the chassis. 😄 That's how you achieve the knocking/clapping sound.

Hello! I don't know what's the build year of this one, probably around 2007-2008. 😁 If you want a sound like this, you will need at least 7-8 m of steel pipe, an exhaust valve, and you have to do something with the adblue, because it can f*ck up your stock exhaust system while you use it on your open pipe. You have to disable it when going loud, or disable permanently. :)

Why does it sound like the clutch is slipping in the beginning of the video?
It's not the clutch, it's the tires slipping on the road surface. :) If you look carefully, you can see we were sliding a little bit on the wet road. :)

Sounds so nice, way different than my peterbilt. How much if an rpm range do you have before shifting? Sounds like big gaps between gears
In this video he pushes it further than it is needed, just for the sound. These engines normally work between 1000-1500 rpm. Here you can even hear it at 1800-2000 rpm. :)
The gearbox is a 12 speed automatic plus 2 crawler gears.
To me and my bf we love peterbilt and Scania they both have that magical effect u know.

Rpm is same, he is, i think, going slow so pressing throttle very gently

Haha, but you can turn this off if you wish. :D Since this is not only a broken muffler but a specially built loud pipes system with an exhaust valve. :D I bet broken mufflers can not be turned off with the flick of a switch in the cab. 🙈

So how does the shifting work? Are you pressing in a clutch when you tap the column stick or is it more like a sequential? Over here in the states that's a very odd setup
Basically it''s automatic but you can shift manually with that stick. You only press the clutch for starting and stopping, and for precise manouvering. While moving you don't use it.

That's why there is an exhaust valve in it. ;) You just flick a switch in the cab, and sounds like a normal truck again. 💪
