      Me 2. I fell in love with Orangs the first time I saw orangutan island. Prior to watching OI, had no knowledge of orangutans, except they are orange apes. In fact, I always assumed that that's why they were called, *orang*utans in the first place, because of their orange fur. Since watching OI, I've developed a fascination with them so much that my family thinls I'm crazy. I tell them that all it takes is one episode of OI and they'd be hooked too. I've watched so many documentaries about orangutans, I'm pretty much an uncertified expert. I wonder what happened to OI. They need to bring it back, instead of those boring shows they have on Animal Planet, now.

    These little ones are very bright and determined. I love them, and love them, and love them. If each one of us donates $10 to the BOS Foundation, we can build a decent amount of money, and it can be used for all sorts of care and protection and training for these very special endangered critters. They need food money, fuel for rescue boats and jeeps, vet and medicine money, wages for these wonderful stand-ins for us because we can't be there. This time of year donations are especially significant as we give gifts around the world. Please, let us join together with individual $10 donations this month, and in the months to follow. Here in the USA, $10 will not quite pay for a large pizza with the trimmings. I know those people who love to watch these videos get more than $10 worth of joy and amusement from them.

Don’t care at all .. I’d assume since they’re very lean with no subcutaneous fat, they’d not be exactly flavorful ... idk. • @breAnnasmama
      @breAnnasmama 4 роки тому

      Mattz44K exactly. I hate how they have to put such humanized references and comparisons in it. School. As if ... school by nature has done nothing but tear away at society and morals and standards ... while it’s important for PEOPLE to be aware and educated and skilled to survive , I despise the education system and what it truly does ... they honestly confine people into self limited ways , diminishing and limiting brain activity and development , while only targeting everyone to adopt the same beliefs and practiced and standards , yet want to remove any actual values and morals , while dumbing people down and keeping them only as smart as the system dictates ... either everyone should follow whatever being in a cog , Only allowed to advance by having to buy their knowledge handed to them in a warped , limited sense , keeping ppl from having any ability to really have a say so defining their path in life , based on the confines they’re really locked into by the system or removing their ability to have self thinking and creatively , unless they’re only taught to learn and be influenced by very few examples being deemed above whatever else .. it’s like oh everyone has to learn bs about Shakespeare and plays and literature & art styles yet God forbid they surpass that of what the system caps them off at .. u can only learn up to a certain level of what’s forced on u , yet people Define their status and place in the word according to those self limiting standards ., and here we have apes going to “ school “ just so humans can feel like they’re doing something .

    They all have such big fat round stomachs. They look like little big round spiders , minus 4 extremities 😂 🤣 haha .. I wonder if those apes are similar when it comes to what causes them to have more or less hair as infants , as that of monkeys ... bc some are almost as if they’re bald or shaven . It’s so Strange looking ... I know with monkeys at least , the amount of hair they have when born and as babies is a direct indicator of the health and longevity of the pregnancy , while they’re developing before being born .. so I wonder if that plays any role with orangutans, as well ... or if it’s just a generic marker due to the traits of one or both parents or further back within the genetic line .. I am well aware that there are vast differences between apes and any monkeys , but just curious as to what causes an orangutan to have more or less hair ... apart from Certain breeds , Which tend to follow a pattern and share the same traits of hair that’s more dense and thick , almost appearing like dreads when they’re adults. Either way , idk .., what’s strange as well , is the fact that orangutans are so large yet they all Vocalize in that extremely high pitch almost whiny tone. You’d think monkeys would get those vocal cords & sounds , as opposed to such a big ape.

      imonyoutube ok ... you think something heavily endangered is fine ? Why bc u see any of them on a UA-cam video and that gives you the justification to assess that? No they’re not “ fine “... they can’t reaccumulate their numbers when it takes so long for them to even learn the basics and be old enough to breed and the mothers will wait a few years or more before getting pregnant once more .. plus the people destroying their habitat contributes to significant loss ... they’re not a type of species that does well at adaptation to their environment, so they’re kind of doomed due to self limiting behaviors as well.

    TV hosts need to be not quite so clever ad full of themselves. "You cheeky monkey" sounds clever but is entirely ignorant. And Mikaela acts as though she were an experienced employee of the center as opposed to a host-commentator. She made a very bad job of going into that home and taking possession of the infant because this job should be done by Indonesians, not foreigners, and she was not friendly enough to the villagers.

      Orang = person. Utan derived from 'hutan' means forest. So yes, it is generally true translation.
