I know this is a joke. but in todays world of over stearing the ship. YOU are the ADULT, just tell them the truth. then deal with it. Its how it has been done.
Just to be sure: the joke is not about self-justice . The joke is about the chance that after 23 years and no affair on either side something like this will happen is more slim than one of the partners dying ( for example by a lightning strike). So it is none of her concerns and she doesn’t need to stay rational. She doesn’t educate or know how it is to be cheated on.
If this was a male comedian would it have gotten any laughs?
