She does an okay Southern African American accent. But actually, there's a lot of Carribean Indians and Southern Indians. And they do it on another level. I bet you that comedian Aziz Ansari speaks Southern Black Dialect much better. He grew up in the South.

I always felt so horrible when I worked customer service and a lovely East Indian would call and they'd hold their breath when I asked for their name. I've always really loved East Indian culture, so I've learned a lot about the meanings of names, and their importance. So they would tell me their first name, I would be lucky sometimes to know it's meaning, and if not, I'd ask, because I was genuinely interested to know. It always broke the ice, because I personally know how hard it is to have someone attempt to spell your name or pronounce your name. Mind you the last name I have, of which there are three maiden names I have (it's part of our background) is as common as Smith, and they still spell it wrong and say it wrong. I've let it go. lol But I seriously understood her whole bit. Indian names are like music, when you hear them, and know their meaning, it makes Western names seem bland by comparison.

Ms Sindhu, you never disappoint! Not only do you have a poetic name, you can do African-American better than the African-Americans!! I continue to enjoy your intelligent, clean humor. Keep on doing stand-up comedy. God bless you, aunty. Much love, from the Fiji Isles in the South West Pacific. Please, come for a visit and gig/s , sometimes. Warm, sunny smiles ❤🎉

LOL! Love her African American accent and her gigs and I'm so glad to originally only have 2 letters in my last name which I had to extend with a "y" for better pronouncation living in Germany ;-).

Or maybe, just maybe, she knew that your average white Englishman would have a hell of a time trying to pronounce “Ventkatnarayanan”; so, she decided to shorten it!
I was teaching at a university. I had a woman come to my class from Sri Lanka. Her first name was Anglo. But the last name was Wickramagremagre. It didn't take that long to get it right. But I did have to concentrate. And I also have a complicated foreign name with way too many consonants.

Sindhu, you are a versatile spontaneous proficient comedian. Just today I found you. Blessing my lady
They tend to thrive on what's familiar! Now that's perfect. Will use it in everyday conversations. Such a gentle yet killing characteristic.

She is obviously spinning a yarn here but her mimicry of African American women is spot on That's how they talk.😄

They misspelled it in the banner at 7:04 as well, most likely why the title is wrong
Venkatnarayanan
instead of
Venkatanarayanan
They forgot a 6th A in the name. That is excusable. At some point people have too many letters.
