Oh, I know you would hate this Vincenzo....but this was my one processed food item I would have as a child, and I admit it's still a guilty pleasure from time to time. What's interesting is that the packaging is different than here in America: the pasta is directly in the cardboard box (smaller diameter and isn't quite as yellow). The cheese powder is actually way more of an artificial yellow (so maybe it's even a more concentrated drug for us Americans). It's weird your box directions say to use 1/2 cup milk and mix everything. The American directions are to melt butter, than add 1/4 cup milk, mix the packet, and then mix the macaroni. One time my mom and I tried another Kraft macaroni product that might be more popular now: using an instant Velveeta sauce that has no prep: it was the most artificial 🤮 I have ever tried. I don't know if I should suggest trying one of their instant packets just so you can appreciate the "cheese powder" 😀. Now I did grow up with good cooking: my mom especially would focus on great home cooked dinners. When I was a tiny kid, I also never got enough of broccoli with cheese. Now also being in an area where I can get better ingredients, I'm just prepping most my own food.

I think one can forgo the dodgy powder, make a butter sauce (butter, flour, a bit of salt and water, perhaps with some garlic) and and a little bit of cheese that you grade. Or maybe it can be saved by boiling the macaroni in the sauce. In both cases, it'll still be a rather bad product, but I think a single pot-casserole would't be overcooked, and it'll probably be more convenient.
Mac and cheese, I prefer it with a caulifour soup as the main thickner, and it's easier to conserve that way.

laughing hard... Yeah, that stuff, even the organic version, is tasty. Once in a blue moon, we get a box of the organic version. Why when I can do better? No clue. Anyway... Get a good sharp cheddar & shred it. Make a béchamel using cream, *heavy* cream is the best. (Yeah, the kind for making whipped cream.) You can go with half whole milk & cream, too... As soon as the béchamel is thickened to your liking, stir in a good 2 to 2-1/2 cups of the shredded cheese, stirring to melt & blend. Add pasta & mix. And pepper. It goes very well with pepper. ;D I like using penne or the little shells (my favorite shape as a child) for the pasta. They both seems to fill with the cheese sauce. It does not taste like the boxed stuff, it tastes better, but without the chemicals (which is probably why it is addictive). That is my way of making quick American macaroni & cheese. We do not have it often, but it is quick to make if you have "one of those days".
