For every fellow muslim saying "wow it is so similar". Yes, because the torah and the entire tanakh are from Allah and they're not corrupted or changed and still is the word of God. Like we cant now have more then 4 wifes, but as we know Sulaiman a.s. had more then 4. And more funny details that we have similar hadithes with jews about Ismail. But jews telling us that son of Ibrahim is idol worshiper, this is nonsent. How can it possible when jews believes that he is one of the prophets. They do whatever helps them keep their control and rule. They acted and talked as revolutionaries in the past and now they are itching to load off the Palestinian cause and are racing each others to establish ties with Israel. But, the Palestinian issue is a real problem, and it’s hard for a Muslim to ignore the injustice against them no matter how much we want to reconnect and live in peace with our Jewish brothers. I hope a just solution is found soon so that both people may live in peace again, whether in one country or two. We need more reasonable people like in this video.

Weyard Wiz the Talmud is not part of the 5 books of Moses. The reason we as Jews write G-d is because we don't want to spell out His Name out of respect we have for His name. For example, in case someone is reading my text in bathroom so that G-d's name does not get desecrated. Or when you turn your screen off, and my text gets erased, so that G-d's name does not get desecrated. We have a commandment in the Torah that we are not allowed to erase G-d's name. Although this name is only in English but still we try to be careful.

Another similarity is that Hebrew has got the dotting and vowels as an update to the language in the same way Arabic had that same update to solve the same problem. I guess it shows that at this point in history there were positive interactions and cultural exchange between them

Some commentators think the "hu" here refers to the scriptures, and some think it refers to the Prophet (pbuh). @Sam Olion : Believing in one God is not a superficial similarity. You realise that the Jews are the Banu Israil, right? They try to follow the teachings of Moses (pbuh) as they understand them, according to what they have preserved of the Torah (what we call the Taurat). Our religion (Islam) is similar to theirs in most respects.

I am a Muslim and I live in the UK near London. I do not eat meat in general. But if I DO I would often look for Kosher deli in London to eat meat because the Jewish Kosher regulations is more closely observed than the Muslim Halal meat regulation. I've often seen food shops and they say Halal on the front, but there are no official certification from the Halal board. So I have doubts on such food establishments. So kudos to the Jewish community on this front! 👍👍
There is no a single unequivocal verse in Quran to do pilgrimage to Mecca. There are directions for the old house of Bakka which are translated as Mecca. But Quran mentions Mecca only once in Quran

Al-Baqara 2: Verse 133) تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ ۖ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُمْ مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُسْئَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ "That was a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do." (QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 134) وَقَالُوا كُونُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصٰرٰى تَهْتَدُوا ۗ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرٰهِـۧمَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ "They say, Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided. Aslam-O-Alaikum. Brother as you mentioned about circumcision of boys on the 8th day in Judaism. Quran also prefers on the 8th day, but its not mandatory on the 8th day in Islam. We can perform it later too. Even in some areas people circumcise their boys, when they are of many years old. But the prefered way is on 8th day also in Islam.
Bro we are all sons of Adam and Abraham. With my understanding i believe Jews christians and muslims are cousins to each other, So basically we are all same but even before that we are humans which is our first relationship. Like we cant now have more then 4 wifes, but as we know Sulaiman a.s. had more then 4.

As a Muslim I had a very negative impression about Judaism. But after listening to some of your lectures I have a respect towards it. Because we have so many things in common. But I must say it is the politicians who are making us enemies of each other.

But, the Palestinian issue is a real problem, and it’s hard for a Muslim to ignore the injustice against them no matter how much we want to reconnect and live in peace with our Jewish brothers. I hope a just solution is found soon so that both people may live in peace again, whether in one country or two. We need more reasonable people like in this video.

The reason we as Jews write G-d is because we don't want to spell out His Name out of respect we have for His name. For example, in case someone is reading my text in bathroom so that G-d's name does not get desecrated. Or when you turn your screen off, and my text gets erased, so that G-d's name does not get desecrated. We have a commandment in the Torah that we are not allowed to erase G-d's name. Although this name is only in English but still we try to be careful.

They try to follow the teachings of Moses (pbuh) as they understand them, according to what they have preserved of the Torah (what we call the Taurat). what i want to say, is that all the prophet are descendant of abraham, and each religion mentions the prophet of the early religions,
while they also mentioned the last messenger. as a christian monk recognized prophet mohamed when he was a child before the revelation, and ordered his uncle to hide him and protect him otherwise he will be killed , if other people discover him.
when muhammed was born a star was shining that the Jews (of i'm not wrong) ,those of Khawbar ( now El Madina) knew that Muhammed was born.
however, books have changed due to the influence of other empires , and due to the translations... that's why muhammed doesn't appear to be mentioned in new versions.
to give an idea how much the bible were altered and changed, the trinity were added just few centuries back. and it doesn't appear in old versions.

As for the circumcision the Muslim child is circumcised after the seventh day or so, the new born hair must be cut off but the detail of how old Allah knows Best but the weight of the child's hair must be given in gold as this is the tradition of our prophet Muhammad.

Thank you for your effort explaining about the similarities between Islam and Judaism but I have a little comment about when we Muslims mention any messenger or Prophet we have to say Peace be upon him because no Muslim is considered a Muslim unless he believes in all Prophets however when you mentioned Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) several times you only mentioned PBUH to Moses and Isa Peace be upon them all ,, so does Judaism don't believe in Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) ?

I am a Muslim and I live in the UK near London. I do not eat meat in general. But if I DO I would often look for Kosher deli in London to eat meat because the Jewish Kosher regulations is more closely observed than the Muslim Halal meat regulation. I've often seen food shops and they say Halal on the front, but there are no official certification from the Halal board. So I have doubts on such food establishments. So kudos to the Jewish community on this front! 👍👍
There is no a single unequivocal verse in Quran to do pilgrimage to Mecca. There are directions for the old house of Bakka which are translated as Mecca. But Quran mentions Mecca only once in Quran

أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِى قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ إِلٰهَكَ وَإِلٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبْرٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسْمٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحٰقَ إِلٰهًا وٰحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ
"Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, What will you worship after me? They said, We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ ۖ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُمْ مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُسْئَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
"That was a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do."
(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 134)
وَقَالُوا كُونُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصٰرٰى تَهْتَدُوا ۗ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرٰهِـۧمَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
"They say, Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided. Say, Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists."

"Say, [O believers], We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

. Jesus Christ of Christianity and iyssya ibn Maryam of Muslims is not the same . Life of both are different from each other . Life of Mother of Jesus was A Married woman , through Christian Sources . Life of Mother of Íyssya was A unmarried woman , through Muslim Sources .

Aslam-O-Alaikum. Brother as you mentioned about circumcision of boys on the 8th day in Judaism. Quran also prefers on the 8th day, but its not mandatory on the 8th day in Islam. We can perform it later too. Even in some areas people circumcise their boys, when they are of many years old. But the prefered way is on 8th day also in Islam.

With my understanding i believe Jews christians and muslims are cousins to each other, So basically we are all same but even before that we are humans which is our first relationship. May God educate us to that level that we could properly interpret our religions and I’m sure one day future generations will realise that the first relationship between us is the humanity and nothing else we will all accountable to god so spread this knowledge among us that at least we have to respect each other believes despite differences.

I wouldn't say that Jews consider Islam as the number one threat. I would say that heresy and secularism is the number one threat to Judaism. However Jews and Muslims are generally hostile to each other today because of the Israeli/Arab war.
