I am a big fan of the "Murder Scene" color. I picked some up because of this video. I am also in the process of painting a lot of the Skull Pass goblins and I really liked the way yours turned out!
I’m glad that you found the video useful. The Murder scene colour is really nice. It was a hard decision between the three main colours and I would have been happy with any of them. Just working on my first test models and I'm really pleased with how they look. I tried a variant on one. I remember a Vince V video where he talked about red under green, so I tried the Army Painter Dark Red Tone on the skin instead of a black wash. It makes the skin seem more alive somehow. Just thought I'd mention it in case it was of interest.
I like to have slight differences for each unit, with an overall color theme throughout the army. You could have the pop of red on the spear and the shields as the the ‘theme’ and have all 4 colors of robes for the separate mobs.
I really like your technique here. Great way to get a lot of models on the table, relatively quickly, with very nice results. I like all the colors of cloaks- maybe mix them up.
I’ve got my old Skull Pass box. It’s still complete and I don’t think I could bring myself to paint the models at this point. I’m currently doing a Dwarf army and I’m not going with one specific color scheme. The two base colors are blue and green but I’m using different shades and moving the colors around. As in some have blue sleeves and others green. So I’d mix up your colors, even in the same unit. As someone else said, I’m not sure these cloaks were made in a factory in Taiwan. There was probably a lot of variation in the dyes used.
I think Tyrion Navy but I would try a little watered down to help with the highlights or maybe with a little drybrush of a medium blue on the cowl/shoulders to give it a little pop. I know when you are painting 100 goblins you dont want to do extra stages but just a little more might go a long way.

For me the blue one should have the best effect as a big block of these guys, second is the burgundy. However going for the grayish one and having the lords and heroes in one of those alternate colors is what I probably would do. Im still not set on what color scheme I want mine, wich is a big reason for my inaction ^^
All look good, I think my favourite is Burnt Moss, though I did wonder if you could just continue to use all 4 and have a rag-tag look to the force with mixed colours in the units?

In the end I think I'm going with the navy blue and I will paint the boss murder scene. I get what you say about separating the cloaks and the hoods also and that would also be a very valid option.

When I started I thought I wouldn’t like any of the colours except the black. The black ended up being the fourth favourite of all four. I went with the Tyrian navy in the end, definitely a nice colour and very suitable for night goblins I think

@@DecrepitGaming sorry the blue was for the night gobo cloaks, I then realised i was a month late with my vote 🤦😂 but red squigs would be awesome, or a colour that would go with the Tyrion Blue cloaks of the army. I'm terrible with colours that's why I copy other people's hard work 😊😂
The burnt moss or tyrion navy look good, maybe a mix of them in a unit or if you have more than 1 unit, do 1 in 1 colour and the other in the other colour
Night Goblins. Eeeew! Personal preference about the army aside, nice video again. I like how you always go by this in easy to follow steps, and the techniques can be used on any other army that does suit personal style and preference. As far as the color scheme, I tend to gravitate towards the Tyrion Navy. It screams "night" without being all black. Interestingly, the green could hint at Nurgle, the reddish brown for Khorne, the blue for Tzeentch.... Just quite black, and go for pinks and purples for Slaanesh. ;-)

'Murder scene' and 'tyrion navy' robes look more visually interesting, in my opinion. P. S. For better results with yellow it is optimal to use bright ivory (warm off-white) as an undercoat. Most miniature pant brands have a mediocre white with a lot of blue in it.

For me it is murder scene. Love that purple tone. But I can very well understand why you are undecided. I'm a big fan of painting armies uniformly. In this case, you could paint the goblins “colorfully.” It cannot be assumed that their cloth dyers could tell the 50 shades of black apart or care about it. After all, they are goblins, aren't they?
The idea has crossed my mind to either mix up the colours of do units of different colours using the theory that different gobos from different tribes come together for a big waghhhh! Thank you for giving me more to think about
Great video. Me personally, I'd go Burnt Moss for most of your band, with maybe the Murder Scene as a leader? I'm getting a cult vibe from these minis. If you used them for that, maybe they ALL could be Murder Scene? 😃😃😃😃
One of the things I learned commenting on paint jobs by folk such as your self is that the colour palette is irrelevant in as much as colours reflect personal taste unless you are going for the lore of the models. A point you make in your presentation. The two things I would say where you missed an opportunity are, the one goblin has a cowl over the top of another robe and perhaps you could have coloured that differently for effect. Hardly a killer point though. They second thing I would have done, is "Two thin coats" of the yellow on the moon face on the shield. I thought as they were they looked a little underdone. Now I get that the whole thing was a speed paint job, but may I suggest the use of some grey over the white prior to blocking in the main colours. It just helps a bit more with the shading of the cloaks. Cheers for the vid
All valid points. The shields yellow moon face does look very 'washed out' when I am batch painting an entire unit I may find a more suitable yellow that covers well in one coat. The whole idea is to show what can be done with minimal effort and time. The skills required can be learned by anyone that tries. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a constructive comment.

I think all four look good so I had mixed them. But I'd probably also separate the cloak and hood on some of them to create even more variety.

The green did strike me as nurgly when i saw it dry. Your giving me ideas for a future daemon army, stop it lol

Yeah they’re a bit big, but you do what you gotta do. To be fair to geedub most stuff is better on the bigger bases
