There is a point where a company becomes so large that they are unable to manage their management. The unqualified managers can make life miserable for the associates.
I completely understand your statement. You say "unable", I say unwilling. The billionaire owner could IF she were willing to care enough to make sure that all of the employees/staff were treated & respected well. Not just Walmart but most large companies & businesses really don't care. Die or quit, you're instantly replaced. I understand business must go on but what helps business to succeed is 50% products & people & products don't just sell themselves alone. * Especially entry level, front line employees are always told to never ever speak to news reporters or anyone seeking information. Although, from the ground up, us gatekeepers are great assets. We're honest, not faking about what's really going on & what improvements are needed to increase profits. I hope this young lady becomes a successful entrepreneur!!
Federal law in the United States requires that federal government agencies and employers receiving federal funding cannot discriminate in hiring against a prospective employee with epilepsy unless the duties one would be performing can be unsafe with a seizure disorder.
The maintenance man at my hometown Walmart was about a year from retirement. He had health issues and missed a lot of work and they told him if he missed anymore work they would fire him. He had a heart attack AT WORK. An ambulance came and took him to the hospital where they took him in for emergency heart surgery. They fired him the next day. No retirement. No pension. They fought him on workmans comp because they said it pre-existing.
Yeah it’s massive, huge corporations that all do this. Employees are just drones, replaceable and unimportant. With these lockdowns, those big companies will be our only choice. That’s the plan tho.
I stand with her on this one. Working at Walmart/SamsClub is like reliving high school again. A lot of gossiping, pushing around, different groups of workers, and all these other things. Bunch of immature and lazy employees who think their so entitle and better than the other. They have very poor management and don’t take things seriously especially when it comes to their employees. They take advantage of their hard workers and make their hard workers work harder while they let the lazy non hardworking employees stand around and continue doing a slacky job. I was harassed to the point where another employee purposely hit my leg and bruised it with a pizza pan and was pushed around since I started working there and they did nothing about it! Even when I got framed cause someone put my name on one of the tip jar saying it belongs to me and that could’ve cost me my job they didn’t do nothing about it even though they were getting all on me about it smh they act like it’s so hard to look in the security camera to see who had done it and so they can be held accountable smfh. Worst part was, I had a seizure at work and one of the manager didn’t let me go home unless I used my pto or take a point ridiculous! It’s a life threatening medical condition I shouldn’t have to use any of those smfh. Action needs to be taken by us employees who are treated unfairly so they can change their ways.
Yep, I've been told at a job that we are all replaceable. That was at a nursing home where we were told to close our eyes to the neglect of alzheimer patients.
how is going on the loud speaker and being VULGAR in a family store something to be proud of? there is a professional way to deal with it. dont applaud her lashing out at people instead of handling things like an adult. And good luck to her ever be taken seriously in a future job. this is not behavior to praise.
This is NOT an example of 1st Amendment rights. The constitution and 1st Amendment is related to Freedom of Speech and the Government. The Government cannot quell free speech. Your employer, businesses, amusement parks etc. can put rules in place that prohibit certain speech and that is their right. The Constitution refers to Government actions.
@@jessicahebert6944 the people around her were vulgar towards her. And what happens when the professional way doesn’t work? People need to be in her shoes to understand what she was going thru.
@@jessicahebert6944 how do you expect her to be conservative and nice while quitting her living because of some co-workers around her daily in the workplace which is the family store, being VULGAR themselves, creating a mentally damaging environment to their own associates?? Imagine how they treat their customers?? The turnover rate in the company is insanely high, it doesn’t matter the way she chose to take her rights, it’s more of the message and the wake-up call she showed to almost everyone here and there! She earned nothing but HER RIGHTS after what she did. Did you think it would still be caught on the news and Walmart would’ve reacted if it was a bit less serious and vocal? No. At the end of the day, she did this for not only herself, but the other young employees, female employees and employees of color.
😳🤨😩Did you say you did 10 years like it was a prison sentence you served 🤣🤣🤣. I know it’s not funny but it made me laugh. I pray you never have to go back to Walmart either
Same, was 16 when I started did so for 10 years. Worked my way up but in the end the overall stress, managers are never happy, rude all around I'm happy I left too.
I’ve been with Walmart along time I can’t wait to retire with the company. I have 5 years left. I’ll be 39. I’ll have over my 20 years in and I’m out. It’s definitely a lot rougher now then when I started.
I can believe it , home depot isn't much better my friend works there and she said they tell you that you are replaceable too, big corporations always treat their employees like shit ,this is why I am self employed and I love it
Things could of ended a lot worst when someone feels disrespected at a job and no one wants to intervene!!! so they better be happy that’s all that happen!!!
Yep, when I worked as a cashier at Walmart, one of the younger guys tried to run over a manager with his car. Walmart higher ups treat employees horrible! And you work 6 days a week, and can't get 40 hours. I would get 34 hours. Also the schedules are done every 2 weeks with no thought that you had to work untill 11:00 pm, then scheduled to be back in at 6-7:00 am that next day. That's why they have such a turn around. Especially the seasonal hires.
@@grama9094 I use to work there as a cashier too.I agree with you about the work environment. Shift scheduling was ridiculous. I would always have shifts where I would close and have to be there first thing early in the morning.😵 I learned that I want a job with set days/hours if possible.
I did. I felt so bad of how bad they treat some of them. Literally breaking our backs is not worth the pay. For being the biggest corporate store, they should be investing in their employees and quality of service.
@@justiceguyton6546 WalMart has really good benefits and growth opportunity. They do pay pretty good these days . Issue is you're not wrong either, I was manager for 5 years , left for 5 years and just recently got back at my old store. As corona killed of my vendor/merchandising job at the company I was. I do make more now at Walmart, but the entire corporate culture, structure is based on volume. Not skills,or people as it used to be when Sam Walton had it still. Managers are grossly incompetent, lack the ability to communicate in a proper manner. Aka complete miserable assholes. Not matter how well a associate performs or doesn't . Moral is at a all-time low because of such lack of management professionalism. The talk to adult workers like they are children at times . It's laughable and sad at the same time. I am still looking for a better job. Asoon as I land something with similar pay and benefits. I am putting in my two weeks (again as I did 5 years ago)
Every associate from Walmart praises her. She's ballzy and told the truth. Walmart better change the way they treat their associates, or they'll be seeing a lot more of this.
Yeah I work for Walmart and I can validate all negative comments towards the company. Definitely one of the worst companies in America to work for. They don't care about their employees at all
I’ve heard horrible horrible stories about how Walmart’s treat their employees, one employee in Texas wasn’t feeling well and asked to leave and they told him if he left that he wouldn’t have a job, well he didn’t want to lose his job and kept working till he had his heart attack and this is just one story there are many more.
My frienda husband was dying of cancer after having 80% of his large intestine removed leaving him with only 3 ft of intestines. He wanted to die at home so he could be near to his children and Grandson. She requested off work and was told of she took it off not to come back!!! She told them to wad that job up into a tight little ball and stick it straight up their butt!! Her husband of 32 years died 3 days later - What a TERRIBLE, horrible company to work for. I was also in our local Walmart when I heard two employees who were blocking an aisle to gossip and trash talk elderly people shopping there... It made my blood BOIL to rhe point I looked at the woman employee talking very loudly to the other one about how she can't stand old, slow people and how she wished they'd all die and I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around and said to her, " you mean the same way Shoppers who hear your hate and disdain your seething wish they could beat your ass!!" And I made sure I said it VERY loudly and a manager who happened to be a cpl aisles over came to see what was going on and I told that manager exactly what was said right in front of both of them and told her I wanted to file a complaint against her for showing pure hate for rhe very people that make it possible for her have a job there. I cannot stomach someone with so much hate for our Parents and Grandparents!!!
There was a new story a few years ago about some Walmart workers were LOCKED into the store at night. If my memory is right one of the workers became seriously ill but he and the others were trapped in the building.
The store I worked at was refusing to let employees go take a restroom break because they said some associates were taking to long. There was an old lady that go sent to the hospital with fecal impaction. She filed charges
My son works graveyard stocking for Walmart and he just came to me and told me, the manager told him if he misses one more day, he's losing his job. He's missed 4days in a year and two of those was after they made him to get the vaccine and he got sick for a few days. Then they held it against him. He used his own personal days for the days he missed. He's always called ahead of time. He's one of the hardest workers and that's how he's treated. He had a stomach bug last week and had to go to work. They don't care if their employees are sick and spreading the germs. I know so many other things about these managers, it's disgusting.
It's really sad because when Sam Walton was alive, he treated his employees just like family! He didn't want to take his company globally and he only wanted products that were made in America! This is what happens when his kids turned greedy!

I myself was a Walmart employee back in 2003. I worked there almost 3 long miserable years. Also putting up with mistreatment, physical and racial abuse by not just some CMC's, and managements, but also by some employees themselves. When i finally had had enough and reported it, not once but twice. But went ignored and not a single one of them were fired. But instead moved to a different shift. Things got worse. I was being physically attacked in break rooms by some of those employees , and coworkers that were friends with management or emploees that were in the wrong. I WOULD NEVER recommend Walmart to my worst enemy.
Amanda...I haven't heard that in along time..WallyWorld?Haha lol my lil brother when he was like 5yrs old he use to call it Hail-Mart😄😂😂 he's 17 now I still joke about it to him when we go to Walmart
I remember working for Walmart back in in 2011 for about 1 year as an Overnight Stocker, the demand to get product out on the shelves and expectations for beyond fair for the pay and the treatment. I remember quitting due to my teammate messing around and texting on his phone all night and I got in trouble with him due to since "we was a group" treatment. Funny part was they had cameras and the assistant manager knew it wasn't me fucking around but the other dude and have the nerve to tell me that someone has to take the blame for it so I got written up. After I left the store manager got fired also for not doing his job. Shitty environment work place.
I worked for Walmart for 4 years, that was the most toxic work environment I have ever worked for. I dealt with people making rumors about me, managers/ coworker coming onto me sexually , and a lot of other BS that it would take me too long to type. I stayed so long because didn’t know my worth that I could find a better job at the time. I eventually came to my senses, went back to school and graduated with honors. I quit Walmart cold turkey and never stepped foot in another Walmart after that.
She spoke the absolute truth...I worked for Walmart for a long time and I have experienced and know many who have experienced everything she stated in her video. When you try to report it, it gets covered up. Or you will be the subject of retaliation for speaking up.
This happens all across America, walmart sux. I am diabetic, had to go get something for low sugar, my manager told me I had to be diabetic on my own time to get back to work
She stood up for herself and other people lets not forget she did it for more than one reason thank God we have people like this in the world that have a backbone and will stand boldly for the right things in this world she has morals and looks out for others

The employees aren't no treat either. I bet this girl spent half the day glancing at her cell phone instead of actually helping customers or stocking shelves. All this younger generation knows how to do is complain and tell everyone else how to run their business. Yet, none of them have any work ethic of any kind. You can walk into any retail establishment and see workers avoiding eye contact, looking at their cell phones, or playing music. It's a disgrace for those of us who worked these types of jobs 20 years ago. They all have one speed too, slow.
When I worked at Walmart, co-workers accused me of murdering children because I served in Afghanistan. That's not why I quit though. I quit because it was a shit job.
People did that a lot to those who served in Viet Nam. I was discharged after 8 years of service and to my astonishment was snickered at (behind my back) when I showed my patriotism. That all changed after 9/11...then I heard over and over "thank you for your service". I took all that with a grain of salt. People are sometimes ignorant and often fickle and, as far as I'm concerned they can stick their negative comments where the sun don't shine and they can save the positive ones for someone who needs them more than I do. I'm proud of my service. It doesn't sound like many were proud of working for Walmart!

Yeah, I know people who work/worked for Walmart have the same thing done to them. But sadly Walmart isn't different from any other place... Management just doesn't care about ANYONE but themselves
@Dante Stackz Lol actually there is now for the FEDERAL unemployment you can say you quit because of covid and they pay you especially if you were there for a while.
@Dante Stackz actually, she said she loved it when she first started because she was working with her friends and it was probably her first job...I have loved a job in the beginning and ended up hating it and quiting because of a supervisory change. Thank you for having the guts to do this. I was a vendor and worked in 10 different Walmart stores. Most managers are like this. They are also mean to vendors. Also the employees treated us like crap. I was cussed at, lied to and lied about to managers. I hate Walmart. Alter 10 years I quit. I was always stressed out and upset. Walmart is the worst company to work for. 🤬😡
Couldn't agree with you more. We were "taught" to make it difficult as possible for you to reach your back stock as we could. Putting it up in the racks.. buried so it would take even longer for you to get your products that "we" were responsible for getting down.
I have heard some if the same things about other Wal-Mart's and the one where I live too. Just about every job that you work for this day in time is disrespectful and don't care about their employees and they don't pay you enough especially if you are a hard worker and a good employee it goes unnotice. I hope this young lady find something better and be treated better. God speed.
It’s high time people speak up for mistreatment in different companies. I bet if a lot of employees WALKED OUT, they would feel it, in their wallets, speaking of the OWNERS. We as people need to hit them, where it hurt, as I said before, their WALLETS.
I worked at Sodexo where they’re located in some hospitals in most states or countries. I’ve seen so many people especially the lazy ones who call off all the time, don’t show up, so many complaints about them and they’ve never gotten a write up or terminated. They would get a slap on the wrist. Hard workers like me who have been forced to cover people because management would guilt trip me or say “next time you ask for a day off you’re never going to get it anymore” come in on their day off, work over time, stay late, come in and last minute “we have to move you because he didn’t show up” would get unnoticed and would never get a raise. I was suspended for being exposed to chicken pox and I was not informed of having a vaccination card for proof so they suspended me for a week. The point is you work very hard at your job and you get treated like shit while lazy people get a slap on the wrist

Ashlee Tyler As a “white woman” I actually like the natura l dense hair they have and wish I had it. I think it’s cool. If it’s natural....it’s natural. But then I don’t shave my legs because I itch for days....or bleed every time. I have scared men with my leg hair! So I don’t judge on the hair.
Well I wonder how they will feel about the Son of God Jesus then who had the same type of hair. God must like that hair since all of his prophets had hair like that. Boom
I have an elderly relative that works at Walmart and they treat her horribly. The managers allow the customers to disrespect the employees on top of the disrespect they also dish out. It has affected her mentally and physically but feels she has no choice bc no other company will hire her at her age. It breaks my heart to hear the horrific stories she tells me.
The customers treated my white cousins horribly. One worked in customer service (returned/broken). The customers were allowed to return anything even well beyond Walmart's policies. Another elderly cousin worked in the back. She had to move heavy items to high shelves via a ladder or such. Though they worked at different Walmarts at different times they were treated like crap by managers. The managers let the customers disrespect my cousins.
It's a shame for it being one of the biggest corporations to have such low standards. Target is high class compared to them. It's a totally different environment offering most of the same things. Customers would expect that but employees shouldn't still be slaved. They are rich as can be. Why not invest in the quality of their stores and give back to employees that made this all happen.

So does Nursing.

He used his own personal days for the days he missed. He's always called ahead of time. He's one of the hardest workers and that's how he's treated. I'm not at all surprised that this young lady quit this way. She obviously got tired if all the BS and harrassment. Sound like this is ground for a law suite. I have heard bad things about Walmart. If Walmart gets their merchandise from the sweatshops overseas and pay these workers a few cents for their hard work I'm not surprised to hear how bad they treat the employees in America.
I've seen how unhappy the employees are at my local Walmart.
I wish her the best and she deserves respect for being so brave
Brave.....
Being Self employed is the best thing you can be. Having to live up to someone else’s standards and rules, is very depressing.
Good luck ever making decent money, woman. Didnt your dad teach you better?
NO NO
@Will 86 who gives af. Self freedom and having your own set schedule is something that most people should strive to get to. Forget being a slave to corporate companies.
Walmart is horrible! I was sexually harassed there! When I told them about it I lost my job. I had worked there 13 years.
Walmart does not care about their employees. I heard them tell an employee who had cancer she had to choose between keeping her job or cancer treatments.
😮🤔
Oh my I hate to here that about what they did to her, but Walmart has been good to me and I did not take any non respect towards me, but did not have to encounter that but two times and I did not take it then. I am a praying person and my God INTERVENE. I have been there for 23 years and had to retire at the age 55 now 56, because of stage lV breast cancer and still getting help from Walmart. I Thank God every day.
That's fucking cold.
Yeah, I know people who work/worked for Walmart have the same thing done to them.
But sadly Walmart isn't different from any other place... Management just doesn't care about ANYONE but themselves
How can they legally fire her? She could sue them?
But it’s the managers talking about “who hurt this girl” like babes... you’re still working at Walmart when she moved on...
Bit classist but I get what your trying to say
Lmao yeah she moved on... to the unemployment office 😭😂
While I didn't have to go this route I did take steps that led to a higher up who should never have been hired getting fired...
@Dante Stackz There is if you can prove cause, meaning you had a justifiable reason to quit...
Corporate is worse than that .
If I was a manager of a Walmart, I would never let this happen. We are all family and us all work together. I would secretly have a recorder taped l( voice only). to my body to record any scum bag manager or employee. This way I will have proof and report to corporate.
Mr. Walmart would be turning in his grave if he found out how communist his company has become.
True statement there
@Jo Johnson Walton?
San walton/ sams club
His name is Sam..
His name is Sam Walton
I appreciate her speaking up and calling Walmart out but something like this could make a job search difficult. I hope everything works out for her.
Yea that was my first thought. Especially if she's a good person that let her emotions get the better of her. Tiktok was bad enough but now she's on the news and youtube. He name will be picked up internationally on search results.
@@eon001 Yeah like something like this can haunt you. Lets hope she finds work at a place that's okay with all this.
@Lee Birdie Exactly.
@Eye’m ONaBoat What kind of business can someone start?
So just quietly be a victim? She will be just fine the likelyhood of her complaining to Walmart and nothing happening may be what lead to this. She can work for herself now.
A toxic work environment from corporate America? Tell me it isn't so!
Everywhere I've worked say that I'm a good worker but at walmart I couldn't work hard enough.
So true they listen to you when your fed up and get nasty about it, but when you go in to talk to them they brush you off. GIRL NOT MAD AT YOU AT ALL
I believe every word she said. I had that same experience. Wish I had more coworkers like her
hi. are you interested in getting together to form a class action lawsuit against Wallyworld? class action lawsuit is when a bunch of people who were all victims get together to take legal action.
I work at Walmart and it suck’s you get treated shit there
I like to shop at Walmart, but the employees are the worst, as soon as they see a customer they walk away fast they don't want you to ask them Nothing and if you finally do catch one they look at you like leave me alone always mad ugh
Lol some I do I don't mind helping people its my job and it makes time go faster depends on walmart you go to ,some ghetto asf we have to wipe registers after every customer imagine that some don't!
Walmart told my AFRICAN AMERICAN FRIEND that her natural hair was UNPROFESSIONAL and she needs to STRAIGHTEN IT...I told her to get a lawyer but she ended up quitting
oh sure I bet
I don’t believe that because you have all walks of life working at Walmart. If they pick on one person they would have to say something to everyone that works there. Ive seen some strange people working and shopping there. It’s a place for freaky people I guess, lol.
@@nicolefl.9119 bully’s don’t pick on everyone. Just people they feel they can intimidate.
Ashlee Tyler
As a “white woman” I actually like the natura l dense hair they have and wish I had it.
Yup management never does anything until something serious happens then they do it.
Most Companies have toxic environments and pay little and have you do double the work
It's a shame for it being one of the biggest corporations to have such low standards. Target is high class compared to them. It's a totally different environment offering most of the same things. Customers would expect that but employees shouldn't still be slaved. They are rich as can be. Why not invest in the quality of their stores and give back to employees that made this all happen.
I was hired to drive a truck in 2019
My boss kept asking me to pick up his lunch in between dump runs. I spoke up he wasn't happy about it. A couple weeks went by he calls me on the radio telling me to pick him up some McDonald's.
I never answered the radio. I got back to the office with an additude he asked me if there was something wrong with my radio I said no handed him the keys to the truck gave him the finger and told him to fu#$ off
@@whyme3904 and beat his ass
Ignorant people with no class create grief for others, even at low-paying jobs.
I worked at walmart for 8 days only whenever i go there to shop I feel sorry for everyone who work at walmart
My son lasted two weeks, lol.
@@Kasarija my bro first day he was getting bitched at by the overnight supervisor, after two weeks of that he quit. No need for the disrespect on your first few days when youre learning but instead get scolded
Usually when you're mad at everyone around you at a job the problem is likely you.
More people should quit their jobs this way. Good for you, young lady!
This is the truth. People should not shop there either.
The sad part is she is right! Do u think they would really “look into it” if she hadn’t had done such a drastic thing!?? And whoever wrote that statement came from somewhere on “top” and I doubt they would have even heard about this if she reported it to another racist or sexist manager!
its has to be made public walmart covers up everything
This girl did or said nothing wrong walmart doesnt care about the employees feelings at all
The supply chain is worse, they expect 100% productivity, but if you stop to breathe for at least 5 seconds, it drops 5% and you try to pick back up you only gain a fraction of .2%, its rigged for failure, management cracks the whip on you, and rains down bogus accountabilities on your "matrix" they tell you to turn in down time at the shipping desk, but they never put it in, they rained down bogus occurrences and accountabilities on you, but if you need something from them you have to jump through hoops! Anyone who loves the Walmart job, go ahead and keep drinking the Kool-Aid
Yup they be nice to you during your interview and orientation, but as soon as you work there longer and longer they start to not give a sh*t about your presence! I'm still working there and I kid you not I can not wait until God lead me on out of there lol!✌🏾
May God's mercy find something else for you to work at that you'll enjoy for years!
@@noneofyourbusiness2281 I've been in banking for almost 20 years and it's a sad story...I wish I wouldn't have wasted my life for the past 2 decades.
