She's going to be made playable, together with Cor, Iris and Luna. So fuck Noctis, I just want to jump around with that wicked thing she calls a lance. And hopefully Luna adds white magic, damn this game needs real magic...
Honestly I can't see how Square was so surprised people shipped Noctis with his friends way more than Luna when Luna was in the game for like 3 minutes. You gotta put effort into writing couples for people to LIKE the couples, guys.
I finally played the game, and I looked up this video so I could come back to it and upvote this comment. If there is a character less in love with Luna in that game THAN Noctis, I will eat my hat. I don't think he ever expresses actual romantic interest in her. Prompto says she's pretty. Gladio or Ignis brings up that Noct cares about her. The world at large seems to love her. Noctis is way more interested in rainbow trout and bluegills. Noctis is more interested in hotel rooms than he is in Luna. And their last scene together is so hilariously unearned and out of place with the rest of the game that I was more upset about it than any OTHER part of the ending. And heck, they outright CALL it an arranged marriage and Noctis expresses that he doesn't want to "Rush to Happily Ever After." Dude doesn't want to marry Luna at ALL, and nothing is every shown to give a reason for him changing his opinion.
Really? What I got from Kingsglaive was that their wedding was strictly political. The anime on the other hand made it seem like they at least knew each other somewhat.

I've literally just watched another video talking about how Luna's content got cut because of stereotype, feminism or something. Hope episode luna next year is good.
I only played this FF after Kingdom Hearts 3, so, this phrase is the new "This might be a good spot to find some ingridients" to me n' I can't take it any longer, I'm about to go crazy
Oh. Did you guys know that the Nissin Cup noodles company is located pretty close to the Square Enix building? Furthermore Nissin would actually deliver cup noodles to the exhausted game makers of Square occasionally. So... it made perfect sense to give Nissin a little bit of advertising, you know?
The not-knowing like to insult the ones that know, to make themselves feel better about not-knowing. Eventhough deep down they do know that knowing is better than not-knowing.
I never really grew fond of Luna, but that may just be because I really wanted Stella instead. So she basically had minus points with me from the start because she replaced Stella
Yo, no lie. The food textures were fucking amazing. If I had a quarter for every time this game made me stop paying and go get something to eat, I'd have at least...like...3 dollars.
@@TheReZisTLust I found that I really liked ramen years after the I played the game, only now do I realise that my preferred brand is the one from the game. Advertising is horribly insidious... But that brand really does make fantastic ramen.
I actually loved the whole "it's the real world but also Final Fantasy" setting they did for this one. It reminds me of being a kid and sitting in the back seat of my parents' van while we drove through the American West for hours upon hours and I made up stories in my head about how we were actually in some mystical other world (I only had 2 games for my GameBoy and it was the mid-90s).
"... that will make you sit back and wonder, HOW AWESOME WOULD THIS THING BE, IF THEY ACTUALLY ******* FINISHED IT" (I am crying on the inside, 10 years of waiting)
This one sentence was the perfect summary of my disappointment with this game. I'm still so pissed at it that I still don't care about the DLCs and stuff (especially since they want me to pay extra money only to get the whole game without massive parts of the Story missing).
Yeah... it got even worth. Paid 120€ on release date. 2 years later, SE is like: Here have the ROYAL edition with extra content. Please pay 15€ for it and some more for the DLC's :D Last time I pre-order Final Fantasy (except FF14, cause this game delivers).
It's a secret ending. You have to beat the game in under 13 hours, play through the linear story sections while facing the camera backward, and when Lunafreya she loves you, you have to respond with the hidden option that you were 'distracted thinking about Prompto's sweet ass.'
Honestly the graphics, combat and characters save this game. Doesn't matter to me that it has all the other flaws bc those 3 things are so good the game is consistently fun
Rashotcake I agree with you so much tho. The 4 main characters, combat, world and ending save this game for me. The lines are just so quirky. Prompto's lines at the most relatable because he's a giant nerd with a soft side and while his reveal in Chapter 13 feels really forced and unexplained, I still like him as a character. Ignis's sly roasts and puns always makes me laugh. Gladio is kinda the quiet and self centered nerd who also knows how to get serious when the time comes. Noctis reminds me of my friend a lot because of the fact that he had so much trauma in his life but kept himself together throughout all that.
Noct an Luna’s relationship was so underdeveloped that I honestly figured they were getting married 100% for political reasons, and he was going to end up eloping with iris or someone.
@@hessaa1712 not really that. Originally the game was supposed to be in seperate story where you were supposed to play as Noctis and Luna but they had to curt corners. Also the orgianl ff13 trailers showed they did care about each other. even in the yozora trailer that came out last year
@@ethansolorzano5989 If I'm not mistaken, the original XIII versus luna was supposed to be not more than a illusion created by noct, also some trailers show her kinda fading away. But the game just changed its plot and they couldn't discard luna, so they created a new role for her, that's why it feels so empty and bad developed.
Yeah. Like, when he cried, I was like..., “Cuz you lost a friend, right?? Yeah, shit’s tough.” I had no idea they’d be shoehorning in romance almost as fast as Markus x North.
"If they'd actually fucking finished it" Well said. Just platinumed with all secret dungons at lv 99. So much missing. Will NG+ in a year when they've released all the dlc and have (hopefully) patched in a cohesive narrative. Until then, later chocobros.
Dylan Hopson It was good yeah, not as bad as some make it out to be, but dragged on for too long and became so boring and tedious. Potential for a great level, but horribly executed.
@@KM-uk2rt Bet you feel silly now, a whole year later, with all the dlc released, and the game is still pretty much the worst FF has to offer narratively and gameplay wise.
The story had plot holes in it. Plus half the dlcs was canceled that was suppose to explain plot holes. Also someone ruined the whole game for me....i waited 15 years for it
it wasn't at all, they met like two times as a kids briefly then the back and forth with letters from that magical puppy mail messenger they were trying to do some romeo & juilet shit but the messages that way get ruined when you see this game's world has cellphones lol
lυиα I just don't get why they have to cram in romance everywhere, I would have cared much more if it was one of his buddies. Felt like they were recreating Cloud and Aerith. But I gotta say... those haircuts damn they were over the top
they actually had a lot more planned for luna to develop her however with the new "be offended by everything craze ' they took it out so feminists (mostly) wouldn't be offended and trash their game
This is so perfectly accurate and exactly what I thought about the game. Final Fantasy XV has the potential to be one of the most amazing games with its exploration, lovable characters (dat bromace doe), world, and attention to detail. The story isn't even bad, it's just not finished. The first half slowly built for this epic - that was rushly paced in about 8 hours. I know this isn't a finished product, and if Square Enix ever decided to truly finish it, I'd gladly give them all of my money. Despite all of its flaws, it's still such a fun game to play.
Literally, like.. everyone has. If you go somewhere and don't see someone calling Noctis Sasuke, then you're not viewing something related to Final Fantasy 15. Honestly, I was getting a little worried that I wouldn't see it here, but you have solved all of my worries.
I'm with you but as long as the second and third game are mentioned as much as the first because they add so much more plus hovering is better than dropping when pressing triangle while gliding.
Honestly forgot I was traveling with my bros to get *MARRIED* because of all the open world/side quests/hunts/collecting food for ignis to make/etc... I had to be reminded 3 times to get to galdin quay lol. This trailer sure is honest lol
"You'll care about them more then the girl you're supposed to be married to" It's so true though. I barely felt anything about Luna's death in the game, but when Ignis turned around and I saw that he's blind... It actually emotionally destroyed me, even more so because I had in mind his line about him wanting his world "Crystal Clean".
blueblur02 The development pretty much started from the ground up 3 years ago. It was rushed to be released in 2016. That's why many things were left out. Hopefully we'll get the full game until the end of this year.
blueblur02 Many things were changed due to the switch of Director's, change of hardware, and the re-branding, so for 3 years since then the game has been remade from the ground up. Final Fantasy XV is different from Versus XIII, which we will never see. It's unfair to compare a game that has been made to a game that is no longer being made.
Funny thing is, while Noct looks like an emo, he's not. He's just a normal guy who can be happy, sad, angry, etc. who spends an hour every morning gelling his hair (no, that's not an exaggeration, they mention their hair gell several times) and gets teased by his mates by his lack of expressions on his face. Also, his voice actor is pretty great when he does show emotion.
It's the same as cloud. cloud is actually a pretty cheerful guy aside from a small portion of the game, but people think he's an emo loner guy because of the movie.
Ian B i dont think so, cloud is actually a quiet and soft spoken dude, its was just he was emulatijg zacks personality thats why he was more upbeat in the earlier parts of the game
Yeah, sure, but I'm not sure if this is the way it was supposed to be. I mean, in Versus XIII, we saw an edgelord Noctis, whose resemblance to Sasuke was evident. What I'm trying to say is that Nomura's vision of Noctis was, indeed, way more "emo" than Tabata's, and it was Nomura the one who came up with Noctis' original design and looks, so if it were for Tabata to design Noctis, maybe we'd have, today, a character with the personality we already know but looking way more different than Noctis
"Or you just grind your way through by spamming potion like an addict." THIS. and the lack of backstory that hit me the most. Everytime i want to go to and expedition i usually stock around 40+ potion, 5+ phoenix down, and 10+ hi potion, elixir, and other healing stuff. And it hurt my wallet.
wel they tried to blend KH game style with a morw team tatical mindset wass cuncly but was good concept and square frequently improve they progaming skills
Kinda hard to compare two games 20 years apart. FFVII was way ahead of it's time, FFXV way behind it. Even Grand Theft Auto has better gameplay and much less DLC>
This game really isn't all that bad. I feel like every FF game is just destined to be disappointing at this point. FFXV is vastly better than FFXIII, so I think that's a step in the right direction. I'd love for Square to dial it back a bit and make a game that's a bit less convoluted. Return again to the roots of the series, the way they did with FFIX. There was just so much about FFXV that was neither fantasy nor sci-fi. It was just...normal, modern day life. Plus they just threw up into the storyline expecting we were all well versed in this universe. Square is partially back on the right path, but they still have a ways to go before they'll create another true classic.
Depends what you play FF games for. If you play them expecting character development and that's what you prioritise, XIII ranks a fuck of a lot higher than XV where literally only Noctis changed AT ALL as a person and that was because he fell asleep. The writing was absolute shit, come on, if a step in the right direction is sacrificing all sense of story, character or plot tension then FF is going down the shitter faster than ever before.
+EnglishRosie Well, that is one interpretation. I will agree with you that the character development was certainly not prioritized in FFXV, and the general story itself really should have been fleshed out better IN GAME, rather than assuming you watched their shitty movies beforehand. I'm assuming a lot of this was sacrificed in reaction to the criticisms of FFXIII -- so they tried to focus more on gameplay and a less linear universe. In general, the mindless combat, the hallway-styled world, and excessive dialogue between party members were obviously MAJOR complaints about XIII. This was addressed by director Motomu Toriyama, who simply brushed off these criticisms by implying that "western audiences" didn't understand what the game was trying to be. He also claimed that telling a complex story like the one of Cocoon REQUIRED this linear approach -- that a sacrifice of open world exploration and side quests was necessary to keep the narrative correctly flowing. This avenue also clearly lead to the extensive conversations that helped develop characters like Sazh and Vanille. Two problems: 1) The FF series has already managed to do pull ALL of this off in the past without sacrificing anything. It's part of why the series became so legendary. FFVI was EXTREMELY rich in character development -- with 14 playable characters -- while also being so open ended that the second half of the game is almost entirely optional. But that never broke the flow of the narrative for a second -- it's a tremendous story. I feel the same about FFVII and IX. Both games with extremely rich characters, a driving, focused story line, and an open world full of optional quests that unfolds as you progress. 2) The characters is FFXIII suck ass. They're developed -- they're also whiny and irritating as hell. Snow and Hope and Serah can all jump off a cliff. This of course is just my opinion, but it's not an unpopular one. I'd almost prefer no character development than listen to those brats argue and banter for 30 hours. And that's what we got in FFXV! A protagonist...and some guys he's bros with who have no personalities. So yeah, that's my point. You're right, FFXV cut out some fat (character development), while adding back in a more open world. It is by no means a masterpiece. Like I said earlier, Square has already proven BEFORE that they don't need to sacrifice any of these things to make an amazing Final Fantasy. What makes it so difficult to get it right now, I have no idea. Personally, I enjoyed FFXV much more than FFXIII, even if I agree with most of what you said. I suppose by "a step in the right direction," I meant I was glad to see the "hallway" style areas go the way of the dodo. As I stated, they still have a ways to go before they're going to totally get it right again. Sorry for the novella.
tbh i hated his ass until i accidentally entered the scene where they sin in front a sign and talk about deep shit, since then i relate to him to a whole new level, i still like Gladio better though but my favorite is Ardyn.
Definitely. The player not knowing Ardyn is the final boss and having him pop up throughout the game was a stroke of genius. Showing up aiding you in your quest. Working for the empire yet constantly helping get you out of harm's way. Instead of fighting the same villain throughout the game in various forms. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop heart to heart between Prompto and Noct. I didn't have the heart to say anything negative to Prompto but I wonder what would happen. Maybe on the 3rd playthrough?
Reirichi when Prompto was abducted I literally threw everything out my window to save him, while when Luna was on Altissia I was chilling and doing all sidequests. xD
@@WastedTalent83 also not 100% true because if we want to translate his name literally from latin we'd get something like "sky of light of night" which actually makes no sense in any language on this Earth, like any other characters' name in this videogame (latin always sound good and cool to those who don't actually study it, so for the ones who do is rather fun witnessing other people making mistakes just because the pronunciation sounded edgy)
How many times have I said this: NOCTIS ISN'T BROODING! He literally just lost everything he's ever known and loved aside from his friends and his car! He's grieving, but he has to put on the guise of someone who is strong and reliable to keep everything around him from falling apart!
I actually had the opposite experience. I felt like i was slogging through the open world for most of the game and was a lot more interested in the story. I was actually happy when the game turned more linear cause it was a nice break from the bland fetch quests that the open world had me constantly doing.
the prince of insomnia going out to get some delivery for a bloke in a restaurant you hardly know so he can cook a different dish.... oh ye ill just do that real quick while my kingdom is overrun by magitek things oh wait i got to go kill some pests first for this other resteraunt owner before i do that oh then some women wants me to find her some frogs. wtf was the story again who is this blonde women?
mattkirkhamm bro first of all noctis is a baby teenager and everyone in lucius was killed or turned into a demon, including his family and his bros' families. noctis has to start somewhere and that's working at a restaurant. i think that plot point was really fucking smart.. maybe you missed it
no its fucking waste of time, and most of all boring, a game should never bore you, side quests can be done well look at the witcher 3, this game is trash, granted im only 20 hours is but it should not take more than an hour for a game to get good
I actually loved this game, the ending was fun and satisfying despite that 1 chapter right before it. Its the best ff in 3 generations, it took them so long to finally make a good one again, fuck those 13 sequels.
In my opinion, FFXV's problem is the exact opposite of the XIII trilogy. *The XIII trilogy gave us WAY too much info* that doesn't really add anything to the plot (e.g Ragnarok being responsible for 26 hour days), *while XV doesn't give us enough.*
Yeeh sure if u like no backstory at all. Dont mind main story plots being left outside the game and bosses that are just quick time events. dont mind that then sure its great...
Thought Sasuke's hairstyle was outdated 5 years ago. Yeah, he should mention it in this honest trailer. When I saw Noctis's hair for the first time, I was like "meh".
"But have so much screen time and personality you'll care about them way more than the girl you're 'supposed' to be 'in love with'!" It's so true! Many didn't give a flying heck about that cardboard box and only cared for the bromance! 8D PREACH IT, BROTHER! PREACH IT! Also I gotta say this one is the MOST HONEST game trailer ever. Because a lot of what has been said about the game is...practically what happens and is true if you think about it.
The ending linear missions are some of my favorite parts. let's face it, Witcher 3 is the only open world game that consistently had good story/filler missions.
It had the best side quests for sure, by far. But I'd say Inquisition had pretty good side quests, too (and didn't suffer from ridiculous overleveling and crazy quest crazy rewards).
Cosplay Corps Agree on Mommy and Daddy but Prompto is my cinnamon roll of a little brother. Like, I have to protect this precious being with all my might.
*SPOILERS* Who here walked into the final battle with a picture of Cindy or just something stupid like a cup of noodles. It looked so funny during the end cutscene.
William Ha I did the cup noodles (with shrimp) because I felt it had the most meaning. The guys made it before everything went worse and before altissia (how ever you spell it) I was hoping it would be a way to go back in time to make an alternate ending were you prevent certain things from happening. (I know about umbra ability, I'm not talking about temporarily changing the past I'm talking about changing the actual ending..)
DaShonna Troupe One small itsy bitsy detail though: for some inexplicable reason, the official ages I'm finding has Gladios as 23 and Ignis at 22. I call bull to the highest power on both. Noct and Prompto are 20 and look it but you see in the anime that the ages of the others just don't fit. Ignis is driving for Noctis when he's in middle school. At only two years older, Ignis would still be in school too. Plus, while very capable, I'm not seeing the king putting his son in a car with a driver in his own age group, lol. And I'm not even sure you can drive (by Japan's standards) at 14. Gladios is definitely older as well. He's clearly in his 20's when Noct is in middle school again I'm the anime or at the very least, very late teens. I personally disregard those ages as it just doesn't make any sense. So yes indeed, #DADDY, lol.
Fluffymiyster ..that info was shit. Gladious trains Noctis from when he was a small child. Ignis raised him. they both should at least be 1 and half decade older.
Red Onion Yeah, I definitely agree. I wish they'd realize the mistake and tell us the proper ages (or someone screwed up in their translation of Japanese or something...You had ONE JOB, Steve! Lol). Until further notice, I just put Iggy and Gladios in their early 30's, roughly.
This was so funny. I am glad y'all finally made one for FF XV....you forgot one thing, though... Noctus and everyone in this world have cell phones, so why does him and his fiance speak through DogPad?
Billy Rigby Lunafreya was captive of the Nifleheim empire after they attacked Tenebrae. Regis only managed to save Noctis because Luna didn't want to leave Ravus behind. It's basically just another plot point left unexplained but makes sense if you watch Kingsglaive.
It's 2024! I went through one time of FFXVI, and just felt, na I don't wanna do a second playthrough anymore... I need to play FFXV again, this one was way more fun and I actually cared so much about the characters here!!
The long car rides/really long loading are actually helping me keep to my resolution of getting back in shape. Do sit-ups and pushups every while I wait - usually to exhaustion before I get to figgen far away island resort place.
Besides 6, I would say this was my favorite FF, to me I think a lot of people gave this game shit because they blew it up SO much that it didn't live up to their bloated expectations. I thought the ending was near perfect, too many people just wants a "happy ending" nowdays.
This game is the best road trip simulator ever! First big game in this genre, and it really does it well. The setting of a boy band on a road trip as a surrogate bachelor party is very simplistic, but it works well to drive the road trip storyline. The only problem was that 2/3rds of the way through the game, the road trip was sidelined to finish the plot. But then it's back to more road trip for the end game, so it's still good in my books.
Compared to previous installments, the story was lacking quite a bit which was a disappointment. I did enjoy the battle system though. The biggest problem with the game though, is how the prince's car, broke down not even a mile away from the city you just left. Did they not get that thing checked and tuned beforehand?
Watch the beginning again mate. They explain that Hammerhead was already the destination and that they got "carried away", presumably sightseeing or doing other things as they've never really been outside Insomnia before 😊
People who say the combat is "bad" or has "no depth" have just never taken the time to learn how to fight. They run into every fight with 30-40 elixers or whatever have you and hold circle until they need to counter, heal or Phoenix down themselves. I bet most people have no idea that there are stages of attacks on every weapon that can be chained to other weapons mid combo. There are combo and guard cancels into special animation dependent even on class of weapon you are switching to and your current position in relation to your enemy. People don't pay attention to underlying status effects or the effects of weather on combat. Its sad. They go through the whole game not knowing shit, but then say the combat is bad when in actuality, they just suck at fighting. Anyways fun video. Comments section is always full of ignorant folk tho. I mean, people sitting around talking about a 10 year dev cycle that never happened.
PacManAction I really need to start making UA-cam vids on this game's combat so I could just link one and shut down your ignorance right away. I guess it sucks that its not explained well or that you don't need to learn how to fight more efficiently because the game gives the player too many crutches, but the fact remains that if you actually take the time to learn the combat system you'll be walking away from a lot more battles feeling like a badass, getting higher grades and using less (probably no) items. Meh.
SevereOutcast I played through the game getting pretty much top grades the entire time. It's a thing but all you do is just move your character to a place while holding down the button and then the game handles the rest of it for you. Even if you do it to blind strike or link strike, you just get put in animations of them doing it. The player doesn't really do much outside of that and for that reason most players don't give two shits about trying to make all those fancy things you named happen. The game tries so hard to make things smoothly combo and animate well that it mostly removes the player from the entire experience. Like sure, cool, there are combos between weapons that you can use. You know what else you can do? Hold down a button, and air dash and every single once and a while switch to another weapon mid combo until you get orange numbers. Then you're done.
We are not stupid mate. I ve seen how you take down final boss.... It can't get easier and more flat than that... Button combos and elixir constantly with no real challenge. Stop pretending that you don't see the difference from older Final Fantasies.. I mean if you have any idea about them.
I miss the days when Final Fantasy was about Fantasy. Their games have been increasingly more "modern" with cars, cell phones, and other things like that since FF7... I want Airships and Chocobos, not cars and cell phones.
Yeah, I agree that even with 10 years of development the game still looks like it wasn't finished. But it is so good anyway that even the honest trailer makes you want to play it!
TheKing From past Final Fantasy games? Yeah, they always use some of the monsters in every new game. From Kingdom Hearts? The Battle System was based on KH's but it is very different. Tabata himself said that around 25% of FFXV comes from Versus XIII, and that includes part of the characters, story and even the world. Are you saying that's not relevant?
FF XV strikes me as a step in the right direction that got completely overshadowed in different areas by the likes of Breath of the Wild, NieR Automata and Persona 5
Jaden Chan What ? NieR:Automata ? Dude... Everything in that game has a purpose and enhances the main narrative. On the other hand FFXV is full of filler BS and an unfinished last arc, please... I know it doesn't mean much, but heck ! Even this Final Fantasy fanboy here calls NieR:Automata a Masterpiece, can't recall him saying that about FFXV though: ua-cam.com/video/_EwFZrQWFVo/v-deo.html
+Jaden Chan I'm sorry, have you PLAYED Breath Of The Wild? I don't recall being able to cut every blade of grass in the game world in Unfinished Fantasy XV.
the game seems to imply he was usurped, so he was king but lost the throne, so he's a former king not 'the' king. and I'm guessing their was no ceremony to restore his monarchy so Noctis is still the legitimate heir to the throne, and i have watched way to much game of thrones

Unfortunately I didn't care about any of them.
@@noci2830 well... About that...
And heck, they outright CALL it an arranged marriage and Noctis expresses that he doesn't want to "Rush to Happily Ever After." Dude doesn't want to marry Luna at ALL, and nothing is every shown to give a reason for him changing his opinion.
thecouchwitch Ehhh i completely disagree. There are plent of moments in which you can make hims show he loves her.
Luna was a childhood friend and there was this bond between them. Can't really say it was that romantic. I actually liked Luna lol.
Really? What I got from Kingsglaive was that their wedding was strictly political. The anime on the other hand made it seem like they at least knew each other somewhat.
I've literally just watched another video talking about how Luna's content got cut because of stereotype, feminism or something. Hope episode luna next year is good.
ignis: "THAT'S IT!"
noct: "what's it?"
ignis: "I'VE COME UP WITH A NEW RECIPEHHHH!"

I only played this FF after Kingdom Hearts 3, so, this phrase is the new "This might be a good spot to find some ingridients" to me n' I can't take it any longer, I'm about to go crazy
I'm surprised they called Noctis "Dark Cloud" instead of "Sasuke Uchiha" lol
Too predictable.
LMFAO he did deadass look like Sasuke.
Izuna
I call him Sasuke more but he also looks like Tamaki from My Hero Academia :) Or Tamaki looks like Sasuke...I think that works better.

You're god damn right.
Oh. Did you guys know that the Nissin Cup noodles company is located pretty close to the Square Enix building? Furthermore Nissin would actually deliver cup noodles to the exhausted game makers of Square occasionally. So... it made perfect sense to give Nissin a little bit of advertising, you know?

just because he know about some fact????
That's......actually kind of interesting and cool

Don't forget to say invisible walls. Since they're everywhere in this game... especially the bushes, they're the ultimate kind of invisible walls.
Truth
I actually loved the whole "it's the real world but also Final Fantasy" setting they did for this one. It reminds me of being a kid and sitting in the back seat of my parents' van while we drove through the American West for hours upon hours and I made up stories in my head about how we were actually in some mystical other world (I only had 2 games for my GameBoy and it was the mid-90s).
"... that will make you sit back and wonder, HOW AWESOME WOULD THIS THING BE, IF THEY ACTUALLY ******* FINISHED IT" (I am crying on the inside, 10 years of waiting)
...and more DLC to come. I’ll join you crying.
This one sentence was the perfect summary of my disappointment with this game. I'm still so pissed at it that I still don't care about the DLCs and stuff (especially since they want me to pay extra money only to get the whole game without massive parts of the Story missing).
I just bought the game with all current dlc-s uncluded for 40 bucks... and they were pretty good! DLCs are only bad for the impatient :)
HN im gonna start playing this in a week, right after i finish witcher 3. Are the empty spaces shown at the end occupied with dlcs?
Yeah... it got even worth. Paid 120€ on release date.
2 years later, SE is like: Here have the ROYAL edition with extra content. Please pay 15€ for it and some more for the DLC's :D
Last time I pre-order Final Fantasy (except FF14, cause this game delivers).
Dude I'm almost positive the food in this game had more polygons than the entire game of Witcher 3.
Our Fantasy Life the team strived to make the food as photorealistic as possible actually, so you might be right. It’s something I read somewhere.
I'm surprised they didn't show more examples and also put it in the starring, alongside with Ignis saying "i've come up with a new recipeh"
Jeremy Polygons are still a thing, yes. We haven't yet reached the point where we can ditch polygons for raw 3D pixel-mapping.
What do you mean the entire J-pop boy band doesn't marry each other at the the end of the game!?
The Slayer Kid
100th like hell yeah!
You need to buy the DLC for that
exactly that, they dont
It's a secret ending. You have to beat the game in under 13 hours, play through the linear story sections while facing the camera backward, and when Lunafreya she loves you, you have to respond with the hidden option that you were 'distracted thinking about Prompto's sweet ass.'
@@ichijofestival2576 "Promptos sweet ass" kakskqjdis
Honestly the graphics, combat and characters save this game. Doesn't matter to me that it has all the other flaws bc those 3 things are so good the game is consistently fun
Rashotcake i dont know if you are joking or is sarcans......are you a real gamer?
Accelerator *sarcastic. And yeah I was serious
i think FFXV just a demo that shows us how Square Enix makin their game in the futures, they really need to get a good story writters
Accelerator Yup. Believe it or not, people actually have different opinions than you. I know. Crazy right!?
Yea he has more attraction with iris
Tbh I was surprised the he actually love her.. he barely talk about her :/ ... Well seem they didn't want the story to be so romantic
"If they'd actually fucking finished it"
Well said. Just platinumed with all secret dungons at lv 99. So much missing. Will NG+ in a year when they've released all the dlc and have (hopefully) patched in a cohesive narrative.

@@KM-uk2rt Bet you feel silly now, a whole year later, with all the dlc released, and the game is still pretty much the worst FF has to offer narratively and gameplay wise.

Darn you EA...er....Square Enix!
Is it just me or was luna just there for a romance that was never really developed?
lυиα Hah thats a good point there :)
valid point
it wasn't at all, they met like two times as a kids briefly
then the back and forth with letters from that magical puppy mail messenger
they were trying to do some romeo & juilet shit but the messages that way get ruined when you see this game's world has cellphones lol
lυиα I just don't get why they have to cram in romance everywhere, I would have cared much more if it was one of his buddies. Felt like they were recreating Cloud and Aerith.
But I gotta say... those haircuts damn they were over the top
they actually had a lot more planned for luna to develop her however with the new "be offended by everything craze

Lili Play FF Tactics and tell me there is no effort put into turn based combat.
Yes! I love that you noticed that guy that looks like Hurley from Lost!
I think only Noctis and Lunafreya's DLC remained, right?

Final Fantasy XV really isn't as bad as everyone says it is. It's disappointing but it is still a good game.
Joshua Channell for 10 years of hype, yea is dissapointed
Joshua Channell Sry but "disappointing but still good" is unacceptable for a game spending 10 years on the back burner.
blueblur02 The development pretty much started from the ground up 3 years ago.
They had to start development on KHIII somehow
Watersports fair point. but that doesn't really mean cloud is all mopey and emo, imo. I would say his actual personality is pretty similar to noctis'.
Well, he definitely ain't emo at the end...he's freaking badass! What ten years can do to a man lol
"Or you just grind your way through by spamming potion like an addict."
THIS. and the lack of backstory that hit me the most. Everytime i want to go to and expedition i usually stock around 40+ potion, 5+ phoenix down, and 10+ hi potion, elixir, and other healing stuff. And it hurt my wallet.
Am I the only one who loves the Final Fantasy15 combat system??? XD

Why would it make you want to play it less in the first place?
Just stop your bitching and accept it's better than 7 already.
Kinda hard to compare two games 20 years apart. FFVII was way ahead of it's time, FFXV way behind it. Even Grand Theft Auto has better gameplay and much less DLC>
What a casual sperg bringing up Grand Theft Auto LOL. 7 has aged worse than any video game ever made.
lol ffxv is gonna be better if at least they FINISHED IT before selling it...
Square is partially back on the right path, but they still have a ways to go before they'll create another true classic.
frozenaorta what FF wasn't better than xiii?
+kwabena27 The original version of XIV? Lol. Mystic Quest? In all seriousness, I think I prefer XIII to X-2, as well.
kwabena27 II

1:32 so true I care about Prompto way more than Noctis's fiancé Luna😂 #PromptisFtw
Reirichi Prompto is best girl.
tbh i hated his ass until i accidentally entered the scene where they sin in front a sign and talk about deep shit, since then i relate to him to a whole new level, i still like Gladio better though but my favorite is Ardyn.
where's the prompto route!
Reirichi when Prompto was abducted I literally threw everything out my window to save him, while when Luna was on Altissia I was chilling and doing all sidequests. xD

I actually had the opposite experience. I felt like i was slogging through the open world for most of the game and was a lot more interested in the story. I was actually happy when the game turned more linear cause it was a nice break from the bland fetch quests that the open world had me constantly doing.

mattkirkhamm bro first of all noctis is a baby teenager and everyone in lucius was killed or turned into a demon, including his family and his bros' families. noctis has to start somewhere and that's working at a restaurant. i think that plot point was really fucking smart.. maybe you missed it
no its fucking waste of time, and most of all boring, a game should never bore you, side quests can be done well look at the witcher 3, this game is trash, granted im only 20 hours is but it should not take more than an hour for a game to get good
Mathew McNamara not really. this game is good.
how?
I actually loved this game, the ending was fun and satisfying despite that 1 chapter right before it. Its the best ff in 3 generations, it took them so long to finally make a good one again, fuck those 13 sequels.
Mightylink yea I really don't like 13 either, weakest FF IMO and of course they had to have a trilogy about that one lol
In my opinion, FFXV's problem is the exact opposite of the XIII trilogy.
*The XIII trilogy gave us WAY too much info* that doesn't really add anything to the plot (e.g Ragnarok being responsible for 26 hour days), *while XV doesn't give us enough.*
Mightylink the ending of this game got to me
Yeeh sure if u like no backstory at all. Dont mind main story plots being left outside the game and bosses that are just quick time events. dont mind that then sure its great...
None of the bosses were quick time events, only the final stage of a 4 stage boss fight was QTE. That is hardly all of them.
I was sitting here waiting for “Starring: Sasuke Uchiha.” xD
you wasted the perfect chance for a "uchiha sasuke" joke
I know right every fucking time I see Noctis's punchble pretty boy face I keep expecting Naruto to show up.
damn thats true.
Thought Sasuke's hairstyle was outdated 5 years ago. Yeah, he should mention it in this honest trailer. When I saw Noctis's hair for the first time, I was like "meh".
Noctis was created before Sasuke.
Noctis : 2006
Sasuke : 2007
Noctis Lucis Caelum uhm no. Naruto came out in 2002 and ended in 2007.
"But have so much screen time and personality you'll care about them way more than the girl you're 'supposed' to be 'in love with'!" It's so true! Many didn't give a flying heck about that cardboard box and only cared for the bromance! 8D
PREACH IT, BROTHER! PREACH IT!
Also I gotta say this one is the MOST HONEST game trailer ever. Because a lot of what has been said about the game is...practically what happens and is true if you think about it.
You should do a trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" for the name alone. Seriously.
What about the sub title? "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A fragmentary passage"
That one's a mouthful.
Kingdom Hearts, except every time they say light it's replaced by We Are Number One
I know this is ages ago lol but they used this comment for the 2.8 honest trailer...in case you never notoced.
"kairi" SCREAMING
"That one guy from Lost" YES!
With a voice nothing like the guy from Lost.
Se th that's pretty subjective tbh, even the main story bored me in that game
I thought that Oblivion had really good side quest's (though it wasn't anywhere near the scale of Witcher 3)
I feel like the only person who feels like the Witcher is just mediocre. Also loved the last part of FFXV. Wish the story rollercoaster was longer.
Having good sidequests would require the game having good gameplay. The Witcher 3 doesn't.
Honestly, Gladio is Noct's Daddy, Ignis is Noct's Mummy and Prompto is Noctis's husband. xD
Dang right! XD

Cindy was the only picture I saved in the entire game, so it was my only choice at the end.
William Ha I did the cup noodles (with shrimp) because I felt it had the most meaning.
Billy Rigby Romanticism
Billy Rigby never thought of that, lol
Billy Rigby Lunafreya was captive of the Nifleheim empire after they attacked Tenebrae. Regis only managed to save Noctis because Luna didn't want to leave Ravus behind. It's basically just another plot point left unexplained but makes sense if you watch Kingsglaive.
Because Doge Telco is the only telco not monitored and tracked by the Empire.
because she's such a bitch.
I saw this video, and actually wanted to replay this game. Flawed as it is, it still has it's unique charm
I’ve somehow played it 4 whole times. Looks great on PS5 with far less load time. Now to test it on the Series X
It's 2024! I went through one time of FFXVI, and just felt, na I don't wanna do a second playthrough anymore... I need to play FFXV again, this one was way more fun and I actually cared so much about the characters here!!
@@ErdingerLi So true :)
Sasuke's Fantasy XV...
NARUTO
10 year old joke
a meme still a meme it the kek you put into it that makes it memorable not its age. age is irrelevant :p
For a moment I read "Sakura Fantasy XV" and I was like Oh Yeah ( ͡ ͡° ͜ ʖ ͡ ͡° )
Please say, "My greatest wish is to be a pretty, pretty princess."
Who's here for "Too Old For This Cid"?
Get the pun in this. Made my day. Damn XD
#Daddy? One-Winged Asshole? omg i'm ded XD
Claudius Seraph the one winged asshole got me 😂
Kairi got me
That One Dude From Lost.
Noctis isn't emo though...Just a really sleepy guy who had his father killed a little while ago.
kenjikuroiwa99 Yeah, that's probably the only they got wrong. I was actually pleasantly surprised by Noctis' personality, he seemed very genuine.
People keep judging him by his appearance, "Oh he looks like Sasuke, he MUST be another Sasuke" -.-
definitely not *dark* Cloud or anything like that...lol
kenjikuroiwa99 I mean a couple of times he was pretty angsty
Well lose your dad and your fiancée and try to not be angsty lol
I like the long car rides...gives me a chance to check my phone.
Carly Crays I spent it playing other videogames
Carly Crays to see if it's time to sell that ass $
You spent your long car ride playing other console games?
Jo Umero mostly picross 3d round 2 on the 3ds
The long car rides/really long loading are actually helping me keep to
my resolution of getting back in shape. Do sit-ups and pushups every
while I wait - usually to exhaustion before I get to figgen far away
island resort place.
Besides 6, I would say this was my favorite FF, to me I think a lot of people gave this game shit because they blew it up SO much that it didn't live up to their bloated expectations. I thought the ending was near perfect, too many people just wants a "happy ending" nowdays.
I love this game too. I'm kind of a newbie to the series but I love it!
1:43 "easy there big guy"
LMFAO I don't know why this part was so funny to me 😂
Too old for this cid...XD I'm dead
We all know Noctis and crew have insomnia
and so do I from playing this game
Why do I relate so much? omfg they do rarely sleep if we put actual logic there XD
The biggest problem, are you serious? That was just for the sake of comedy, and to let you know what happens if you don't refuel
Watch the beginning again mate. They explain that Hammerhead was already the destination and that they got "carried away", presumably sightseeing or doing other things as they've never really been outside Insomnia before 😊
Hahaa, that was great. Should've inlude that in the video 😂
Also, you'd think the crown prince of an entire kingdom would atleast have some lunch money to start with on a journey.
Game is not perfect. But I love it, so much to do as a final fantasy fan. Best in the series since the 90s.
Honestly it made me like ff13. ff15 had all the right ingredients for a truly epic game, they fucked up though
so are you kidding? i was thinking the best ones are VII to IX
I love almost everything about FFXV and I *still* found this shit hilarious!
Dark Cloud was actually a really good game. They should do an honest trailer of that.
"This is like a real-life RPG!" DAMMIT PROMPTO
I swear i'm the only person who thoroughly enjoyed this game..
Nope.
I like it when I can actually play. Waiting for the load screens makes me want to pull my hair out.
+LesLangues11 when you fast travel just a little too far and you see the actual loading bar; FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU
LesLangues11 me too, the loading times were ridiculous
Harrison Stone I do
People who say the combat is "bad" or has "no depth" have just never taken the time to learn how to fight.
SevereOutcast Combat is bad. Most of that shit barely makes a difference and is too ambiguous to trigger. And camera is shit.
Meh.
so mash one button the whole game......i need learn something for that? comon this piece of trash is not even a FF
HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING
I love this game, but you pretty much nailed it XD
BRILLIANT
This is so true omg. But the game is honestly still so awesome. I'm addicted.
I miss the days when Final Fantasy was about Fantasy. Their games have been increasingly more "modern" with cars, cell phones, and other things like that since FF7... I want Airships and Chocobos, not cars and cell phones.
FF14 dude, it's awesome.
CaoSong Did you play the game? Don't know about you, but I'm spending most of my time in the back of a chocobo.
Try FF Type-0.
CaoSong probably only played 7 lol
CaoSong there's also a airship
Yeah, I agree that even with 10 years of development the game still looks like it wasn't finished. But it is so good anyway that even the honest trailer makes you want to play it!
It wasn't in development for 10 years....
TheKing Yes it was. "Development" includes all parts of the creation process.
***** No...No it wasn't
Development started in like 2013. Development does not include FF Versus XIII that game got scrapped
TheKing Of course it does. They used a lot of things from Versus XIII. You're not making any sense.
Forest Whitaka*
I knew I couldn't have been the only one who that that editor or photographer, whatever he was looked like Hurley from Lost.
- Dark Cloud
- Full Fanservice
- that one guy from Lost
lol you cracked me
Say "Off my chair jester, the king sits there."
FF XV strikes me as a step in the right direction that got completely overshadowed in different areas by the likes of Breath of the Wild, NieR Automata and Persona 5
Holy crap... That game is as far a step backwards can go when we talk about the Final Fantasy franchise.
So, better games, in other words?
Except none of those games have even an ounce of FFXV’s attention to detail...
Jaden Chan
What ? NieR:Automata ? Dude... Everything in that game has a purpose and enhances the main narrative.
On the other hand FFXV is full of filler BS and an unfinished last arc, please...
I know it doesn't mean much, but heck !
Even this Final Fantasy fanboy here calls NieR:Automata a Masterpiece, can't recall him saying that about FFXV though: ua-cam.com/video/_EwFZrQWFVo/v-deo.html
+Jaden Chan I'm sorry, have you PLAYED Breath Of The Wild? I don't recall being able to cut every blade of grass in the game world in Unfinished Fantasy XV.
please say 'off my chair jester, the king sits there'
Fred Cox The BEST
Isn't Ardyn the king?
I mean he was at least and he's still alive. I guess he just gave up his claim to it.
the game seems to imply he was usurped, so he was king but lost the throne, so he's a former king not 'the' king. and I'm guessing their was no ceremony to restore his monarchy so Noctis is still the legitimate heir to the throne, and i have watched way to much game of thrones
3:07 The way you said 'grenades' killed me 🤣🤣😂
This game can be resume in one line :
"THAT'S IT !!! I've come up with a new recipe."
