terhazza she mentioned that Joss saw Ed Wood. Her father played as Bela Lugosi. He’s of my favourite actors because of this one film. ua-cam.com/video/iTDddWyy17s/v-deo.html
Tim and Johnny got both pretty lucky making this film, getting Juliet and her father, the late and great Martin Landau, who we know sadly passed away last year, anyways, though, a rare first in film, save today to cast an actor or actress and cast their son or daughter as well and we see them in more than one scene in the same film together. Not sure it even matters, for now, if this was a film/Hollywood first ever, or whatever myself, I'll see if I get round to researching that one.
I love how in the commentary track, the writers mentioned that this scene had to go through a fine tooth comb by the Disney lawyers to make sure that they couldn't be sued. Apparently to this day Loretta King and the SJP character still argue about who said what in regards to financing.
I think they did the best job possible under the circumstances. It's just ambiguous enough to let them off the hook. Is Loretta King crazy and flighty? Or did Ed just hear what he wanted to hear? Or both?
@@jonathanstern5537 She spent a lot of her childhood in England while Martin was making Space: 1999. I think she can sort of go back and forth at will.
Do you think it was weird for her to be in the same movie with her dad? Do you think it was weird for her dad to be in the same movie with her? I remember when I was in camp, my sister and I were in Grease together, and we were supposed to be boyfriend and girlfriend in one scene. That was weird.
I never understood the meaning of the line: "No. No water. No liquids! I'm terribly allergic to them". What does it means? She can't live without water! Please, can someone explain it to me? Thank you.
Basically just a way of showing that she has a screw loose, and that she probably goes back on the things she says all the time. Like, say, agreeing to bankroll Ed's movie and then later saying that she gave him all she had, which was only a few thousand dollars.
That "no liquids" line was neither funny nor dramatic it was a completely unfitting line where they needed some stuffing because they couldnt think of anything worthwhile
Juliet is such an amazing actress. Her performance as Drusilla was so spot on that I thought her British accent was real.
When Juliet Landau gives that sullen look and declines any liquids I can see Drusilla right there lol.
I see Drusilla in my dreams.
@@wiiliamhamilton147 lol she is pretty I admit.
That "No liquids" line still makes me laugh.
I love it too.
Jose Cerrillo I see Drusilla in the no liquids line
both Juliet and Johnny are absolutely beautiful and amazing actors.
Such a beauty, great actress too
"Can't you just see me in the part?" Oh yeah. Easy to see how Joss Whedon must have watched this and thought "Oh, she would be an excellent vampire."

I'm kind of expecting Spike to burst in and be all like "Dru! So this is the 'Chaos Demon' you've been seeing!?!"
I love Johnny Depp & Juliet Landau. When she freaked out about the water at 0:15 i thought it was Drusilla for a moment lol.
No water..no she wants bloooood
Hahaha

Best actress of all time. Mr Burton Should use her way more.
"no liquids, i'm terribly allergic to them!" LOL
There's so much talent in this video, I think my head might explode. I mean, honestly, what can you say about two performances like that?
That decision came around to bite him. Makes it even funnier.
wow she is so beautiful in that shiny gown love her outfit. sware that guy is johney dep
omgg johnny depp

Baby face lol he so handsome ..

Juliet Landau was actually pretty good in this role.
she was just awesome in Buffy/Angel. crazy as hell, but awesomeee
Weird to hear Juliet speaking without an English accent
She's from California... soooo..

It looked like he was using her, but it turned out she scammed him.
She wasn't scamming him. Ed just mistook her comment on how $60,000 was very reasonable for a whole movie as her being willing and able to pay it.
I love her, but does she ever get to play anyone sane?
“I’m DEATHLY allergic to liquids” how do u stay hydrated then??
She's not English?!?! I was surprised her father was martin landau, but she's not English?!?! That really shocks me!
If I go to Heaven when I die, it'll be populated by Juliets wearing that dress.... Sigh...
Amen! Hallelujah! 😁😍
makes me laugh every time

في الأساس مجرد طريقة لإظهار أنها لديها مشكلة وأنها
Drusilla
