- The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is probably not what you're thinking of. This is a careful study of the unforgivable sin and it will seek to answer a bunch of specific questions about the topic. What is it? Have you committed it? Is it possible for a believer to commit it? Can someone repent after they have done it? Should Christians try to label people with this sin?
I hope that this study will not only give you good information but also give you good counsel on how to deal with this difficult and important issue.

Wow, I was really blessed by this. I admit that as an ex-atheist, I struggled with this for a while, but God gave me closure..In my ignorance I said some frankly stupid things. I'm just thankful for God's forgiveness. When I was baptist in Jesus name, I literally felt like 1000 unexplainable pounds come off me. Thank you brother for sharing this🙏

The unforgivable sin is probably one of the most misunderstood topics in the Bible, and also is very scary to many believing Christians. Thank you for your helpful and sound exegesis on this important subject.
That's probably because most people live their lives based around what they're afraid of... (the answer is dying. People are afraid of dying)

Perfect comment! I can't think of a better way to say it! I especially liked his summary at the end, about willfully & continually rejecting the light we have been given and thereby hardening our hearts.
Based on his definition, he's talking about lying in the face of truth despite knowing the truth. Self delusion is dangerous stuff. This is true. Add the specific nature of what lie is the ultimate sin, and you get Christian self preservation. If a lie is more unforgivable than murder then let's stop breeding all together. This is a sin against the Church not against God. Speaking against the church or the word of the bible is forbidden based on what the bible says. Christians have a tendency to twist this to suggest that we all received faith in the scriptures from God. Believing as I do, that man is the author, is not a sin, based on this teaching, because there is no evidence in my heart. So for those who think I commit the ultimate sin by denying that jesus was more than a man must take into consideration that it hasnt been revealed to me to be true. But many Christian's will insist that I am denying the truth. Many would prefer to beleive that I am lying because they would rather exept that than beleive there are people who believe there bible was written by men in power. The most common misconception of the faith is that people willfully blind themselves from its truth. Ironically. Both sides truly beleive that it's what the other is doing. Faith is believing you know what you cannot know.
As someone who struggles with scrupulousity - a type of OCD that manifests through religion - I get trapped in loops of my mind saying things that would have counted in a very conservative interpretation of this verse. It’s not something I can control, and for years I fought it constantly. Now I try to give it to God.

I suffer from scrupulousity as well, and I went through the same thing with this passage. I feel you sister.
I struggle hard with it too. One thing that helped me was arguing them or thinking of something true and simple I can repeat over the loop. Like God is Holy Rightious and Truth. And I pray to God everytime this happens. And little things can trigger a loop or a bad thought so if I grab onto something I know is true and what I know I believe in that helps.

I am so scared of committing the unforgivable sin. I was suffering from severe depression and anxiety and I gave my life to Christ and I was healed. Then I hear people saying that I didn’t get healed by Jesus that I’m practically delusional and I’m using it as a crutch and I’m so afraid that they are trying to convince me of that. Pray for me.

It's important to keep your faith in perspective. Remember that miracles are not rewards for good behavior, they are willful acts he decides based on his plan. Be thankful for your health but do not become fully dependant on God to solve all of your problems. That may be what the people around you are getting at. I have a father who struggles with the same pitfall.

I was mainly talking about the secular world hating us and telling us we do not have the truth. but I agree that telling someone that they are acting without sense is not hate as long as it is done in love.
@@maxbolser8496 Yes but, unbelievers telling you you are wrong is also not hate. The secular world is not a hateful place, they are searching for answers as much as we are. They need understanding, not exclusion. We are not their victims.
I willfully sinned for years-- even though I knew it was wrong. Strange thing is, I ask to be saved. God delivered me from the desire to sin. But now, I'm so afraid I'm beyond hope. To anyone under the sound of my voice, please don't play with sin. Sin destroys everything it touches.. Please help me
If you have repented, turned away, from your sin and believe In Jesus Christ you are saved. He doesn't remember our sin. The only one bringing it to mind again is satan or our own ignorance of the power of God. Jesus said that of all the ones the Father has given him, He hasn't lost one. Trust Him. Read the Word. And don't let the past take your joy.

To bring you comfort, you need to have a full grasp of what repentance means. To repent doesn’t mean ask forgiveness. Repent means to not only ask forgiveness but to have a change of mind. For example, I loved fornication. When the Holy Spirit got a hold on me, I realized how terrible that sin is. I asked forgiveness and I turned from it. Repetitively asking forgiveness with no intent to change is not repentance.

As someone who left my “faith” (I didn’t really believe. I was just scared of hell) to new age psychopathy, and back to Christ FULLY I really thank you for covering this. I will go weeks with full blown panic attacks thinking I’m condemned forever because I was idiotic. Thankfully through realization and comfort from the Holy Spirit I understand I would not have a desire to know and love God had I committed the unforgivable sin. ❤️

Oh wow. This is where I've been lately, thinking that my sins are too great, and having major anxiety, to the point of shaking and barely able to feel my legs. Thank you for your comment.
I was born again at 9 yrs old. I memorized a Bible verse, believed then began experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit. at 15 I renounced my faith. before that moment I couldn't stand drugs & didn't even cuss. I did my best to be christ like. immediately I spiraled into meth addiction & ended up getting pregnant at 17 & having a late term abortion😢. the amount of damage I did in the world for 8 yrs was colossal. but God pursued me and had to convince me that just because i renounced my faith & denied Him didn't mean I couldn't come back to Him. He wanted me back..I became born again at a rehab. I experienced some supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit also. went to Bible College but had a brief relapse beforehand that broke my heart of my unfaithfulness. 3 yrs later, bc I didn't confess my sin, I felt far from God again and didn't deal w that period of time in sin. I really wanted to lose weight & get married, so I began throwing up after each meal. I got into bondage with this for almost 8 yrs. got married Noone knew I was bulimic. then my son was born, and he had a HUGE regression at 2 yrs old that made me think I was losing him. I began seeking after God more & almost RENOUNCED my faith again!. I prayed if my son deteriorates & gets a bad dx I would leave Jesus. but life experience taught me that would cause me alot of trouble. I remembered how bad things got those 8 years, so I went back to the prayer room with new resolve. I prayed I would now do things God's way and not cut corners, and we would get thru my sons condition together. this was the hardest prayer I prayed in my life. a few months later, Jesus supernaturally delivered me from bulimia. 4.5 years ago. I fasted, and that instant the HS filled me so greatly I knew it was GONE. I'm so thankful the LORD is more merciful and uses our Messes to teach us. I opened up my heart to be searched and healed. went thru a huge process of trauma healing, especially for the abortion and my families trauma from childhood. God is faithful to complete the work He began in us. I can't rely on my faithfulness, but God's alone.

The biggest sin and scam is to tell people there's a better life after this life and ask them to make a donation.
I think of the Unpardonable Sin when I read C.S Lewis' "The Last Battle." At the end of the book, the Dwarves had so "hardened their hearts" for fear of being taken in, that they could not even see that Aslan was right there with them, offering them the new and better Narnia. Even Aslan couldn't rescue them because they made a prison for themselves that they could no longer choose to escape. That is truly frightening to me.
This is so good. So many people have that fear especially those who suffer from religious OCD. The enemy uses the lie of loosing salvation to put Christians in bondage with the doubt of loosing their salvation.

Most of your comment is sensible until you come to the part about Jesus (me in a former life as you know) because you say Jesus was God's son. Saying Jesus was God's son is Mithraism (paganism).

Thank you SO MUCH for this! To give you a little context...I am 45 and been a Christian since I was 6. I was under heavy demonic attack for 3 months last year. I have never been under such intense spiritual warfare. God used these verses to rescue me. It’s a much longer story than space allows for here. After the Lord redeemed me, He used those experiences as I went on a mission trip to Nepal this year. Every village I went to, I warned them what demonic manifestations looked like specifically. I know they practice Khundalini and I was able to tell them what demonic manifestations looked like and how the Lord rescued me, in the process of sharing the gospel with them.
I want to no how khundalini is manifested. I was in new age healing and I'm very worried I have that spirit in me.

Excellent exegesis, Mike. Thank you. I also used to believe that the unforgivable sin was the rejection of the Gospel, but since I myself used to reject it, I obviously hadn't thought this through. Glory to God.
In some sense, if one dies having rejected the gospel during their life, that sin (as well as all the other ones we have committed) would be unforgivable at that point since they no longer have the opportunity to accept the free gift of salvation through trusting in Christ's sacrificial death to pay for sin. But I do also believe that the specific unforgivable sin that Christ was referring to at that time was only possible during the time that He was incarnated on Earth and was what the Pharisees were guilty of, considering that they were accusing him of what Mike had stated.
Praise Jesus I had so much anxiety before watching this and the moment you explained it I felt some peace. I grew up in the church and walked away around the age 16. At age 19 I had climbed over a fence and got cuts on both of my hands, later that night my "friend" took a picture of me with my arms out, clearly mocking Christ on the cross. I did it thinking it was funny, but also I knew exactly what I was doing and felt bad immediately after. and this has eaten me up inside for years. Clearly not funny. Take it from me do not make any jokes or mock Christ in any way. It will absolutely hurt your soul and fear will eat you alive! Thank you pastor Mike!!!!

I like the Simplicity of this. But it is also always good to grow and learn and have our faith tested in the fire to make it stronger.
This video and your channel have really helped me. I have battled horrible intrusive and blasphemous thoughts for almost a decade. I've also had seasons of habitual sin. I'm ashamed of it and know that Christ's design and purpose is so much better.
Thank you for making the statement that the unforgivable sin is NOT a case of someone coming to God and God says no. We don't see that anywhere in the texts about blasphemy or apostasy. I saw a video by D.A. Carson on this subject and he described them as people who don't want to be forgiven. They're proud and self righteous in their rejection and ridicule of God.
In Matthews account I noticed that after Jesus gives this long explanation they STILL asked to see a sign from Him. (Matthew 12:28)
It's like, really? There's nothing more that Christ could do. He argued with them on a logical level. He demonstrated on the miraculous level and they were still asking for signs to prove Himself. You could almost picture Jesus saying; "Guys, I don't know what to tell ya." 🤷
Oh my gosh I’ve had horrible intrusive blasphemous thoughts too. I try to give them to Jesus but I keep being like l, “No I have to make sure.” And for some reason I get so scared that Jesus is going to be like,”You had those thoughts so I can’t forgive you now.” But I’m always like,”Lord Jesus have mercy on me a sinner!!” Because it’s so scary and sad and I just want to give up some days. But at this point, I told the Father today, “I am not going to pray anymore about this. I give this to you. Any blasphemy that has truly come from my heart please forgive me Jesus. But I keep giving into prayer over these thoughts 1 million times and I just surrender them to you.”

It is impossible for "All Christians with born-again Spirit" who once been ENLIGHTENED and TASTED the Goodness of the Word of God (Heavenly Gifts), and shared the Guidance of the Holy Spirit, but still BACKSLIDE (Fallen Away) or SPEAK of "Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" had committed the Unpardonable / Unforgivable SIN while still alive on Earth... there is no more repentance left to make it undone... (ref. Hebrews 6:4-6 / Matt. 12:32)... Amen.
God bless you Mike, thank you for the clear teaching. I have a theory that Satan will use passages about the unpardonable sin, as well as other tricky ones such as Hebrews 10:26 to deceive. I think the enemy wants people thinking they’ve committed the unpardonable sin or gone past the point of no return, and from that the enemy is hoping this will cause the victim of deception to go back to sin and the love of the world. Just a thought I’ve had for quite some time.

colton73 ~ l know what you're talking about because l went through that too. The enemy is also called 'The accuser of the brethren,' who accuses them before God day and night'. And so many times he is right that we've sinned, but he doesn't want us to _receive_ God's grace. So be wise to his tactics of trying to bear the weight of shame of sins that Jesus paid for.
The enemy tells me Ive committed the unpardonable sin and that my prayers are worthless because im already condemned. It says blasphemous things in my head and it becomes a loop but it’s not me thinking these thoughts, I can’t explain it.
@@michelletessierI went through this myself. I determined to keep calling out and trusting in God regardless of how I felt. It was incredibly difficult, but speaking from experience I can tell you there is light at the end of the tunnel. I will pray for you.

Goodness, finally the struggle of this passage is cleared. Now, I feel safe but I also feel the weight of the passage is to realize what has Christ done for us. Thank you for this video. Always, thank you, Mike. I went through post-partum psychosis. And I went into a very dark time. I’ve always loved the Lord, tried to serve him, and Never struggled with much doubt. But I went through a very hard few months of struggling with doubt. Andy I wrestled with this thought…because I know God’s word. I know the apologetics and I know this passage! So even then, I was worried I committed it. Solely by God’s grace, I came up from that time, still loving the Lord. But sometimes I still struggle if that season of doubt was the end of it for me! So just the last line “i trust in Christ. And that’s the end of this discussion.” ❤

I just kept thinking it wouldnt be in scripture if we were never meant to know what it is. Jesus said it as a warning. This has been burning on my heart lately. I am so greatful I just want to give you a hug!!! It is not like someone is knocking on heavens door and God is like no. That really comforted me. I learn more and more to know God as a righteous but loving Father, not a policeman waiting for you to trap in a fault that deserves court and punishment. As a former member of the catholic church, I have lived with that image of God until my new birth in Jesus-Christ, 35 years ago. How I praise the Lord who patiently sets me free of that fear to sin against the law and against the Lord. After my "conversion", I still used to walk in the modus : "watch out that you don't commit that ultimate unforgivable sin !". Your teaching brings a lot of clarity on this point. God bless you !

A fancier way of saying "stupid on purpose" is "willfully obtuse"

I agree completely.
And it’s important that this be the right answer, and not some other convoluted answer.
Because this definition is perfectly consistent with the unforgivable sin in the 10 commandments. “Thou shalt not take the Lords name in vain.” The correct translation “thou shalt not CARRY the Lords name in vain.” That means doing evil in Gods name. Doing something evil, and saying it’s on behalf of God, or that God wanted and asked for it. And the Ten Commandments say God will not forgive that sin. I believe that’s completely consistent with the New Testament. It’s either attributing what is of God to the devil. Or attributing what is of the devil to God.

This passage is absolutely terrifying to Christians with OCD.
But it doesn't have to be for the bible says that if you have faith in Jesus, you ARE saved (John 3 16, John 5 24 and John 6 47).

@kevinmiddleton8721 do not fear. It's just the enemy who blames you everyday. The book of Mark explains it simple. God is not the author of confusion. For they were saying he had an a unclean spirit in the undeniable proof of a miracle of God.
Expanding on the "truly truly/verily verily" thing; In the Old Testament whenever the prophets spoke on behalf of God, they always say something along the lines of "thus saith the Lord", but Jesus in the New Testament says "truly truly I say", or "verily verily". Confirming his authority, as well as his deity, in my opinion.

I’ve always thought it was continual rejection of the saving grace of Christ Jesus thus the hardening of the heart that is so set on being their own god.

20 years ago I thought I'd committed this. Come from a Pentecostal church and had many times been to the altar to receive tongues, but never did. Was a young always-been-a-Chrstian because of family, prayed the salvation prayer but had never really experienced God that I knew of. Had a show on one night and someone mentioned something about the Spirit I cannot remember, but my responding thought was a cynical, "I'd have to drag the Spirit into me." Immediately I just got this jolt in my heart and I remembered there was an unforgivable sin, so I read it again. And because the Bible mentions being accountable for "empty words" I took it to mean my flippant sarcasm counted, even though I'd only thought it. In a panic I wrote my then pastor an email and described what I'd done and he said he wasn't an expert on it, but that I was afraid would suggest I had not.
It took me a long time to get over this, after many googlings and dissecting opinions. I've never been secure even in what I do know, if the sky being blue meant something good for me I'd prolly find a way to worry it was really red. Finally the fears have mostly faded, but occasionally I'll get thoughts. Even watching this video touched a tender spot, though I do agree with it. But I try to remind myself of what gifts of the Spirit I do seem to display - my love for others even if they do me wrong, my strong sense of mercy, my dedication to truth and having good/correct motivations, and my rabid love of Jesus. I look at these and try to realize that people the Holy Spirit is working on do not display them, and that is how I know I've not become unforgivable.

@@COKTilYouDropand there’s a good reason for that if you consider Mike’s teaching here. The unforgivable sin is the result of an incredible hardening of the heart in the face of great revelation. If someone was unsure and worrying about committing it, how can they be that hard of heart? On the contrary, they’re still looking for answers from God.

If we sin against the H.S., we are already been JUDGED and CONDEMNED in the Punishment of Hell together with SATAN and his fallen angels/demons.

This sin, means that the person will never repent, not that God won't forgive. I like that idea. So what ever it is, must be someone who has blinded themselves, and refuses to admit that they are now blind. It is beyond human ability to say who is too far gone, to not admit and then be healed.

When I hear people interpret what the unforgivable sin is, they seem to concentrate on what the Pharisees said (“He has an impure spirit”) and not give much attention to what Jesus said in the next verse. Jesus defines what the Pharisees said in Matthew 12:32 (NIV “anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven”). I hear people placing Jesus as the focal point within the definition of the unforgivable sin. Meaning, without Jesus bodily being there, the unforgivable sin is impossible. Now, the Pharisees said that the Spirit in Jesus was Satan. If that was the only way to commit the unforgivable sin, why did he say “anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven”? If you take those two statements, “He has an impure spirit” and “anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven”, they are different. “He has an impure spirit” is very specific, whereas “anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven” is a bit more broad in application. So “anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven” is the definition of the unforgivable sin, whereas “He has an impure spirit” fits within that definition. Hence, since blaspheming is not only stating that the Holy Spirit is satan, the definition of blasphemy is much broader than that. The way I see it, the unforgivable sin was not that they said Jesus was this or that, but that they said the Holy Spirit was Satan. Although, Jesus was implicated, the unforgivable sin is calling the Holy Spirit Satan. Before that, Jesus stated all sin against Jesus will be forgiven. Again, Jesus is not associated with the unforgivable sin. (Side note: it is interesting that the statement “all sin against Jesus will be forgiven”, when we know unbelievers don’t have forgiveness of sins. The only people who have forgiveness of sins against Jesus are believers. That makes an argument that a believer can commit the unforgivable sin. ) It looks like the scripture is clear in this matter, speaking (blasphemy) against the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin. Why do we take a text that looks straightforward and make something else of it that is not part of the text? Is there something in the Greek or their culture that would give us a different meaning of the scripture or a different way to look at it?
Here is something to think about when it comes to people worried about committing the unforgivable sin. It is directed toward the Holy Spirit. How many people have you ever heard slander the Holy Spirit? Jesus’ name is used in a slanderous way every day, but not the Holy Spirit. It seems awkward in our society to use the Holy Spirit in a profane way, thus, making it rare to commit a sin against the Holy Spirit.
I also hear people say, do you think God would condemn someone just by saying something against the Holy Spirit? (As if they think saying something against the Holy Spirit is a small thing. It would appear that way when we do that to each other in our society today and make nothing of it.) I used to say no, it didn’t make sense how I understood God back then. But now I don’t think that way anymore. God is much more than the God I had in a box. He is a God of grace and justice. Moses wasn’t allowed into the promise land because he hit a rock with a stick. Uzzah was struck dead when trying to save the ark after touching it and Ananias and Sapphira were struck dead after they lied to the Holy Spirit. My point is that God is no respecter of man and though we don’t always enforce our rules, He does. All the situations above seem to have drastic consequences when looking at them through the eyes of our society today. He is a Just God and will not compromise his justice. Adam and Eve didn’t get a second chance after eating the fruit. Their consequence was final. They were kicked out of the garden and death entered the world. I know these examples are not necessarily dealing with eternity, they are dealing with extreme judgment on things we would consider minor offenses in today's culture. Now, of course, God's grace is part of his plan, but only when it is covered by the blood of Christ. That is when his justice is put upon Christ’s sacrifice instead of ours. I think the unforgivable sin in Matthew, Mark, and Luke are not covered by the blood of Christ. I give those examples of God’s judgment because people tend to think God would not judge in this way and that is because of their view of a loving God and leaving out the justice side of Him.
So do you think that someone who has unwanted blasphemous thoughts about the Holy Spirit has committed this sin?

I believe that this is absolutely correct and I also believe that this is tied to Luke 12:45-48:-
45. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46. The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.48. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
I believe that this is the state of those human beings who deny the Truth of who God is, even though they have been given the Truth in undeniable proofs, but they will not receive it, so God sends them a strong delusion (2 Thess.2:10-12) if we insist on denying the Truth that is in front of us, then we become so self deceived that the Spirit of Truth can’t reach us.
I believe that this is true of Satan as well and I believe that in Satan’s case, the Bible calls him the most beautiful, most wise, most everything and he had an intimate knowledge of God, yet in his pride, he deluded himself into thinking that he could become equal with God. This level of self deception means that he has completely denied THE TRUTH. ALL the Truth. It follows then that he cannot ever conceive truth and therefore the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus called the Spirit of Truth cannot reveal truth to him.
Another thing about the Scribes is that they and the Pharisees KNEW that Jesus was the Son of God, the Messiah. The parable of the Lord of the vineyard tells us that the evil servants knew who the son and heir was and in the texts, we’re told that the Pharisees recognised that Jesus was talking about them. Nicodemas was a Pharisee and he said; ‘We know that you are from God.’ Which seems to point toward a common belief amongst them that Jesus was who He said He was.
One last point; You mentioned the Book of Hebrews and that book is clearly speaking to born again believers (As are all the books in the New Testament) and in Hebrews 10 we read:-
26. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
This specifically says that this person WAS sanctified (v.29) and that he despises the Spirit of grace. You cannot say that this is talking about someone who is not born again.
Also Peter says this:-
20. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
From the texts that cover this subject, I’m convinced that this not a sin that one can commit unkowingly. All the passages teach that this is a very deliberate act that comes from a hard heart:-
7. Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8. Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
12. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15. While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Once Saved Always Saved teachers say that these tects are talking to fake Christians, but the language of Hebrews shows that this cannot possibl;y be true. The beginning of Chapter 3 tells us this:-
1. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
The doctrine of Once Saved, Always Saved is not scripturally valid. There are over 80 places in the New Testament that warn of the possibility of born again believers turning away from their salvation. 2 Peter 2:20-22 is one of them. The question must be asked of this text; why is their ‘latter end worse with them than the beginning’? There’s only one answer to this and that is that in their beginning, they had a possiblity of salvation, but now they do not, just as the writer of Hebrews says in Her.6:4-6.
I believe that the key here is how much Truth these people have been given and how much Truth they have DELIBERATLEY and KNOWINGLY denied.

I don't know how this topic appeared in my feed but I was just speaking to a muslim at work about this very topic and the next day this appeared. It's either my phone listening into my conversations or God. Or God making my phone listen into my conversations.
Testimony! Divine timing. I was on UA-cam watching cow hoof get trimmed. (Why? Idk😂) but I wasn’t planning on watching any sermon but this came up on my recommended. Mike Winger is one of the two online pastors that I trust to teach me (other is Spencer Smith) and God knows this. I was planning on purchasing a gun so that I could commit suicide because my mind keeps thinking blasphemy (intrusive thoughts) I hated that my mind kept thinking it and I couldn’t stop it so I was going to end it because I don’t want to be God enemy and God knew this so He sent me this video because He doesn’t want me to commit suicide over something that I didn’t do. This video is 2 yrs old and I never seen this before. I love you Jesus. Thank you.

I am one of those people people that can hardly do anything right. I don't know the whole bible and I had never heard of this bible passage until recently. and three came out of my mouth by mistake and accident. I repent every single day basically all day long it is constantly on my mind. I wish every day I had not seen or went to the those scriptures.I have not hardened my heart towards God or jesus or the holy spirit. I suffer from depression because of something that happened to me. I am not mad at God or jesus or the holy spirit in any way. I cry every day all day.
Based on what you said, that doesn’t sound like the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. You didn’t do it intentionally.
I said God was evil once. It was an impulsive statement out of a fit of anger. I regret ever saying this. I worry quite often that I have committed Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

I started to watch this but got to scared and shut it off.
Sometimes I'll have horrible blasphemous thoughts that just appear in my mind about Jesus. I refuse to even write what they are but I will say they depict Jesus as being the opposite of the holiness that he truly is.
I've never spoken these thoughts out loud, I dont even like writing about it.
After these thoughts occur, I fall apart and cry and beg for Jesus not to leave me and not to take the holy spirit away. The thoughts will eventually go away but they ALWAYS come back. It happens mostly if I'm reading the bible or watching something about Jesus. The thoughts do NOT match my love and devotion that I feel towards Christ. I love Jesus so much but I don't know how to control what pops into my head. I don't want to go to hell!! Being separated from Jesus for all of eternity is the worst possible thing that I could ever imagine. I get so scared that there's no hope for me but I don't know how to stop thoughts that just pop into my head.
This whole subject just terrifies me. The thought that Jesus didn't die for all our sins and there is one he won't forgive REALLY scares me and I'm constantly terrified that I'll lose my salvation.
Sorry for rambling on and on but I'm really scared about losing Jesus.

As a Christian and psychotherapist I struggle with these intrusive thoughts, that occur at the most inconvenient times. They wax and wane, but sometimes comes up when I’m most anxious, fearful. Truly worship and staying in the Word has helped. I’ve asked the Lord to help me and forgive me multiple times. It’s a type of anxiety. We are in a fallen state. The Lord is merciful and knows, it’s the last thing I ever want to think of him. Oh wretched man I am. But God’s grace
